Halo 5: Guardians

Just tried it myself. I started a co-op mission on easy on my own. Got to the gungoose's and jumped on one. AI jumped on the back and I went round killing everything and the achievement popped.

for some reason I'm not getting any progress done on this achievement even though I have done it solo coop and with another player and nothing I don't know whats going on

Did this on solo too. Got it after 6-7 times. Worked instantly first time after I turned off all skulls (birthday grunt included), and score attack.

Still works as of 1/3/2016. I just ran to the mongoose, had the AI hop on the back and shot everything in sight with the guns on the front. There weren't enough enemies in the open area so I had to drive back up the stairs to get enough kills. Still got it in my first try, so it can still be done solo.

Got it second try, made sure I never left the mongoose *hijacks* etc.

Got it on my 5th try. Killing off the other two gives your partner time to reach the goose. Once your partner is there, make sure both are on the goose and kill as much enemies as you can. Once your team spawn, get off and kill them again. Preferably a 1 shot weapon so they die instead of go down, that way your partner will stay on the goose. Once your team is killed again, let the enemies have it. Once your other two partners spawn again, direct them away from the enemies. Don't send them up the stairs where they came from as you're more likely going to encounter a few enemies you passed up, as well as a few at the end once you get a checkpoint. Recommend saving checkpoint before doing any of this as you will most likely have to do this a couple times. I got out of the goose and still got the achievement. I don't think it's necessary to post the date which I got it since it shows below when I wrote this comment.

I've seen people posting all over that this can be done solo (and I'm sure it worked for you KAOZ) but I have NOT been able to get it yet. I tried 4 different times now and even did a hard reset on my xbox but still nothing. I realize it's easy to do it online but I'm just letting others know that it may be glitchy on "solo" coop.

The same goes for me. I have tried in the Coop Campaign (with the AI) but it never unlocked and shows no progress done in the achievement list on the side. Not sure what to do next...

It works for me solo after 5 times trying. Achi popped up shortly after.

I did this is on easy. Make sure to never get out of the mongoose once an AI hops on the back. My AI had an SMG equipped and killed a tonne of crawlers.

I've been trying to get this achievement but it wouldn't unlock. I'm fairly certain I killed 30+ enemies several times. Perhaps they patched it out?

Nevermind, got it to unlock while Solo on 4/17/2017. I recommend offing two of your AI partners with a Binary Rifle prior to starting the battle. That will buy you some time to get in kills before they join the fray.

This works as of 17 Jan 2018. A little confusing getting to the last floor. Once there you see the gun goose. I highlighted it for AI and then jumped onto the front. If you get knocked over select last checkpoint. Popped before I finished cleaning the floor. On easy difficulty. Concentrate on shooting vs driving around.

Just did this solo June 15 2018. Took a few tries to unlock. I was rushing down to the goose from the beginning of the area and it didn't unlock. Went slow the last attempt and got a checkpoint right in front of the gungoose. It unlocked on that attempt and there seemed to be a lot more enemies to kill as well.

I don't know if it helped, but the time I used commands for Buck when I was doing it solo made the achievement pop. Took a few tries but got it in solo co-op campaign.

Works better if youre the one who drives (playing solo) and even better if you kill the other 2 AI.

If anyone is still missing this achievement, I can confirm that the solo co-op method still works as of March 23rd, 2019. Choose campaign co-op (easy) and set game to invite only. When reaching the mongoose highlight it first so your computer controlled teammate will head there too. Might take a reload checkpoint or two but no real stress on this one!

Confirm it is still possible with one player only in a co-op game as of the date below - I just did it, mainly by blowing the other 2 AI off their mongoose as often as I could so they wouldn't take the kills. Took a couple of goes before it popped, re-loaded checkpoint each time to re-try.

Could not get this to work at all. Tried everything suggested to no avail. Wasted around an hour trying. Would recommend just finding a co-op partner.

Worked for me, but took me 3-4 tries. As far as I can tell, it has to be 30 kills in one session. Meaning if you restart the checkpoint, it resets back to 0 kills.

The solo method still works as of July 2023. It's not patched, it's just buggy, it took me like 5 tries before it popped. On my successful attempt I took more time than usual getting to the Gungoose and triggered an extra load zone like Brokenheaded said, but I'm not sure if that actually helps or if it was just a coincidence

Either way, at this point I think it's safe to say this won't ever get patched

What difficulty are you guys playing at? I wonder if difficulty changes the number of enemies... I haven't been able to get this after a handful of tries solo. Maybe I'm just not getting the kills quick enough.

Can confirm it still works, also, if you don't pop the achievement after you kill the knight (the last enemy) and you can reload your checkpoint and your kills will still count. For instance, I killed all enemies but didn't get 30 kills. When I cleared out the main floor I got a checkpoint right before the last 3 enemies (2 soldiers and a knight) so I killed them, no achievement, then I reloaded the checkpoint two more times to get a total of 6 more kills then the achievement popped.
