How to unlock the Armorer achievement in Halo 4 - Definitive Guide

You need to achieve SR-8 to unlock the Warrior armor. As a mediocre player, I got this in about 10 rounds of Big Team Slayer.

Once you have gotten to SR-8...
- Open the Spartan Hub by pressing the Start button
- Select Customize
- Select Spartan Armor and press the A button
- Select Torso
- Select Warrior
- Achievement unlocked

As pointed out by Pagemaster 146:
The Limited Edition comes with armor you can equip before playing any matches. Not everyone will have this obviously but this is an alternate way to get the achievement.

Playing Spartan Ops also gives you progress towards unlocking armor.

If you pre-ordered the game or got the Legendary edition like I did, then you actually got codes for armor, so you could get this achievement when you first start up the game.

But if you didn't pre-order it or get the Legendary Edition, then you get your first armor at SR8.

1) Press the start button.
2) Go to the customize tab.
3) Click Spartan Armor.
4) Click Torso.
5) You should see a new piece of armor called Warrior.
6) Equip this and the achievement should unlock.

Here is my guide from my channel, Toslow Gaming. Very simple, all you need to do is go to start menu in infinity. Then you will have options for Armor, Loadouts, and Spartan ID. If you level one, you may need to level up to gain access to more armor. If you preordered, your lucky.

Infinity related, Online required.
Press  to access your Spartan Hud, choose CUSTOMIZE and then:

 SPARTAN ARMOR

 Helmet
Change your Helmet, Torso or any other body location to an Armor piece other than the default Recruit to unlock

Note: You are not able to change your Armor until you reach Rank SR 8
