You can throw a grenade an pick the skull up if the grenade kills an enemy it counts towards the achievement as long as your holding the skull

I got 3 in a single round and still didnt get the achievement. Also having issues with 2 others(party bus and secure 5 zones)

I just can't seem to find a single Oddball game when going to bot camp. I've done 11 matches and they've all been repeats of Slayer, Stronghold, and CTF.

Would be a lot easier if it was a 1 hit kill instead of 2 hits.

It's really dumb that it's not 1 hit kill anymore. It was always a 1 hit kill.

PATCHED??? I cant get this to work with bots. Am I just completely stupid and dont know how to set the game up? Or did the update from today patch this??

I just unlocked it versus bots across two rounds with a death in between.

Would recommend camping in the tower-esque structure in Live Fire to get this done. The faster melee of the Oddball means that you’ll be able to kill them in a 1v1 unless if the enemy has an Overshield (and if you try to do this in Bot Bootcamp, they probably won’t).

Still works in Bot Bootcamp. Just unlocked it.

I'm confused got several cheevos in bootcamp matches but not unlocked...it is bootcamp match and 4vs4 you plus 3 AI onto 4 Bots but still not unlocked cheevos.

popped today in quick play. got 1 kill then died, then got 2 more. Same round. Popped immediately.

There's nothing to be patched. It's fully intended to unlock these in Bot Cootcamp.

Either its patched, glitched or there is some trick to it because i just played 6 matches in bot bootcamp under different rule settings and its not unlocking at all

A lot of people are saying they're changing "rule settings" which makes me think they're trying it in custom games instead of marchmaking. It unlocked my first match in game.

Look it clearly works in both match made games and bootcamp but not custom so if people could stop spouting crap about it not working when it does that would be great

Anyone know if the update for today changed this? This and the crf one didn’t unlock for me in bot boot camp after several games.

The description is pretty clear in what it means? How did you read it and think it meant kill the ball carrier?

Easily Kantarya? It says "kill three people with the ball". People could easily mistake that for killing people that have the ball.

I didn't interpret it that way, but it's pretty easy to see how someone would 🤷🏿

Still unlocks in bot bootcamp. Just did it all in one round. You can literally run straight at the ai to hit them and they barely shoot you lol

Anyone wanna geta few peeps together n farm this one? This an shock rifle cheevo are only ones im having trouble with now.

Is there a step by step guide on how to set this up. I’ve tried and done it, but no pop!

Pretty easy legit since very few players objective. Just have to be good enough to constantly nab the ball and get kills.

Get in close if possible (around corners, halls doorways), that will usually result in a fist fight, and since you melee faster with the ball, you SHOULD win. Granted a 'nade might kill you after, but a kill is a kill.

I don't think bot bootcamp counts any more. I got 5 and nothing.

@DoomScott - I did it two nights ago in Bot Bootcamp without issue. Hardest part was waiting for an Oddball match to show up, and then hoping I could grab the ball before one of my random teammates got it.

Double kills only appear to count as a single kill. Got 2 double kills holding the ball but count at end only shows shows 2 Kills As Carrier

Huh well I'll try it again. I think it might have been an issue with double kills.

I have gotten at least 3 kills as the ball carrier in bot bootcamp 5 times, and no achievment. Anyone got the same issue?

Sadly doesn't look like you can complete it in customs vs bots either. tried running a custom with a +200% to melee damage and no achievement

They have a mode called vampire ball in rumble pit. Makes it one hit kill and buffs you when you hold the ball.

Yeah, hopefully soon. It's the only one I have left. Oddball is in Halo refuelled 3 at the moment. I got 2 Kills in one match but couldn't get another one. I really need help with this. It's easier in a team than with randoms who just get in the way.

I can confirm that you can get this over multiple rounds of Oddball.

I played Bot Bootcamp and got two kills with the ball in Round 1 and another kill in Round 2 and still got the achievement.

THIS IS WHAT I DID: I just got 4 kills (carrier stopped) and end score card said 4 carrier kills, and it was in a RANKED multiplayer match against other human players and I DID NOT GET THE ACHIEVO (10 dec 2021).

BUT: i misinterpreted their achiveo description WHICH CAN BE INTERPRETED 2 DIFFERENT WAYS.

I thought the achievo description was "kill 3 players that are holding the ball" ...whereas here it seems to be "whilst YOU are holding the ball, punch kill 3 players".

Why why why, Delilah, must they write an achievo description with 2 meanings? FOOLS.

Not too tough because bots are as likely to attack other teammates as they are the ball carrier. I think I back smacked 2 if not all 3 with the skull while they were focused on other targets.

On the Live Fire map, the best place to hide is at the top of the tower. I spam hit the bots with the skull at the corner when they get to the top of the stairs and have killed 4+ of them that way over the course of two rounds.

There is no boosting this with 2 teams of 4, because you just don't get matched up together (MAYBE if you play really early in the morning you may have a chance). But even if you find each other you have to hope that you get the correct game mode.

HOWEVER, this achievement is actually pretty easy if you have a team with you that communicates. Set up a session for 4 people and just go for it. If your team sticks together and has the ball the enemies will have to come to you... and whack! That's when you git'em.

Best playlist by far atm is Elevation 24/7. You have a 25% chance of getting the Oddball mode. And the spawning location of the ball is pretty good for melee kills.
