It should also be noted that you need 'real' xbox live GOLD, the 14-day trial that comes with the game does not count as such! If you have created a file already and want to upload that (for example after upgrading to gold) you can also press Start to open the spartan menu, down to [settings and files] -> [file browser], select your file type, [local files], press Y to open fileoptions and select [upload to file share].

I guess im the only 1 who has no harddrive. Though I do its just the smallest but it doesnt care. Three unobtainables. Halo, proving, as always, to be trash.

If your having problems with this. Try clearing system cache from your hard drive.

i have no idea how they got it @silent trooper3. still can't file share as of now. i will keep trying though i will update if it starts working good luck to anyone trynna get this achievement, this is pretty much all im worried about before the servers shut down

I messaged iks man 13 and he said he just got lucky and he managed to upload a file. I have been trying for about 2 hours today with no luck

yeah he told me the same thing. no need to try for 2 hours as i doubt it works like that, i imagine its best to just try a couple of times every couple hours or so. cause sitting there doing it for 2 hours straight will probably be a waste of effort, just try doing it consistently throughout the day then maybe you will get lucky and the file share server will be up

Halo 4 servers are awful, I'm struggling with this achievement as well

@silent trooper3 usually it takes months to fix itself, we just have to wait and see if it fixes itself before the servers get permanently shut down.

There's always some new random guy who magically manages to get it yet I've tried like 3 times everyday for a month and I keep failing over and over lol.

EDIT: Well considering the latest guy to unlock it got the achievement not connected to Xbox Live I think I know how he 'magically' unlocked it lol

Halo 4 servers seem to he completely down (including Spartan Ops and War Games), hopefully this means that they are doing service maintenance which will hopefully fix file share too

Yes, in War Games there are like just 1 or 2 players now, its pretty weird, but we can hope. I can't play Spartan Ops btw.

Saw this in the legacy forum yesterday about the maintenance team regarding the file share " I got some, they said they are working on it and for me to share to many as I can because more ppl more attention it gets, they aren't sure when it's going to get solved but at least they actually responded "

IT JUST WORKED! I WAS ABLE TO UPLOAD A FILE AND GOT THE ACHIEVEMENT! I did it from my 360, not my Xbox One, GO GO GO!

I popped it with a video and then tried again with a screenshot and it uploaded no problem. Hopefully this means they fixed the servers, however, it did fail the first try.

Oh well, i don't have Xbox Live Gold right now and this is my last achievement :(
