How to unlock the A Legendary Episode achievement in Halo 4 - Definitive Guide

This achievement is to complete all 5 chapters of Episode 1 of Spartan Ops on legendary difficulty.

In Spartan Ops you have unlimited lives, unlike campaign. So you can rush all you want without penalty. Out of ammo? Kill yourself for more.

You need to either play solo or with friends. If you search for randoms online, the difficulty will always be set to Heroic. It took me about 20 minutes to complete each mission solo.

This achievement is made easier then just killing yourself for more ammo. If you add ammo to your loadout before attempting. Another suggestion is always takeout forunner watchers, as they tend to spawn crawlers and knights that are killed on the battlefield.

Where's the option to create a match for others (not on your friends list) to join? That's lame. All I have are people on my list that either play NBA2K13 or COD 24/7. -_- yawn

Not sure why I got this, but I queued for ep1 chapter1 and got it on Legendary. Once I completed the first chapter, of the first episode, and only that, the achievement popped for me.

This should still work after the server shutdown but it's a lot more annoying. It seems like your progress isn't saved locally once you exit the game so you have to do it in one sitting. Also for whatever bizarre reason loadouts were tied to the game servers, so you'll always spawn with an AR and a magnum.

A Legendary Episode - 40G (Original Achievement)

Difficulty: 3/10

To get this Achievement, you must clear all 5 Chapters of Episode 1 on Legendary difficulty.

You can do this on solo, but it will take a VERY long time and will probably frustrate you.

I suggest gathering a group of friends, or making a boosting session on here and going all out.

There is no need to be scared of dying, you will respawn, even if you are playing solo.

Note: Spartan Ops will cycle through it's Episodes to be playable right away without any planning. However it may not be Episode 1 when you check so you may want to just make your own session.

Infinity Multiplayer :: Spartan Ops related. Online Required. Must be obtained on Legendary.
Complete all 5 chapters within Spartan Ops Episode 1 'Infinity' either Solo or Cooperatively.

This cannot be done using matchmaking, those games are set at Heroic difficulty only.

Glitchy: This achievement can be glitchy and won't unlock for some.
The Fix: Complete the missions co-op legendary. If it doesn't unlock then play 1 mission legendary solo and you will unlock it.
