How to unlock the Bromageddon achievement in Halo 4 - Definitive Guide

Despite what the ONLY solution says (as of the date of this posting), you actually only need to complete the last rally point of each mission on co-op. You DO NOT need to complete WHOLE MISSION.

I ran through the game on easy first. Then, I did the last rally point of each mission on co-op. Achievement unlocked.

Don't you wish people would fact check their solutions before wasting hours of people's time?

I can confirm your solution is correct, I had already completed solo legendary, and started all the co-op heroic missions on the last rally points and still got the achievement. Thanks man, saved loads of time!

Wow, this will help me out a lot when I have time to get this with a friend.

proud to be the one to bump this solution to #1. you are absolutely right. started each level from the last rally point and played with one guest account that was afk. popped after my last mission.

^^^ How long did that take?

It took me about 2.5 hours, but I'm pretty good at Halo. Played by myself with a second controller. With a friend you could expect the same, for the average person MAYBE 4 hours solo with a second controller.

How is the other solution factually wrong? If you complete the full campaign in co-op the achievement unlocks. That is a fact. You should keep your anger issues or whatever your deal is to yourself. Negative Vote!

Actually, the other solution is technically wrong. To quote the other solution precisely...

"To get this Achievement, you must complete the entire Campaign in Co-op on Heroic difficulty or higher." (emphasis mine)

The word "must" carries the obvious implication that there is no other way. Otherwise, he would have used the word "can" in lieu of "must." Clearly, you mustn't beat the entire campaign to get this achievement. You must only beat from the last rally point onward of each mission. Therefore, the other solution is inaccurate (or at the VERY least misleading), and this one is correct. If I had followed the other solution, I would have wasted my time beating the entire game, confirming the original point that Snowed was making.

And for what it's worth, the solution that was up when Darthdante erroneously made that comment was not the same one that was up when I originally made this solution. The one you're referring to is obviously even worse as the guy did not bother to read the other solutions before posting his.

Should this reflect completion of Co-op at the level load-up screen?

Yes.

Your solution would be #1 just because its shorter compared to the other.

@JustAnothrMaori that's unusual. When I beat the last Rally Point, it marks that I have beat the campaign on "X" difficulty. I don't know what to say.

I know this is well after the fact, but I wanted to thank you for this solution. I have been putting off this achievement for far too long now! I think I'll get it tonight. wave

Can you sync a second 360 controller to you 360 to get co-op that way?

For anyone still looking to complete this game, the above solution works both for solo and co-op. Simply completing each mission from the last rally point CP on Legendary stamps each mission as completed on Legendary. 343 never patched the game to fix this.

Wait so I just have to run thru the game on easy then do the last checkpoints on legendary & the co-op with my spare?

Does this pop the achievement for the second player? Is anyone able to clarify that part ? I can't see anywhere confirming that specifically. I'm about to be the second player and don't want to waste any time. Thanks

If you don't have anybody to help you get Bromageddon/Bropocalypse, you can use two controllers to get these achievements. Once you activate your 2nd controller, simply sign in as guest and replay last checkpoint on each missions on Heroic difficulty...only if you already played the entire game on Normal difficulty.

Campaign related. Online not required. Must be obtained on Heroic+.
Must complete the Campaign Cooperatively.

To start a Cooperative Campaign you must invite a friend to join your CAMPAIGN LOBBY/or join their's. In the CAMPAIGN LOBBY press  Roster to see a list of available friends to invite. Highlight the one you wish to invite and press  then Invite to Party. Then  START CAMPAIGN.

In addition to the Solo methods Slow or Fast (See Lone Wolf Legend for method descriptions) you can use a third method - always keep 1 Spartan Safe.

Safe

  • Have a partner (or a 2nd controller) hang back while you Rush or clear out an enemy area.
  • If and when you die, you will respawn in this Safe area until you defeat the enemies to get to a new Safecheckpoint.
  • Have the partner (or a 2nd controller) commit suicide and be transported to your new Safe checkpoint.

Halo 4 allows up to 4 players playing Co-op at a time. Find partners/buddies in the Achievement Trading Thread.
