Has to be done on "The Silent Cartographer":

No Marine Casualties means NONE of the marines can die... reminds me of the achievement in Crysis 2 where you have to make sure those marines are safe and won't die from the aliens as well.

This video will help if your playing single player, I suggest doing the lowest difficulty setting you can which is Heroic. Now you can do co-op which would be easier. Legendary takes a few more shots to kill things speically Elites. The grenade throwing is a good tip but sometimes you can kill marines that way. In this you always wanna stay ahead of the marines!!

===Hint===

Activate both the Boom Skull and the Grunt Funeral Skull.

Start "The Silent Cartographer" on Heroic and try to exploit the following facts:

1 - Grunts explode upon death.
2 - Explosions have a larger impact radius.
3 - Explosions can propel grunts in a certain direction.

===Solution===

I recommend Heroic, with the Boom Skull active and Grunt Funeral if you have it.

Immediately strafe to the right to cover your fellow marines from the second Pelican, while aiming at the two/three grunts to your left. Kill any of the grunts (with the pistol) there and it will take his companions out in the resulting explosion.

Now throw a grenade to the group you are running at, preferably to the front line because this will propel any dying grunts in the vicinity away from the marines, one or two elites will probably die thanks to the amount of explosions around them (thanks Boom Skull!) but make sure to drop them with your pistol.

The first area should now be clear, but try to stay in front of the marines while running forward, throw your remaining grenades towards the elites and jackals, the combined explosions should take out any remaining enemies.

After that, the achievement should unlock.

When you land on the beach, run and lob grenades at the grunts asap before they get a chance to throw their grenades at your troops. While your doing this, shoot all the elites. I got the achievement first time this way.

Ok, I know this is gonna sound "weird" but this is exactly what I did.

Heroic.

Grunt funeral skull on.

Bandana skull on.

Boom skull on.

Land on the beach, lob grenades, and basically just go all "Master Chief" on the Covenant. Pistol shot the grunts. Get them down quickly and they will take care of most of the rest.

I'll provide you with some useful tips to unlocking this Achievement:

Make sure to play on the lowest difficulty possible for this Achievement, which is Heroic. The second you exit the Pelican, quickly switch to your Pistol.
Next, throw a Grenade at the rock in front of you to kill the two Grunts hiding behind it. Next, quickly shoot the grunts to your RIGHT (Near the Marines) in the head. **I would not recommend throwing a grenade at the Grunts to your right because you may kill a Marine.** Once you've done that, you'll have to kill 2 Blue Elites.

For the first Elite, I recommend putting an entire Pistol Clip into him, and then finish him off with your Assault Rifle. For the second Blue Elite, simply throw a Grenade or two, and then finish him off with your Assault Rifle or Pistol.

After the first two Elites have been killed, you'll have to kill 2 Jackels, 1 Red Elite, and 1 Blue Elite. I recommend throwing all the Grenades you have at the remaining Elites. For the Jackels, it's easier to Headshot them with your Pistol. But Grenades work too. After they've been killed, your Achievement will unlock. I hope these tips help =)
