How to unlock the Watt Say You? achievement in Halo Infinite - Definitive Guide
EDIT 12/9/2023 Bot Bootcamp has been removed once again.
EDIT 12/25/22 Mixed reports that this may no longer work in Bot Bootcamp even though the mode has returned. This may now need to be completed in live team modes, but some say it is still working in BB.
EDIT 11/22/22 - Bot Bootcamp has returned.
EDIT 11/08/22 - Bot Bootcamp was removed in the Winter 2022 update. According to the devs it seems like this may have been removed due to AI problems. It may be returning in a later update.
For now this achievement will need to be completed in regular matchmaking.
(Currently can be completed against bots in Bot Bootcamp. Easiest method for me was on Aquarius right at the start of the match. Go grab the rifle and all four bots should be grouped together. Let your teammates dmg them a bit and fire away at the full health ones.)
Weapon spawn points in this game may seem really random, but each particular weapon pickup location only has 2 available weapons that will spawn at it (except Handgun spawns which have 3).
At each of the spots I list below you will either find a Shock Rifle or a Stalker Rifle. If the Stalker spawns then you won't be able to find the Shock that whole game in that weapon spawn. Try another spawn point (if there is one in that map) or quit out/wait for another match and try again.
If you look just to the right of your minimap in game it will tell you where you are in the level. The capitilized locations I've notated below are actual spots in the map, so keep looking around (or marking spots using until you find the spot I mention.
Locations:
Streets: on the Subway Balcony
Aquarius: in Hydro, down & left from the starting Blue Base, down/right from Yellow Base.
Launch Site: up in the Bunker Nest (left part of the Bunker that's the starting point for the capture team)
Fragmentation: at either starting base, Cliff Base or Canyon Base, on the left side near the launch/jump pad.
Highpower: 1st/2nd spawn behind either starting base at the landing pad. 3rd spawn is mid-left from Waterfall Base / mid-right from Tower Base, you'll find Overlook. Two weapon pickups are there - Ravager/Hydra and Stalker/Shock Rifle. There's a 4th spawn at Cave Pit (forward and left of Waterfall Base).
Deadlock: left rear of both Low Base and High Base spawns.
In order to get a "Chain Reaction", secondary chained damage to a nearby enemy must kill them.
There are 3 known methods of getting this achievement to pop:
1) Fire the rifle at an enemy, then any other nearby enemies (within around 1-2 meters) will be shocked for a lesser amount of damage. That secondary dmg needs to kill the 2nd enemy.
2) Throw a gun on the ground and shoot it to cause chain damage to nearby enemies.
3) Shoot a vehicle (not the enemy) and the damage will harm the enemies in it, eventually killing them. A full warthog or tank works great! (This doesn't seem to always work if there aren't at least 2 people riding the vehicle)
Tips for enemy-2-enemy chains:
- Shoot one of the enemies a couple times and then focus your fire on the other guy so the chain damage kills the one who's already weak.
- Wait for a teammate to damage one of them and then shoot the other guy if you're worried about running out of ammo before the chain kills him.

I tried a number of times to get this in Bot Bootcamp but getting both the right maps and having it spawn the Shock Rifle instead of Stalker was a real pain, maybe 1 out of every 5 games if I was lucky. And then in the rare event I got the right map setup it was very difficult to get bots in a place where I could do this without teammates killing them prematurely. So what I ended up doing is playing BTB and grabbing the Shock Rifle whenever possible to try and do it with the vehicle method as described in some of the other guides. This was also tricky but I got super close to getting it a few times without too many attempts so I think this would be more reliable in general.
However the way I ended up actually getting it was on a CTF match on Fragmentation, where I decided to just sneak to the back of the enemy base and look for AFK players. I ended up finding one pretty easily and then I just dropped my secondary weapon next to him, punched him once, and then fired two shots at the weapon on the ground for the cheevo. Obviously it's no guarantee you'll find someone AFK but with BTB it's fairly common. Doing it on an objective gametype where players are usually distracted and concentrated in a specific part of the map definitely makes it easier, so I recommend this method for anyone who is having difficulty getting it.

This achievement is the worst of them all. Tried several dozen times in fiesta and bot matches and its just impossible. the tutorial videos make it look each. Just injure a player, bounce it off a nearby object and *boom* kill. But every time I do, the shot requires two when the shields are down. And I can't get the second shot in because I get trolled. Either I get killed before I can get the second shot in or a teammate steals my kill. Additionally, sometimes the game messes up and even though I shoot the objector player to bounce off of, the bounce never happened or game super lags hard and causes me to miss. Even though I shot it clear as day. And most times I don't get maps with shock rifle, when I do I spawn on the farthest spot away from it or the RNG is bad and the spot that spawns the shock rifle gets the stalker rifle. WTF.
Unless they make a playlist called "shocking", where everyone gets shock rifles and disruptor pistols with dynamo grenades and that way I always get the shock rifle, I don't see myself getting this achievement any time soon. I've tried for two days straight and gave up after like 8+ hours trying.

There's multiple ways you can do this achievement but the easiest way I found is in Bot Bootcamp. All you have to do is find a map that has the Shock Rifle, my example uses the map "Streets," place a few weapons in an area around the floor, then wait for a Bot to come near and begin shooting the weapon with your shock rifle. In order for the achievement to pop, you need to get a kill from the electricity chaining off of the weapon on the floor or from the electricity chaining off of another player. Personally, placing weapons around is more consistent than finding 2 players standing next to each other so I recommend this strategy. Hope this helps.

It's not for getting a kill form chaining off a weapon on the floor. you just need to get a kill with the chaining damage. you can shoot a group of people and as long as it kills someone you get the achievement. might wanna correct that bold sentence

Thank you for pointing that out. Was describing my example more so than just how to do the achievement. Has been updated now.

Just a quick addition to what all the previous guides have shown, if you aim for vehicles that are occupied, the more passengers the better you can get this from a decent range.

Definitely easier than trying to get 2 bots close together or shooting a weapon that they may or may not walk near. Once you know where the weapon spawns (thanks to the other guides) it's just a matter of patience as there's often vehicles driving around in BTB.

Yeah, i tried the other methods and got this one out of luck, immediately hit my record that button on the xbox lol

I don't want to make an official guide for this but i just want to share how i get it.
I found an enemy texting or doing something else while garding his flag. I drop my second gun on the ground, i bash the enemy and i shooted my second gun on the ground.
Playlist: Big Team Battle
There a video: https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/actl-marines/video/147010107
Am not a good shooter in video games, hopefully, that will be usefull for someone.

Watt Say You? Achievement guide.
A few notes before I start:
CAN be done in Bot Bootcamp It seems it no longer works in BB
The Shock Rifle is NOT on every map
On the maps it is on, it DOESN'T always spawn
With that out of the way, here is what I found to be the easiest method. Load up on a map with it, for me it was Aquarius. Find the shock rifle, which should be on either the left or right side of the map from spawn, and carry it to a safe location (see video). From there, drop your secondary by holding down (for you it may be different, I use Recon controls). Then wait for a bot to enter. From here try and weaken it so it has no shields. Then, shoot the gun you dropped, yes the GUN. Keep in mind the bot must be near to the gun to do this. If you're lucky, you'll get the kill and the achievement.
I tried other solutions dozens of times and this method left by a lovely commenter worked first try once I found the necessary map. Guide for the achievement below. Xbox only recorded 1:39 of the 2 minutes I asked for, sorry.

I realize that adding the 10th guide for this awful achievement is just electrocuting a dead horse, but after 3-5 hours of trying to get it in every different game mode, I finally did, and figured I would share some tips. This was the 117th one for me, at roughly 95 hours of gameplay. That is how unlikely it is to occur naturally. It's almost random, but there are certain things you can do to make it less exhausting.
The clip shows my finally successful attempt on a BTB Slayer seconds before the buzzer, on an unshielded enemy recently fallen out of a flipped warthog.
Finding the gun - better in BTB:
1. Yes it's easier with bots. Yes, you can leave as many Bot Bootcamp games as you want whilst searching for the right map without consequence. However, I eventually hit a stretch where I didn't find a game with the shock rifle in bot bootcamp for 20+ attempts. I almost believe the game was actively working against me.
2. It's a common weapon in BTB games on almost every map, and you'll have more space & time to line up a shot.
Actually getting the kill
1. Vehicles will blow up before your arc kills any passengers — before getting the kill in my clip, I destroyed FOUR fully-loaded warthogs with the shock rifle by firing directly at them. The damage from the main blast is powerful enough to destroy the vehicle before any passengers would be killed by secondary arcs unless they're barely clinging to life. So despite this being suggested as a helpful route, it can be a distracting target with no payoff and you'll use up your entire supply of ammo, having to reload on the shot that would have gotten the kill, while someone else grabs it.
2. Conserve ammo until the perfect moment — this awful gun is slow to fire and slower to reload. Save the ammo until you're actually in a position to pull this off, or you'll be caught reloading whilst someone else comes by and punches your quarry to death RIGHT after you've popped their shields.
3. WAIT until you see an unshielded enemy — the secondary "chain reaction" damage is PITIFUL. Do not shoot a weapon/a teammate/a vehicle next to your intended target hoping to take them down from full health. Even an unshielded enemy will absorb TWO of these arcs before dying.
Other guides have shown how to actually create the arc needed to pull this off, but perhaps my example will help streamline the process for somebody out there! Happy hunting.

Hey Spartans!
This is probably the most annoying achievement of the situational multiplayer achievements in Infinite (so far). It requires you to shoot an enemy while a teammate of his is nearby and weak enough so they die to the electrical charge that bounces off of player with shields/full health. I would avoid Big Team Battle as there are too many players running around to effectively get the gun, set up, and wait for two players to be next to each other in this exact situation. Instead, I would recommend you head to the Bot Bootcamp playlist as the bots tend to group up. After trying to attain this in Big Team Battle all night I switched to Bot Bootcamp and got it in 2-3 matches. You can quit out of the match without penalty/screwing your team over too while you search for the right map making this even faster. Here are the maps and locations where you can find the shock rifle:
Streets (Oddball) - Top Floor Terrace in the New Mambasa Transit Authority building
Aquarius - To the right side of the initial spawn on the bottom floor right in the middle of the map
If there are any more please let me know and I will add it to the list. Here is a clip of me getting this done in Bot Bootcamp (skip to the 20 second mark if you only want to see the shot where I get the achievement/medal): https://imgur.com/a/nrryNyk
I essentially just waited for my teammates to lower a bot's shields and for another bot to walk by/group up with it. You could try and set it up by yourself by dropping a gun where you think they might travel but I found shooting a gun with the shock rifle to be way too frustrating/inconsistent.

This was the trickiest of the multiplayer achievements for me. I recommend doing it in the Bot Bootcamp playlist and grabbing the Shock Rifle on Streets or Aquarius (spawn location is the same but it alternates between the Shock Rifle and the Stalker Rifle so you have to be lucky). Since the bots tend to bunch up together, it's easier to just shoot one over and over in hopes that it kills another bot nearby. Here is a clip of how I got the achievement.
Hope this helps

To get this achievement, you must obtain a Chain Reaction medal by eliminating an opponent with an electric arc generated during the impact of an Shock Rifle shot.
Warning: a direct Shock Rifle shot does not unlock the achievement, you must kill with the electric arc generated by the shot.
Here is a video with some tips to help you.

This can also be unlocked by shooting a vehicle as the source of the shock damage. I was able to unlock this achievement when a warthog gunner jumped out of their vehicle as they had lost their shields. I quickly shot part of the backend of the warthog and it created the shock charge to damage and kill the enemy. This method could work best with capture the flag and waiting for a group of enemies to drive towards the defending base and wait for them to jump out.
Here is the clip of me unlocking the achievement. I was playing ctf and the game was very close to ending. I was playing on PC and my capture software didn't capture the achievement pop overlay.

To get this Achievement you must earn a Chain Reaction Medal with the Shock Rifle in a Matchmade game or Bot Bootcamp.
An easy way to get this Achievement is to find an idle enemy, melee them to drain shield, drop your other weapon on the ground, & shoot the dropped weapon with the Shock Rifle.
This video shows the technique that you need to do for the Achievement.

What I did was play Ranked Arena, and took advantage of the King of the Hill on Recharge. You'll notice that I got it pretty quick after shooting the pad with the Shock Rifle. What you probably didn't notice is that I decided to try it out because, "eh, I need some practice befofre I try it for real," and lo and behold, it didn't take that long.

We need to kill the enemy by causing a chain reaction with an electric rifle. I was able to do this without any problems in the battle of large teams; the electric rifle appears on all maps of this mode. Afterwards you will need to find two opponents behind the Warhog - usually one sits behind the wheel, the second behind the turret. We shoot at the car until one of them dies.
