How to unlock the Off to the Races achievement in Halo 5: Guardians - Definitive Guide

Getting to Breakout matches is not listed from any of the above solutions. 343 appears to keep changing everything that ain't broke (including Halo itself).

From the main menu:
Multiplayer > Ranked > Elimination

Play 5 matches total to unlock.
Whether it's Breakout, Breakout 2.0 or Extermination these all count towards your Breakout progress for the achievement. You do not need to win the matches to unlock this.

Hi all I'm looking to try and wrap up the last few multiplayer achievements for Halo 5 but the lobbies are dead for all but Ranked Slayer in the evenings and Warzone. I only need to do Castle Crasher, Off to the Races and Flag Monger.

Obviously I'm willing to help anyone else needing to wrap up some as well. I can also potentially use my kids Xboxes to add an extra 2 players.

You just have to play 5 matches, you don‘t have to win them. So it doesn‘t matter if you get your ass kicked regarding the achievements.

Just a heads up...back when I got this in Feb, I found that it's pretty easy to find people Fri/Sat when more people are gaming in general. I was able to knock it out and didn't have to use a boost session (that not enough people joined anyway.)

At this time the only reasonable way to get this achievement is to go in with 8 players in two teams of 4 otherwise it's virtually dead. Funny that this achievement either takes 15 minutes of boosting or never happens.

Seems to be Last Call for multiplayer achievements on Halo 5.
Most lobbies are dead. Especially Ranked Elimination.

To earn this achievement, you need to go to the "Ranked" section under "Multiplayer." Once this is done, find & select "Breakout." Here's how Breakout works:

Two teams of 4 players fight against each other, with each player having only 1 life every round.

To win rounds, players must either eliminate the enemy team or successfully deliver the flag to their stand.

In various parts of the map, there are spare weapons that can give you an advantage.

The first team to win 5 rounds is victorious.

The best part about this achievement is you do not need to win 5 games of it. Wins or losses still contribute towards your progress.

After you complete 5 games of Breakout, the achievement will unlock.

In Arena Multiplayer, Breakout matches can be found within the Team Arena playlist or through the dedicated Breakout playlist. In this game mode, two teams of four will begin the match with limited gear, no shields, and no lives on small, tight maps. The first team to eliminate all four players on the opposing side, or capture the neutral flag, will win the round. Each match is a best-of-nine, meaning whichever team wins five rounds first will win the overall match.

This achievement will unlock once you’ve completed five full games of Breakout, win or lose.
