How to unlock the Headmaster achievement in Halo Infinite - Definitive Guide
After having just started this, I want to share some tips that will make this much less stressful and more a test of patience than skill. For prep, make sure you’ve collected every skull in another playthrough. Once done, start a new playthrough activating them all.
Now the good news, no Iron skull in this game, and the even better news, Bandana is in this game. That means infinite ammo, grenades and equipment usage with no recharge. Spam your equipment as much as possible. I highly, highly recommend the Energy Sword and Grappleshot combo spam as this can force recharge your shield and make some bosses a joke to deal with.
More importantly than anything, grab the Scorpion gun before you leave the first outpost. This weapon has 2 shot kill potential on every basic enemy, decimates vehicles and deals no splash damage. It can be found on the left barrel of the AA turret on top of the crashed ship near where you leave the Outpost. You’ll be able to tell you’ve picked it up because you drop your current weapon. Keep this the entire game, use an Energy Sword Grapple to recharge when you need it and cheese the unlimited Grapple and Threat Sensors as much as you need. Disruptor nades are very helpful too.
Using these weapons and utilising these combos should make every part of the game doable, but if I come across any particularly troublesome parts I’ll make sure to provide some more tips here, GL to everyone.
EDIT: Just finished up, Bandana is required. This isn’t too bad, main things to mention are you cannot as is in other games get a checkpoint when you don’t have full shield, so always hit your last enemy with the sword to bait a checkpoint. Just keep your distance, if you struggle with Blind, the Grappleshot yellow reticule is very handy for lining up shots. I even managed the achievement for completing all missions in under 8 hours so an optimal playthrough us Easy mode to get all collectibles, then LASO 8 hours.

I started my playthrough after May 1st and before the reverted update with the tank gun. I took about a month to go through LASO and just found out I didn't get it. I have all 12 skulls on and only "loaded" games through my playthrough. I have shut down my game and Xbox with nothing popping up still. I'm not sure where to go from here. My progress is at 0% for the achivement which leaves me no hope reading past comments. I'm assuming a lot of other people are on the same page around this time period. Anyone have suggestions?
If you’ve got a PC, downpatch the game. If you don’t, have fun waiting 3+ months for 343i to fix it.

Just wanted to leave a few tips if anyone reads this doing LASO. Just finished it today and can say the only parts that were a struggle, was the level The Sequence. When going to those 4 Spires to collect intel, after you've killed all the enemies, I ran into a problem where I couldn't get into any of them. The Weapon would say I couldn't, but it would save someone a headache to know that instead of looking around for enemies that aren't there, just go outside the mission area and then back in. You should get an audio que that says the area is cleared.
Only other problem I ran into was the battle with Escharum, as soon as the battle started all I could do was grapple. No shooting, no grenades, nothing but I simply just restarted my game and it fixed it.
Last thing I will say, I switched from Xbox to PC and back to Xbox. This DID NOT VOID THE ACHIEVEMENT! Happy hunting everyone. (:

Finished it earlier today, actually isn't too bad. Here is my overview:
(tl;dr at the end)
Requirements:
Collect every skull
Start a new legendary run with all skulls (including bandana) active.
'Continuing' may turn off skulls, so always 'Load' your LASO save.
The first few levels up until you can get the scorpion gun are the hardest parts of the entire run. At the very start I recommend getting a plasma pistol and any weapon that can give headshots, a BR can be found in the starting room in a dumpster if you dont want to use the pistol. When you encounter a brute with a rocket launcher for the first time you will want to swap out your plasma pistol for it, I think its much more useful and can get enemies without direct line of sight. This should get you all the way up to the boss fight with Tremonius in mission 2.
For the Tremonius boss fight I lured him into the lower area and spammed grenades at him through the small entry hallways. this keeps him from being able to push on you and will eventually kill him. If he makes it past your grenades, just run to the other ramp leading down and do it again.
After beating Tremonius and making it to his outpost you'll want to go directly for the scorpion gun, this gun makes it absurdly easy (relatively speaking) to beat this game on LASO. I used it exclusively from this point on. Here's a link on how to get it: https://www.windowscentral.com/halo-infinite-how-get-scorpio...
In most cases you will have to jump to be able to fire the gun at something, or else it will most likely just blow up immediately. Luckily this gun cannot make you kill yourself, so its fine if this happens or if you use it right next to an enemy. The scorpion gun also does not allow you to melee or clamber, so carrying either a sword or rocket launcher as your secondary is your best bet, I opted for the rockets just in case an enemy started firing on me as I was going for a melee.
From here on out I played every fight that I could from a distance, sniping every enemy I could possibly see with the scorpion gun and not moving in until everything was killed (as far as I could tell). I recommend leaving leave one grunt, jackal, or skirmisher alive at the end of each fight to melee for your shields back, otherwise you may not get any checkpoints and end up reverting back quite far. This game doesn't care if you beat a boss or finished a level, it will send you right back to when you were last safe with full health. I also used the threat sensor a lot, this helps make sure you dont leave any stragglers that will kill you.
Also a word of caution, if you are outdoors fighting things and your objective requires you to clear out an area of enemies, the enemies must actually be killed for the mission to continue. The two most notable areas for this are when
Because of cowbell and the scorpion gun combo, enemies will fly away at the speed of sound, and sometimes they will still be alive. If they fly too far away they will despawn and not actually count as a kill to finish the objective. If you notice this happen (and it will happen) I recommend going back to your last checkpoint if possible. If you get a checkpoint after this happens to you, run a couple hundred meters from the objective then come back, everything will respawn and you can try again.
If the blind skull is making it very difficult you can get an idea of where its at by pointing at something close while the grapple is equipped. If you want a full-time solution put a small piece of painters tape or something right over the reticle, or use strings to mark out its location. I fought from a long enough distance that multiple tries to kill an enemy was fine 99% of the time, so I didn't bother.
I think that's everything there is to beating this game on LASO, it isn't too bad after the beginning as long as you are patient, I may add a video to this post down the road explaining this stuff a bit better.
tl;dr:
1)Up through Tremonius is the hardest part of the run, push through it and you'll be fine.
2)Get the Scorpion gun right after you beat Tremonius, use this for everything. (how-to link above)
3)Keep your distance and try to end every fight with full shields using a spared grunt/jackal/skirmisher
4)If a 'clear area of enemies' objective is stuck, revert checkpoint or run a couple hundred meters away and try again.

As hilarious as it is to see the enemies fly away from explosions, it is annoying how that prevents certain objectives from being completed, as Arcturus mentioned. However, I have found that you do not need to reset back to a previous checkpoint and try again. Instead, just wander away from the mission area, even until reach another mission area or FOB, but don't get too far away. Now return back to the mission you were trying to complete, and The Weapon will say the area is all clear and the mission will automatically be completed. This is different then what Arcturus suggested, as what he recommended was running so far away that the mission resets and all the enemies respawn. What I'm saying is that there's some smaller distance that you can run away, and then run back. The mission state will be preserved, except that the enemies that flew far away without actually dying will now be considered dead by the game, and you will be able to record a mission success.
I have found this works just fine with FOBs and marine rescue missions.

The part with 2 hunters you have to kill I shot one hunter and he went flying across the map lmao. Had to chase him down.

Im posting 2 skips i found during the 2nd level Foundation, i hope this will make your run a little bit easier.
Note that the skips will not mess with load zones or halt level progress.

If you are focused on getting LASO and the speed run in under eight hours achievement - this guide is for you.
Collect All The Skulls
Firstly, you will need to play through the game once and gather all the skulls. I would highly suggest playing through on easy/normal, enjoy the story and gather all the collectibles (most importantly the skulls!) in the game before focusing on these achievements.
For all the collectibles that are missable:
For all the collectibles that can be achieved at any time:
https://mapgenie.io/halo-infinite/maps/zeta-halo
Any collectibles collected will carry over to your next playthrough. If you miss any collectibles, you will need to replay the campaign from the beginning and make your way to the designated mission.
LASO and Speed Run Guide
Once you have played through the game once and collected all the skulls, you will need to start a new game on legendary with all 12 skulls enabled. If you decide to quit your game during the run, make sure you load your game instead of pressing continue. This will ensure your campaign progress is retained.
If you want to get this achievement in the fastest time possible, I would highly suggest using the video guide provided below. I was able to beat the LASO campaign with 2:30:00 on my save profile - which is almost six hours under the eight-hour time limit! Be aware, this video guide involves glitches and skips!
While this guide is great, there are a few alternatives/tips from my experience that will make this a lot easier for you:
00:00 - 21:40 - I didn't use the guide up until 21:40. However, I would highly suggest following along. You will probably finish your LASO run much faster than I did.
36:15 - You can opt to search for spartan cores around the map. You have plenty of time to look for them so don't feel pressured. If you want to make your run slightly easier, I would try getting additional spartan cores to upgrade your shields. Just make sure your able to get the fourth upgrade for the grapple. Don't worry about any of the other upgrades.
40:13 - Super easy and reliable to do this method for the road skip - just takes a little more time. I would suggest doing this than the method at 37:39.
43:27 - You don't need to do this glitch. You can just as easily get through these rooms with a little bit of patience. Use the left entrance ramp as cover in both the basic and advanced training room.
49:20 - You can stay up on the hexagon pillar and shoot at the enemies from afar. Its relatively safe. Just make sure to kill any enemies underneath you so they can't throw grenades at you.
51:45 - You don't need to grapple around the room and shoot the hunters. You can sit behind the large glass wall in the room. Focus fire on one of them, then work on killing the other hunter.
52:50 - You can take your time and take out the enemies in the room then melee the grunts at the end to get a checkpoint. There's no need to try to skip it.
53:15 - You don't have to grapple across these rooms. You can take out the enemies in both these rooms. Won't take you long.
1:08:35 - I was unable to enter the northwest beacon after clearing out all the enemies due to a glitch that happened multiple times. Don't worry, if you cleared out the area and you can't activate the door to the beacon. You will have to leave the area and respawn the enemies. You will have to clear out the area again until it works.
Your eight-hour speed run achievement will unlock after you finish the Silent Auditorium level. The LASO achievement will unlock for you after you complete the Sequence mission.
I will update this guide if changes are made to the campaign in the future. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to comment down below. Godspeed Spartan!

Here is how I beat Tremonius on LASO EASILY.
I only use the energy sword for melee attacks. If you don’t have an energy sword, don’t worry, pick up a mangler for melee.
(In LASO difficulty, almost every elite will drop an energy sword. At the beginning of the second level, there will be a single elite facing you.)
At first, use the hook to run away, and then follow the video to escape to a long distance (this is very important, otherwise the boss and the jackal will appear at the same time). Then kill the jackals to restore the shield, and then wait for the boss to rush over, and then stabbed to death with the energy sword.
Very simple, right?

Just finished this in under 8h (yes, unlocked the other achievement at the same time).
It's way easier than the other Halos mainly because of missing Ironman, allowing you to get checkpoints through the entirety of the campaign. (I only really have Halo CE Co-Op to compare but I imagine the other Halos are similar)
OVERALL TIPPS AND TRICKS
Weapons
Get the OP weapons as soon as possible, namely the glitched Scorpion gun and an Energy Sword. An Energy Sword can be obtained from the very first Elite that you kill since they all have Energy Swords. The glitched Scorpion gun can be obtained as soon as you enter the Overworld for the first time and only the first time you're in that area securing the first FOB. Make sure you really get it and never lose it.
Your alternative until you have them are a Rocket Launcher which can be obtained really early on, I believe when reaching the very first elevator. Those Brutes will have Rocket Launchers.
Another alternative is Shock Grenades. Just spam the heck out of them until you manage to obtain the OP weapons. They will stun enemies and easily take care of them over a period of them. Simply keep your distance and toss them around.
Checkpoints
Important: You can only get checkpoints when your shields are full and you won't see when you get checkpoints. Therefore it's recommended to keep at least a single enemy alive in every encounter and kill that one with the sword to replenish the shield, making sure you're able to get checkpoints.
If not, the game can revert you back over multiple chapters if you die (yes, across chapters).
Energy Sword
The Energy Sword is perfect to regain your shields via most enemy types (yes, even Brutes and Elites). Pull yourself to an enemy with the Grapple Shot and slap them with the Sword. Enemy not dead yet? Switch to the Scorpion Gun and blow them up. The best strategy is that you keep a few enemies (preferably just one) alive in each and every encounter so you can replenish your shields with them in order to keep getting Checkpoints.
Scorpion Gun
The Scorpion Gun is your best friend for everything. It one-shots pretty much everything and is even a sniper. The best thing is, you can't blow yourselves up with it, it doesn't damage yourself.
The gun can be obtained the first time you get to the overworld and secure the first FOB. Make sure you'll get it and you keep it.
If you're grappling your way through the missions or overworld, I recommend to switch to the Energy Sword while doing that. Otherwise you risk grappling another weapon accidentally which will trade your Scorpion Gun away and hence become unobtainable. In case it still happens, simply end the game and load your save again.
Here's a video of how to obtain the Scorpion Gun:
Grenades
The only grenade that you really need is the Shock Grenade. For the start of the mission and occasionally against bosses to stun them. All other grenades are too weak to have their usage.
Equipments
The only equipments you require are the Grapple Shot and the Threat Sensor. I recommend upgrading the Grapple Shot with all the spartan cores that you find. It will upgrade it to stun the enemy you're about to grapple. The Threat Sensor comes in handy for most missions so that you know where the enemies are. It's recommended to get at least the upgrade so that you can deploy two Threat Sensors at the same time. It also helps to know where the invisible bosses are. Just keep spamming the Threat Sensor.
The other equipments don't work properly when using the Scorpion Gun and they're not useful enough to begin with anyways.
Securing FOBs and other mission requirements in the overworld
I always recommend to find a more or less direct way to the missions and ignore most of the other things, you don't need them (an exception is a few spartan cores). In the overworld, pretty much any mission requires you to clear out the entire area, meaning you have to actually kill every enemy. Due to the nature of a few skulls increasing the explosion effects, enemies are blown away out of bounds occasionally. Hence softlocking the completion. You can workaround this by finding a nearby side-objective of sorts (just a group of enemies that's far away enough from the actual objective but not too far away) and clearing them out. It'll automatically clear the mission area (usually confirmed by the Weapon confirming that all enemies are dead). You can then return to the mission objective.
If that still didn't work, just suicide or fast travel away and try again.
Bosses
Pretty much any boss can easily be killed with a few Scorpion Gun shots. Sometimes even one-shot if you're fast enough. The alternative if you're struggling is tossing Shock Grenades and keep grappling and meleeing with the sword. These two variants always worked for me to take out the bosses easily.
Continueing/loading the campaign
Never use the "Continue" feature. It can disable the skulls. Use the "Load" feature in the menu.
If you're not getting past a section, you can refer to the video below. It's the entirety of my LASO run. It also includes the two skips that xsv posted in his solution.

Never use the "Continue" feature. It can disable the skulls. Use the "Load" feature in the menu.
If you're not getting past a section, you can refer to the video below. It's the entirety of my LASO run. It also includes the two skips that xsv posted in his solution.
My tips and tricks I used for LASO. I actually had more fun playing laso than i did normal legendary, and i actually completed it a lot quicker.
Get the scorpion gun. Im sure you know where it is already, but if not there are other people here who have linked to a video on where it is.
Make sure to jump when using the scorpion cannon, or use it on downwards angle terrain or if youre shooting up. The cannon shoots out below your feet and you will often times just shoot the floor.
Use the grapple indicator as a make shift reticle. If you have some clear tape, draw a dot on it and put it over the grapple reticle. Voila, you now have a reticle.
Upgrade your thruster to max. The camo and unlimited use of equipment comes in really handy with sneaking behind enemies or skimming behind them for a back crack with the sword.
Make sure to carry a sword as your accompanying weapon to the scorpion gun. This, doubled with unlimited thrusters, lets you dance around enemies.
If you use the thruster with the scorpion gun equipped you will be stuck in crouch unable to sprint. Switch back to your other weapon, jump and thrust and you should be good to go.
You will often wonder why your cleared area isnt coming up as cleared. Move out the area, wait for the weapon to say its clear, then come back. The boom skull may send some enemies into orbit or to the side and they get stuck there until they come into the players render view, to which they then die. I found this most annoying clearing some fobs or the communication towers.
For an easy skip on Nexus, when you are about to ride the gondola do not activate it. Just use the walls and pillars aorund the side of the room. You do not have to fight any sentinels, and the middle gate will open. You can jump the gap for the power seed with the grapple easily. It made doing this section no stress at all.
You can run around the edges on The Road, and some enemies will spawn in using drop pods. This is much easier than facing all the others, and i actually did this in under 3 minutes probably.
Most hallways can be skipped or zoomed past using the thruster and grapple. Dont even engage with the enemies at all.
Just shoot stuff from afar using the scorpion gun, leave maybe 1 or two enemies to wack with the sword and youre golden.
TREMONIUS
For Tremonius, I lead him down the side and spammed electric nades at him. If he got close I ran to the other side and did the same.
CHAK'LOK
For Chak'lok, i stood ontop of a door frame lobbing nades and using the scorpion tank gun to shoot him when he got hit by a dynamo nade.
BASSUS
You can hide ontop of a doorway and shoot him from there. Easy Cheese.
You can also skip the Bassus boss fight, and the turning off of the laser. Simply get to the part where you look down the cave and the mining laser is activated, quit and load the save then jump in from the top. You will be shot down the hole and potentially have some form of god mode for a checkpoint or next loading zone. This is a bit iffy tho because it does wear off on its own and you wont know, mine wore off immediatelty, it just launched me down the bottom without fighting Bassus.
TOVARUS AND HYPERIUS
Tovarus and Hyperius were absolutely nothing. Infact, the skulls literally made it so they launched out of the map when shot with the scorpion gun into a death zone and it was over pretty much as soon as it started. Just shoot from afar, and clean up enemies where you can.
ADJUSTANT RESOLUTION
Both Adjustant resolutions were very easy. Just scorpion gun the middle and often times, all 4 of his side lasers will just blow up at once, leaving his last phase of just beaming you. Shoot him between beams.
JEGA 'RDOMNAI
Jega 'Rdomnai was another easy boss too. Similar to Chak'lok, find a corner and spam dynamo nades in every direction. He will spawn out of his hiding phase, get caught by the dynamos and freeze up. Hit him with the scorpion cannon when like this. Rinse and repeat. I actually done this way riskier and used a fully upgraded thruster and spammed it in circles around him whilst he was electrocuted, hitting him with an energy sword. This also solidified my full shields for the much needed checkpoint before the Escharum fight.
ESCHARUM
Escharum had to be the easiest, but most annoying fight. Instantly dodge out of his way with the thrusters, and dynamo nade the crap out of him. If you can peek and get a shot with the scorpion cannon, do so. I did this without the scorpion cannon just using nade damage.
To get shields back, hit him when he is running to get his overshield and dash back. They replenish then, and he wont attack (or rarely will).
When he enters grav hammer phase, thruster while backpedaling and throw dyn nades. If you can gain enough distance between you and him to switch to your scorpion gun and shoot him, do so but make sure you re equip your other weapon to throw nades.
HARBINGER
The harbinger was actually very pleasant. Make sure to cleanup the enemies quickly, the chieftan was literally nothing in this fight. I found two shots of the scorpion cannon and finishing off each phase with a melee ensures you get the checkpoints needed to progress more.
Good luck spartans!

Just wanted to share how I skipped the mission The Road (mission 13) almost entirely.
Note that you have to be careful killing the first batch of enemies because if you shoot the scorpion gun at the warthog you will shoot it a million miles away.
Edit: According to user yelowjackets you have to land outside the walls of the final area, otherwise the mission can bug out and need a restart. I would test this myself, but without mission select I'll just take yelowjackets's word on it.

At this time we are unaware if having a previous save beyond the Road Skip is unlocking the achievement after doing lvl9s Beacons post game. Many claim it doesnt.

MAP for Spartan Cores
- https://mapgenie.io/halo-infinite/maps/zeta-halo
(Left > Hide All > scroll down > Spartan Cores > check off ones you grab
+ There's NO Iron Skull - Level will not restart when you die, only go back to a checkpoint
- Checkpoint RNG - Only get a Checkpoint if have FULL Shield & no enemies around. May get sent back many rooms or even to prior level!
- Black Eye Skull - Only get Shield back by Meleeing an enemy
- Blind Skull - can't see if have Full shield as you have No HUD. No aiming reticle
+ Bandana Skull - Infinite Ammo, Grenades & NO Equipment cooldowns !!
+ Scorpion Gun - own personal Tank gun. Remember you have infinite ammo. Melts most enemies in 2 shots. Boss's in 6.
+ Shock grenades - Freeze/Stun every enemy in place & Strip their shields. Infinite grenade spam.
+ SKIPS - easy skips (unlike MCC) avoiding 80% of the game
---------- Gameplay RECOMMENDATIONS ----------
---------- Possible ISSUES ----------
- LASO progress stopped -
I never had this issue & used "Continue" lots,
but MANY people have said always use "LOAD game" & load your Legendary LASO run instead
- Loosing Scorpion Gun -
Do NOT drop it - never HOLD Y - it drops your held weapon.
NEVER grapple another weapon - it swaps currently held.
You cannot re-pickup an invisible easter egg.
You will loose gun permanently.
You cannot travel/teleport to the original base & re-pickup from the turret, it won't be there.
= Kill self with grenades immediately if you do.
- Disruptor Grunts -
Strips your shields & can do damage over time.
Can stop / cancel shield regen even when meleeing
- Cannot throw grenades -
Most likely currently holding the Scorpion Gun.
You cannot throw grenades whilst holding it.
= Switch to your Secondary weapon
- Explosions at my feet! Tank bullets do nothing! -
= Need to JUMP every time you fire, for most levels
- Not being able to claim Outpost / Beacons / FOB -
Can clear an area and still not be allowed to activate switch, saying enemies still present when there are none. Elites/Brutes may not die & get flung miles away from Scorpion Gun explosions.
= Some times can run around the cleared area, touching sections of the map can initialise a check to show area is clear. Other times I ran away till music stopped, then came back, sometime would hear Cortana say was Clear & could use the switch. Sometimes had to do both of the above.
Once it just wouldn't give me the clear message, so had to spawn at a FOB or drive away from area to respawn everything and try again. There's no permanent glitch, always a way to reset.
- Sword Boss -JEGA 'RDOMNAI - Spartan killer - Didn't Spawn.
Checkpoints not met
= restarted the level, very quickly got back to where I was within 1min using the SKIP using the grapple above the doors. Followed the SpeedRun more closely, to walk on the markers to trigger checkpoints.
The speedrun doesn't explain much.
If Ive found an alternative strategy, its been listed here....
- Infinite Rocket Launcher
Early on, perhaps the 7th room, you enter a huge area that seems to have 1000s of ships stacked.
Theres 4 jackals waiting at a lift, when the elevator comes down > throw Shock nades > kill Brutes > Pick up Rocket Launcher before hitting lift button.
Next there's a corridor, before a room with controls, few Brutes & Grunts. This is your first Skip.
- Door SKIP - Highly recommend - avoids entire fight with the brutes in Control Room!
At the back door on the right. Push & melee x3 untill door opens.
Go down the corridor till the light comes on, then backtrack.
After you fall down the Lift Shaft, in the next room there's a low box that can be pushed to the ledge. Plasma nade & Grapple it, to be flung over the other side.
- Box SKIP - Optional/Saves some time -
Grapple box & yeet across parkour platform room. I could regularly do this.
ALT STRAT - Different Box
This will be your secondary weapon for whole game.
(this is not the speedrun video, but id highly recommend getting the Sword as your secondary to the Rocket)
Go Spiderman GO!
Grapple & look slightly i opposite direction to swing faster & further.
- Equipment Unlock - Shield
The next room, spam Shock nades, Rocket the stunned.
Before placing the battery into the lift switch, remember to Sword the last enemy to get Shield back & a Checkpoint for the Boss.
- Boss - TREMONIUS
Kill Jackals > run to back of either end of room > lead him underground > spam shock nades at him.
Spam them round corner, so he can't see you, as he backs off, push in, spam more and retreat. Basically get stun locked in narrow corridor
ALT STRAT - Sword spam whilst circle strafing
ALT STRAT 3 - Melee Juggle
- Unlock GrappleShock
Soon as door to the outside opens, the next few items are literally all next to each other, so pause & watch the videos here, so you can grab the core, hit all the switches & grab the Scorpion Gun without getting hit or loosing your way. Just keep high & to the cliff side.
- Door opens
- Spartan Core 2
- Orbital Cannon Switches x3
This will launch a Orbital strike on nearby enemies
- Scorpion Gun - Right next to the 3rd switch.
Do NOT drop it or grapple another weapon. You will loose gun permanently. Kill self with grenades immediately if you do.
- Possible Issue - Pelican never arrives/outpost not clear.
See above Issues section. May need to run around area, may need to repeatedly kill self for previous checkpoint.
- Spartan Core 3
Last chance to make sure you still have Scorpion Gun equipped on you.
We can NEVER come back here to get the Scorpion gun if its dropped.
- board Pelican.
* This area has now ended. *
Try & melee an enemy when can, as if shields are not full, could go back miles.
- Eliminate FoB Golf base enemies
- is a Spartan Core here at the base, not shown on video.
- PELICAN GLITCH
Call in any vehicle, grapple Lamp post or tree to launch self upto Pilots window and Hold X to get in. If dies, don't worry, try again.
Once in > Start > End Game > Main Menu > Load Game > LASO save > Pelican will be on floor, possibly flipped over, but you can flip back just like other vehicles.
Aim towards the tower and pick up...
- Spartan Core 4
- Tower Fight - park the Pelican away from the tower, should get a Checkpoint if have full shields. This is next big clear out of the game, but once this is done, we are going to glitch past most of the game.
- Spartan Core 5
- LockDown Switch
SpeedRun then shows some aerobatics, shooting the Brutes on the edge of the platform. Really dont need to bother, I just shot them on the ramps.
Also then shows jumping on the grave lift, but could grab few Spartan Cores nearby or after the Tower Boss is killed.
I went up the lift the moment i hit the 2nd switch, grappled straight inside.
Literally walk into it.
Safe way to proceed up the Tower is to Spam Shocknades and threat sensor.
In the video he just Spiderman his way through, but i found i got shot way to much.
Theres also another Spartan Core on the way up, if you want.
- Boss - CHAK'LOK - Invisible Elite
Spam Shock nades, Tank gun, repeat, final blow with Sword so you get checkpoint.
Could spam Threat Sensor too.
---------- *BREAK TIME* - Setup is done! - About to Skip to Mission 14!
- grab Upgrades - Spartan Cores
Perfect time to grab some more.
Video shows minimum amount needed, whilst keeping optimal route for the sake of time, but a safer bet would to make sure Shields are full by meleeing an enemy, getting a checkpoint & grabbing a few extra easy Spartan Cores.
I just avoided the main bases/missions & got couple extras, but really didn't need them.
Additional cores you could grab
4th Grapple kinda pointless. No need to do grand Slam to stun enemies when you have infinite Shocknades! If do get more, use on Shields.
Dash would be a good idea, except we never do the level that has it, so cannot upgrade. Infinite Invisibility would be nice though..
Can use a map to check off the easy ones to get to
https://mapgenie.io/halo-infinite/maps/zeta-halo
- Pelican - Your transportation through the glitch
Make sure still have one still, or get to a FOB > Pelican Spawn
Follow the path.
Make sure you cross at this Bridge. If you dont, Pelican Explodes!
- Spartan Core 6
there is another Spartan Core in same area, on other side of the Canyon
- unlock Grappleshot x3 (you dont need the 4th, but it wont break anything if you do)
- The Road SKIP - the big one youve been waiting for!
Head to Mission 5 - Excavation Site
Explanation
> Skip cutscene > Start > End Game > Load Game > Jump into Mining Laser > Pelican > SKIP (The Road Skip) > through kill Barrier > into entrance of House of Reckoning
Excavation Laser > House of Reckoning path
Bit trickier than everything else so far, but far from impossible.
- Door SKIP
Explanation - Watch if cant pull it off.
Hopefully you have already turned on "Hold to Crouch" in settings, otherwise follow the above explanation video.
Start > Settings > Controller > Movement & Aiming > Hold to Crouch
Park yourself ontop of door, crouch & grapple the overhang & hold melee to do a ground pound through door.
Wait for audio que, follow video & do same at next door.
Careful as not doing this right will cause the Boss NOT to spawn when you get there.
ALT STRAT - If really cannot get through the door, can try the previous room with red hologram. Go upstairs and use same method to glitch through the floor and follow out of bounds round the right side, to end up at same end location as the other Skip, just a longer journey.
If cant to do the original door skip, then try to return to the previous room, I cant remember if door is locked, BUT you can safely restart the mission if need to get back to start room with red hologram, which is the same if you dont hit the checkpoints if your unfortunate that Sword Boss fails to spawn.
- Sword boss - JEGA 'RDOMNAI - Spartan killer
Spam shock nades, Tank gun, repeat, final blow with Sword so you get a checkpoint!
Can also swap your Sword with his, if you like.
- Brute boss - ESCHARUM
In cutscene, SPAM skip & SHOOT= Instant Kill
ALT SKIP - Optional / Riskier / Avoids Hunterfight!
This longer one actually takes you all the way to the bridge scene with the Hologram.
-Hunter room from speedrun.
ALT STRAT - Shooting hunters from above.
- Hologram Bridge scene SKIP
- OPTIONAL - I personally didn't do this one as I couldn't get back into the level via the door shown. Skipping the cutscene didn't really save me that much time & doesn't open doors. Alas i couldn't get my way back in the way he groundpounds the top of doors to get in.
ALT SKIP - Optional / Riskier - Gets you to last Boss room.
Golden hallway
I just Spidermanned my way into the roof and flew above all of enemies, landing at the door on left, completely out of harms way. Throw few Shocknades if they do see you.
Last Boss - HARBINGER
Usual tactic, Shocknade & Tankshot enemies as they come out the doors.
2x Scorpion shots + Sword strike when Boss is on ground
ALT STRAT - Fight out of Bounds
Yes, the credits rolled & you didn't get your achievements.
Time to solve that by doing one last mission.
Can take a while to clear these Bases/Beacons of all enemies.
If Cortana is refusing to use a Switch even after clearing a base, check out the Issues section above.
Enjoy
---------- ----------
The most forgiving LASO.
I completed in 3hrs game time (maybe 12hrs + realtime over few sessions) as I completed the first lvl without knowing about infinite stun grenades, the early Rocket launcher or the SKIP, bypassing most of the fighting! *facepalm*
I died a fair amount, but it doesn't matter in this game as much, only frustrating when you return to a room miles back, when you were sure must of got a checkpoint, but obviously didn't have full shields.
Constructed via combination for other guides & findings.
Realise has similar content to Kexol, although I found same items independently.
I'm only posting as combined some alternative Info & would suggest following the Speedrun as primary video.

---------- Lvl 3 - Outpost Tremonious
- Spartan Core 1 - literally walk into it- Unlock GrappleShock
---------- Lvl 4 - The Tower
- Equipment Unlock - Threat SensorLiterally walk into it.
---------- Lvl 14 - House of Reckoning
Time to avoid the 2 big battles & glitch through both doors.Bit trickier than everything else so far, but far from impossible.
---------- Lvl 15 - Silent Auditorium - Last lvl
- Floor SKIPALT SKIP - Optional / Riskier / Avoids Hunterfight!
---------- Post Game - Lvl 9 - The Sequence
FOB Golf > Pelican > Quit > Load > over bridge > mountain > look at Spire > Cortana dialog "Wow look at the Spire.." > Quit > Load > clear enemies > Button > mission The Sequence > 4x Beacons > AchievementCan take a while to clear these Bases/Beacons of all enemies.
If Cortana is refusing to use a Switch even after clearing a base, check out the Issues section above.

If find any discrepancies, please comment and ill alter the guide.
Just a quick point about the scorpion gun that I haven’t seen mentioned above, i dunno if my game glitched or was an error.
I was 3/4 way through my run when I accidentally grappled another gun with the rope and replaced my scorpion gun I had taken damage before this so no checkpoint I thought so I died I respawned at previous checkpoint with no scorpion gun but the gun I picked up. I went to menu loaded back in I was in a different location not far from checkpoint with no scorpion gun, I restarted mission and I again had the gun I grappled and no scorpion gun. I lost this save as I wasn’t quick enough to delete and download from cloud, my second run I’m doing now same thing happened this time I was quick enough to get a previous save from cloud.
So becareful with the grapple in my experience the game seems to save you dropping the scorpion gun even if reverting back to checkpoint. Or my game just went weird

Side-notes on the scorpion gun as it pertains to this run:
Sprinting also does not work, and it seems chief has trouble using gravity lifts with the scorpion gun equipped. Very quickly get the habit of switching back to your sword whenever there is no one to explode. Don't try to use thruster, it distorts chief and massively slows you down. During the sequence portion of the campaign, you will launch enemies off of the ring with cowbell acceleration. Don't reset or suicide, walk a little bit away from the area and come back. In my run this either resulted in the missing enemy teleporting back home, or Weapon simply deciding I was done without killing the last enemy.
Lastly, there are numerous weird interactions with bosses. Some of them will get stuck in a wall, bypassing all of their scripting. This happened for both of my elite bosses. More interestingly, I managed to one-hit kill both Basus and Escherum after only a few fails. For Escherum this was particularly funny because he managed to deploy his energy shield after death! The parameters for this are beyond my understanding, but when fighting these two bosses I highly recommend you to just spam your scorpion gun at their feet as soon as the cutscenes end. If you are lucky they will just die without issue.

After having collected all 12 skulls, you have to start another playthrough, setting legendary difficulty and all skulls active.
Only when you come close to an obstacle, a yellow sight may appears.
I found very helpful to put a little piece of paper (or anything else you have at home that can do the job) on my tv/monitor over that yellow sight!
Now you can move away from the obstacle and you will have that paper-sight active for all your playthrough.
With all skulls active, you have infinite ammo and grenades, but your shields only recharge with melee attacks.
I used a lot of dynamo-grenades, that stops the enemies for a very little time and it’s easier to shoot them or do a melee attack.
For the first part of the playthrough, i used a rocketlauncher and weapons with bullets that tracks the enemies (like needler or pulse carabine).
As soon as you come to the scorpion-gun, just take it and never leave it.
This will be your primary weapon. But with this equipped you can't throw grenades.
As secondary weapon you can use sword, or any other weapon you like to use, but be sure you can throw grenades with it equipped.
Use a lot of dynamo-grenades and electric-grappleshots that stops enemies and do melee attacks to recharge your shields.
Leave always on the battleground one weak enemy, and you can use it to recharge your shields.
Be patient, don’t rush, and think about recharging your shields as soon as is possible.

The skull bandana gives us instant recovery of abilities and endless ammunition, which makes the passage very simple. I used upgraded strafes with invisibility and ran past enemies during some of the levels. Also in mission 3 you can get a portable tank gun and the game turns into an easy walk, the most important thing is not to accidentally replace it with another weapon by pulling it with a hook.

The description of the skulls says that when they are turned on, achievements do not work. But at the moment this is not the case - some of the achievements work
Along with this achievement you can get:
- Legendary check
- Die with dignity

With the release of season 4, they finally made a significant improvement in obtaining this achievement. Before this, it could be bugged and if all the conditions were met, the achievement would not appear. Now you can separately check all tasks after completing the game. If you have not received the achievement, check all quests to receive the COMPLETE+ label, it is with the “plus” that the quests completed on the LCH are shown.
