How to unlock the Tsantsa achievement in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary - Definitive Guide

Did this using Famine, Grunt Birthday Party and Bandanna. Did this also going for He's Unstoppable!.

Famine gives less ammo and bandanna gives unlimited ammo so it made sense and grunt birthday party is simply for fun, no minuses while playing making it easier.

Best skull combination choice by far. Bigger explosions can be more entertaining, but will only end up killing you chances of stacking this with other achievements. I just ran through the Silent Cartographer on heroic, with no marine casualties, without taking health damage and without firing a shot, with these three skulls on on heroic for a total of 4 achievements.

Isn't it worth pointing out that Grunt Birthday Party was a pre-order skull? If you bought this second hand, you wouldn't have it.

'Grunt Funeral' is the pre-order bonus skull. 'Grunt Birthday Party' is a standard skull like all the others.

Rskutins is correct and tbh you could use any other skull, but its the fact that bandanna gives infinite ammo and famine give dropped guns less ammo 2 key skulls.

hasn't this been patched?

Danny: what's to patch? It says to play with three skulls active. I personally did it with Bandanna, Famine, and Recession on Library, but only because I'm just playing through the campaign and don't have Grunt Birthday Party yet - it's the last skull. Figured it would be easy to pop as I just play through the levels rather than go back after getting that last skull. Still, if you have these three, they are definitely the combo.

You could combine another combination to get multiple achievements. If you put on these three skulls, play Pillar of Autumn on Legendary with two controllers, you can run through the entire thing with your other controller and unlock all of the "don't pick up X" achievements for the Pillar of Autumn, along with Tsantsa, along with the three achievements for completing a level cooperatively on normal, heroic and legendary. That's about six or seven achievements from one level.

Did it the hard way… iron, boom and famine. And boot up the first lvl on heroic. Just grenade spam everything and keep youre distance. Its pretty easy when you know where the scripted explosions come from. Just remember those are double blast radius aswell! For the people why i added iron i had 4 skulls unlocked back then. And the choice was between iron or mythic… this method is pretty easy just keep youre distance because chain reactions!

I was playing Legendary with a friend, and the easist method by far, is by using:

Bandanna - Infinite Ammo
Grunt Funeral (Available with game pre-order) - Grunts Explode Like Plasma Grenades
Boom - Double Blast Radius.

All skulls are positive if you think about it and even make things easier for you.

That's what I said, the blast radius is doubled, any and all =]

'all skulls are positive'?....Iron or Mythic do not make things easier for you.

You might want to mention that the Grunt Funeral Skull was only available for those Day One or pre-order purchasers. You cannot get that skull these days unless you purchase the DLC code on eBay. -1

The most efficient way to gain this achievement is on the level "The Pillar of Autumn" on Legendary difficulty (To gain the other achievements if you haven't already)

Skulls used:
1) Bandana (Infinite ammo)
2) Boom ( 2x explosive damage/radius)
3) Famine (Less ammo dropped by enemies) - Cancelled out due to Bandana.

While going for this on Legendary you should refrain from picking up
Overshields and Health Packs so that you may simultaneously achieve these as well:
Halo: Combat Evolved AnniversaryOvershields are for SissiesReborn InsanityThe Overshields are for Sissies achievement in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary worth 16 pointsComplete the level “Pillar of Autumn” on Legendary without picking up an Overshield.

Halo: Combat Evolved AnniversaryWalk it OffReborn InsanityThe Walk it Off achievement in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary worth 44 pointsComplete the level “Pillar of Autumn” on Legendary without picking up a health kit.

I used Grunt Birthday Party, Bandanna, and Pinata. Pinata just makes enemies drop grenades when you melee them ... dunno why no one includes it in these solutions, since it's a "positive" skull laugh

Great tip on level suggestion! Something the guides at the top of the list failed to do. Thumbs up for the tie in to other achievements too!

if you were lucky enough to get he grunt funeral skull like i was(got a pre-owned copy with codes still inside) then use these skulls, as 3 is not the maximum skulls we can activate.
Use:
1)Bandana (Infinite ammo)
2)Boom ( 2x explosive damage/radius)
3)Famine (Less ammo dropped by enemies)
4)Grunt Funeral (Grunts Explode Like Plasma Grenades)
5)Grunt Birthday Party(Kill a grunt with a headshot and see a spray of confetti)

Next choose Pillar of Autumn as your mission then just chuck grenades around every corner until you don't see any movement on the radar or hear sound of any kind anymore. Then carefully go around every corner to be safe and just keep up the grenades until you get to the end of the level.
one warning though. Never throw a grenade at a grunt in an open space when they are in front of you, as they will almost always get projected towards you and blow up while you are in the radius.

a more rare sight to see(common on my end) is the grunt killing you from flying into your body, but not by blowing up.
another rare sight that is fun to see is the grunt's methane tank flying off and hitting you in the face and killing you.

Did it on Pillar of Autumn with Famine, Boom and Grunt Funeral. I also did it on Legendary to get walk it off and overshields are for sissies.

I did this on Pillar of Autumn using Boom, Mythic, and Grunt Funeral. I also did the level on Legendary to get the Walk It Off achivement

I turned on the Boom, Bandana, and Famine skulls. Famine and Bandana cancel each other out and I just like grenade spamming with Boom turned on.

This will be familiar to anybody that’s used the skulls in the past Halo titles. My personal suggestion is Bandana, Grunt Birthday Party and Boom on 343 Guilty Spark. GBP will be useless most of the level and Bandana mixed with Boom makes grenades plentiful for large groups of flood. This level is relatively short, so it shouldn't take too long to plow through. If you're brave enough, you can attempt this achievement as early as Level 3 as you'll have picked up the skull from PoA and 2 skulls from Halo.
