How to unlock the Wars with Friends achievement in Halo Infinite - Definitive Guide
The earliest this can be done is before "The Tower" mission after you have captured your first FOB. You can gain "Valor" by doing various side tasks around Zeta halo which you will need to unlock the Razorback to spawn at any FOB (I believe the amount needed is only around 500 Valor).
After the razorback is unlocked travel to an FOB and marines should automatically accompany you by standing near them, simply call in the razorback, wait for the marines to get in (I only had 2) and drive to "The Tower" (or any other main mission if your further ahead)
The achievement should pop after passing the "Recovery" nav point with a razorback full of marines.
NOTE: It turns out you might just need to drive into the mission area as Maverick Hiro unlocked the achievement after completing the "The Tower" mission and driving into the area.
UPDATE: It seems the best way people have been unlocking this achievement is fast traveling to FOB Golf, getting some marines, then driving across the bridge where the "Recovery" nav point is located and it should pop there regardless of whether the main mission has been completed or not.

After trying everything that was written here and mentioned in videos, I finally got this in my post-game save (100%) by replaying "The Sequence", then pressing the first button (after killing the enemies nearby, "Unlock Door") to open up the bridge. Then I made my way to FOB Lima, spawned a Warthog and honked my horn to get two marines in. Then I drove to the Beacon that's directly north of The Command Spire. As soon as I got near the Beacon, the achievement popped.
Note: I did get out of the vehicle once or twice, so this doesn't seem to be an issue.
Note 2: A friend did it separately with a full squad in a Razorback with the same steps.
Note 3: It might be possible to do this by picking up the marines at FOB November which is closer to a beacon instead of Lima.

This one unlocked for me after the Tower mission was already done. I just drove by with a bunch of marines so i think as long as you get them to a main mission location it pops.

This can be done anytime after leaving Outpost Tremonius.
Simply go to any FOB you've captured, call in a vehicle, let marines jump in, then drive them to any main mission marker on the map.
It doesn't matter if it's a mission you've already completed on this save. So you can absolutely do that achievement after finishing all the main missions.
The easiest way would be grabbing marines at FOB Golf (the one you have to capture straight after leaving Outpost Tremonius) and driving them to Recovery (the marker just east of the Tower) works.

Just to add more information to the above guides.
This achievement was kind of glitched for me, I had to try maybe 20 times for it to pop.
What finally worked was to grab a marine that wasn't from a FOB or a saved squad.
So I had to find a random marine who was having a walk around the map.
Some are popping next to FOB Foxtrot on the road to Ransom Keep.
Sometimes, instead of marines there, there will be brutes and elites. If that's the case, just kill yourself, spawn back at FOB Foxtrot and check that place again. Eventually there will be a group of 2 or 3 marines.
Get one on a mongoose and drive to the Recovery point.
Also, I did that with a 100% completed savefile.

This is the only method that worked for me. I can suggest this to anybody who struggles with it.

I replayed the distress call (I believe Cayman) near the recovery map point. After that, I grabbed the razorback and just rescued marines and drove them to recovery and it popped. Tried a lot of other things first

You must first rescue a squad of Marines and get them into a vehicle. Then head to a campaign mission location (e.g. THE TOWER) with the Marines to get the achievement. Please note: Marines stationed at forward bases do not unlock the achievement. Here is a video to help you.
Wanted to share that this achievement popped when I had a full compliment of marines in my Razorback, post endgame. The marines must have a random tag to say if they are rescued, so just take 5 with you across a completed mission threshold for the pop. It didn't work for me with a single marine in 3 vehicles or 2 in both attack warthogs, so the only thing I can think is that you need a full 5 man team, or just to have that one special marine with the "Rescued" tag on them.
Anyone still struggling with this, I think I found a surefire way to pop this achievement!
Replay Cayman Squad and rescue all the marines (should be 5), when the area is secure a Razorback will magically appear. Simply drive over the bridge past the Recovery Mission Marker towards the tower and it should unlock the achievement.
I tried all the methods above with no success. Rescued 5 marines from nearby and it was the first attempt!
