How to unlock the Sandbox Skull achievement in Halo 3 - Definitive Guide
Use this video, I used it and it saved me a whole lot of time versus me finding it myself:

That worked great! By far the easiest method!

Yep, this is an awesome video, very simple method. Forget the tunnel-building.

Use the following video to do it fastest.
Download the map I created to easily get the skull on bungie.net:
http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3...
Tutorial on how to use the downloaded map:
First you will need to load the map in Forge, and start the game. You will spawn on a blank map, with a bubble shield and teleport in front of you. Pick up the bubble and walk through the teleport, as soon you pass, drop the bubble shield at your feet. At this time, you will be in the middle of the bubble. Take your time and spot the skull along with the other bubble shields. Remember, the auto-gun will only hit you from one direction, so you can actually leave space in between the bubbles, or leave your bubble to get another one, as long as you are not in direct sight of the auto-gun. Make a "pathway" of bubbles all the way to the skull, as shown in the video, pick it up with your melee button (RB default) and you're finished!

Can be easily obtained with a bit of fun at the same time. Instead of building a tunnel and manipulating the piece into place so as not to get hit. Just build a corner tube, get inside and while in the hold state - (A) button, you can fly around the whole map, take as long as you like and still pick up the skull. Very funny with two people as well, as one can stand in the tube being flown around.

Great guide, better than faffing around with map varients. Thumb up from me.

There is a map already made so that you can do this easily.
You have to walk up the sand-dune until you find the tunnel, then just walk through it.
Of course if you wanted to do it yourself you could build your own tunnel.

I had already made a map and i found a video so twice as easy.
Heres the link to the map I created(the teleporter is at the one of the ends of the map. You can't miss it you will see a bunch of lights past the barriers)
Here is the video(just use this until i put the map in my fileshare)

Hi I have a very easy solution for getting this skull! Go to the border markers to the right of the sun! Build a tube corner! Drop it get I and stand in the middle! Pick up the tube corner while standing there and use. Your movement controlled to move it all the way to the wall and stop just in front of the skull and jump out as master chief and pick it up before the lasers get you! While moving the tube corner from inside try not to stop! Thanks and hope it helps!
Simply follow the recent OXM Skull Guide [on Inside Xbox]- place a sender teleporter in the ruins area, alongside a bubble shield, and then as the monitor hold left trigger and speed boost to the skulls location [inbetween the first and second towers to the right of the sunset- it is just before the metal ramp starts, next to the begginning of a huge dune], dodging the Guardians fire by going up down left right etc. and drop the reciever teleporter as close as possible. Then, let the Guardians kill you, respawn, take the bubble shield ad AS SOON as you hop through your sender teleporter, drop the shield. the skull should be within an acceptable distance- run out snatch it, and wait for the achievement to pop.
As of 2013, I have this permanently in my file share, credit to the gamer 'Slashburn', just load the map and follow the tunnel to the skull
I have a Forge map in my file-share called New Gulch V2. If anyone needs this achievement, you will need to add me as a friend & download this file. It takes you a couple of minutes to get this achievement.
Bungie file-share is dead or down so the only way to get the file is via my file-share. Send me a message on XBL with the Friend Request so I know what you are after. Thanks

For those of us who aren't fully versed on all the Halo lore, etc... I'll say this plainly so that you don't have to go hunting for the answer like I did.
In order to get all 6 of the Vidmaster Challenge: Brainpan skulls, *all you need* is Halo: ODST. I'm saying this so that you know you don't have to buy the Mythic pack for Halo 3. ODST has those maps on the second disc, and those maps do contain the 3 skulls from Halo 3.
So in other words, if you have ODST, you can get all 6 skulls, including this one, on the multiplayer disc (very, very easily, and get yourself a quick 175 GS in under an hour), or you can use Halo with the two Mythic packs. All of the skulls are available in both places.
I highly recommend the videos that ryankelty posted in the Vidmaster: Brainpan guide. They are excellent, and I want to give him credit for finding them (and to the players who posted them), although I'm going to put them up here for easy reference.
This skull, Sandbox, is in the first video. The second is for your convenience if you're looking for all six. You should *absolutely* download the suggest map, "skull map" in order to obtain this otherwise practically impossible skull.
Cheers!
