EDIT: Thanks to gazhibs for confirming that a 3rd player also earns progress towards the achievement even when outside the Mongoose.

Although the description doesn't explicitly say, progress is shared for both the driver and passenger. My friend was driving while I got kills and it popped at the same time for us. Progress is also shared for Cow Catcher (and possibly Air Raid), though I'm not sure if splatters with a Mongoose would count towards both achievements. K3lviN confirms that 50 splatters in a mongoose does not unlock this achievement.

It can be done on any difficulty but Easy is... easiest . Bandana is optional but obviously helps. If you're playing on a fresh save, the Mongoose is unlocked once you've captured FOB Golf, right after completing Outpost Tremonius. I found the AR worked better as precision weapons were harder to use while moving, but use what ever works best for you. My friend tried to use the Tank Gun/Pocket Scorpion but he said he couldn't move his camera more than 20 degrees while in the mongoose, so that may not the best option.
