How to unlock the I Need a Hero achievement in Halo 4 - Definitive Guide

I finished this game on Heroic, and thought I would offer a few tips that helped my do it alone. For me my biggest hurdle early on was the controller. I kept crouching when I want to run, strafe or move Master Chief. What I did was turn this quick crouch feature off in the settings.

In the earlier levels I did quite a bit of using cover, but in the later levels I found the sentry attachment or item (not sure what is called) helped me out a lot. The Sentry is first found it level 3 (I think) I used it to taking out watchers and crawlers, then making the Knight more vulnerable to my DMR or Light Rifle. However, I found that if you go up against a Promethian Knight try the suppressor it makes quick work of these enemies.

I am by no means the best Halo gamer out there just thought that this would help anyone interested.

To save time you can load up the last rally point of every level and play them on heroic or legendary once you have beaten the same once on normal. This counts as though you played the whole level on that difficulty when in fact you just played the last portion.

I Need a Hero - 40G (Original Achievement)

Difficulty: 5/10

To get this Achievement, you must complete the entire Campaign on Heroic difficulty or higher.

I suggest you play the game on Legendary Co-op and get this Achievement at the same time as the "Wake Up, John", "The Legend of 117", "Bropocalypse", and "Bromeggeddon" Achievements.

As said I suggest getting some of your friends together or making a boosting session on here and going for it.

I always use my Hide and Seek method for completing the new Halo games on Legendary. The trick is to have 1 player stay back a bit and be the spawn point, while the other 3 rush in and do all the killing. This way when one of the "Seekers" dies from the enemy, they will respawn on the "Hider". Once you clear the area, the Hider can move up little by little and close the distance.

Doing this will help quite a bit and shorten the time it will take to complete the game, although it will still take probably 5+ hours.

Campaign related. Online not required. Must be obtained on Heroic+.
Complete the Campaign either Solo or Cooperatively.

Easiest way, is to complete the game on a difficulty you find easy, I recommend Normal. Once complete, load the last rally point on each level and play untill the end of said level.

Stay back and take your time.

When you have played the last rally point on last level the achievement should pop
