How to unlock the Both Barrels achievement in Halo: Reach - Definitive Guide
You have to get a double kill with the shotgun. You don't have to do this on a Noble Map Pack map, but still need to own the DLC before you can get the achievement.
I found the easiest way to do this achievement in the playlist living dead.
If you start off as a human, you'll get a shotgun. Zombies are really easy to kill, so getting an double kill shouldn't be a problem (Except for Safe Havens). If you still have a problem with getting a double kill, try staying behind a corner. If two zombies pass you, kill them.
Also, if you are the last man standing, you'll get lots of zombies to get a double kill with.
[edit] A lot of people report getting the noble map pack achievements without having the dlc. I don't know what triggers that, but people report getting them only in online matches (not in custom) in the playlists Living Dead and Team Slayer.

Edit: Zombies has changed, principal for achievement remains.
An easy achievement, requiring a double kill with the shotgun. First off, this does NOT have to be on a noble map pack map. You simply have to OWN the DLC to get this achievement.
For easy shotgun kills, I suggest the Living Dead playlist. In a 12-player, 3-round game, you have a about a 75% chance of being human each round, you have very good odds of getting put as a human. If you do, try to hang onto your life at least until a couple other humans are infected, this way there are more zombies for you to get a double kill off. Zombies will die from quite the distance with the shotgun so try not to let them get too close.
The Alpha Zombies gametype seems to be a fair bit easier to get doublekills in because the zombies only have sprint to run at you. In the other gametype, Infection, the zombies have evade, which can prove very troublesome when trying to get close-range kills.
goodluck, and enjoy your simple achievement!

You don't have to own the DLC to get the achievement. -negative

I just had this achievement pop for me just a second ago. It was so strange I don't own the Noble DLC what so ever and never have had it on my Xbox, but I was playing on Sword Base and I got the Shotgun and got a double kill and just got the achievement randomly, I assume this happened due to the new title update.

I did this on invasion on the breakpoint map. When you get have to fall back to the final hurdle (defending the bomb from being taken to the helipad bombsite) as a spartan you get the shotgun in your weapon loadout. Simply stick next to the bomb in the large hanger and the opposite team will come flooding at you to retrieve the bomb.
If you sit in the corner next to the door you'll be hidden from view until the enemy is up close and they tend to swarm so you'll get enough chance to take out two or more with the shotgun.
I didn't do it this way, i managed it as an elite in the same area, i simply picked up a shotgun and killed two people on my way to the bomb in the location i described.

I got this on the Living Dead playlist - safe haven mode. As a human, just lay low until almost everyone is a zombie. Get in a safe zone and the zombies will swarm it, unable to harm you. It's like shooting fish in a barrel.
If you hate Living Dead, or if you for some odd reason can't handle a shotgun (like me - if that is even possible, but apparently it is), you can get this achievement by playing regular slayer on the map Sword Base. Grab the shotgun from under the stairs, and head across the bridge for the tiny room with the lift. People tend to pile up in that room, so simply hide and watch your radar for an enemy team to come up the lift. Stand still on either side of the lift to avoid stickies and granades, and shoot them in the back as they come flying up, one by one.
You will need the Noble Map Pack.

I did this on Invasion Spire. As there will be guys trying to defend the core, you can try to go up there and shotgun everyone you see. Works very well if they come in a group trying to take you down together.
You don't have to own the map pack yourself, which basically means you can also do it at your friend's house who owns it.
I did it on Living Dead. We were 3 players so once a few left or two of us were zombies, the other was waiting and when the other two showed up, Double Kill -> 50 G
It's not that hard, I'd say on Living Dead it's quite easy and if you are 3 people or more it's even easier: Everyone has a shotty and the enemies are your friends.
Edit: I did this on a usual map!

Nice and easy this, even if you don't fancy living dead.
I got this on Anchor 9 (although you don't need to do it on a DLC map)
Run to the shotgun in the centre, and try to take it to one of the passages near the exits to space, a double kill should throw itself at you eventually, more so as it's 6 on 6
EDIT: Action Sack now has Shotgun Assault, as you can imagine, a double kill is very likely to happen at some point during one of these games.

I got this by accident on High Noon in anniversary slayer. If you lurk around the area with the ramp, near the shotgun spawn then you get a lot of opportunities for close range kills.
Oddly enough, I don't own the Noble map pack, nor does anyone on my console.

As other have said, Living Dead is a good playlist for this achievement, just wanted to expand on that:
I did it on Sword Base. When you start as a human, you are on the ground, sprint to the left to take the Red Lift/Vent up. Stand to the right of the vent's exit with your back against the wall. If they come up the vent, they'll be easy to kill, and if they come down the hallway, you'll see them and be able to kill them. You can also do this facing the vent, so as they come up you can just mow them down. I like next to it so you get their backs and can see hallway incomers.
This works really well if you're the Last Man Standing, but if not zombies will stumble upon you and come back after you kill them. I now do this every time I'm on this map. It works really well for kills.

Exactly what it says: you must get a double kill with the shotgun. Strangely, you don't have to own the Noble Map Pack DLC to get this achievement. In my opinion, this was meant to be an original achievement, but didn't they include it as to keep the '7' reference up
This achievement can only be unlocked in Matchmaking within any competitive playlist. The achievement requires you to earn a Double Kill medal (2 kills within 4 seconds of each other) with the Shotgun. The easiest playlist to get this achievement is within the Living Dead playlist, as you spawn with a shotgun if you are a human and the zombies are fairly easy to kill. This achievement can be unlocked on any map.
