How to unlock the War-God's Bloodlust achievement in Hades - Definitive Guide

To get the prophecy added to the Fated List of Minor Prophecies you'll need to keep giving Ares nectar gifts on your runs. I think it takes 5 or 6 gifts.

To complete the prophecy you need to have killed 10,000 enemies across all of your runs. Kills attained prior to unlocking the prophecy still count towards this.

You can check how many kills you've attained by using the pool in your room (provided you've built it via the House Contractor).

With the required amount of kills, find Ares on a new run to finish the prophecy. You'll already have Ares' Blood-Filled Vial keepsake, so equip that and you'll be guaranteed to find him.

It took me forever to get the prophecy, and once I got it, it immediately got fulfilled laugh

Over 28k kills, epilogue completed, every other achievement completed, full nectar and he still won't give me the prophecy. -__-

I will try this method then Mecha, I am at like 30k kills and a 12-run streak currently, so hopefully this does it

It was an achievement coming out of nowhere, I was at 44k of kills and lacking a heart for Ares, and when I was chasing to see him, he was just giving me usual dialogue. And when I nonchalantly pressed A to skip, I saw the 10k dialogue and got the prophecy fulfilled confirmation. Weird.

Yeah I’m upwards of 15,000 kills at the moment, given as much nectar as possible to Ares, and he still won’t give the prophecy. Hopefully soon he will.

Edit: Finally did it!

Finally figured it out. I was on a 12-run streak (escaping each time) and couldn't get any progress out of Ares. I finally went on a suicide run (Guan Yu) and died in the first chamber, equipped the Blood Filled Vial, talked to Ares right out of the gate, and the prophecy popped. I had to run another short suicide run to talk to him again AFTER the "Prophecy Foretold" icon popped up to actually get the "Prophecy Fulfilled" status.

I'd definitely recommend doing a short-death run, then equipping Ares' keepsake to see if you can get the Prophecy revealed.

Requirements: Must have purchased the "Fated List of Minor Prophecies" job from the House Contractor.

The "War-God's Bloodlust" prophecy states: "The son of the god of the dead shall someday single-handedly vanquish entire legions of the dead, such that even the god of war cannot help but be impressed." Completing it rewards you with 2 Titan Blood.

This prophecy is quite simple and just requires you to defeat a total of 10,000 enemies. First you'll need to unlock this prophecy, as you won't have it to begin with. Thankfully it's very simple to unlock and will happen naturally as you play; once you've killed 2,000 enemies in total, the prophecy will unlock. That's it, then just keep completing runs until you've killed at least 10,000 enemies. An easy way to keep track is to purchase the "Pool, Scrying" from the House Contractor, located under the Bedchambers tab and costs only 10 Gemstones. The Scrying Pool will then appear in your bedroom, immediately to the left of the bed. Interacting with it will tell you how many escapes you've attempted and how many enemies you have killed.

Once you've defeated 10,000 enemies, the next time you talk to Ares (by accepting his Boon), the prophecy should complete and the trophy will pop. If it doesn't happen right away, keep going for Ares' Boons until you get the relevant dialogue. Use Ares' "Blood-Filled Vial" Keepsake to force his Boon to appear if you aren't finding any.
