I got this today. It's ideal that you and your partner buy the cheapest CR pack because it's hard to obtain without the "35% XP Booster" ability.

We both purchased and equipped the ability on each level. If you do, you'll be getting Gold Medals without any problems. It's key to work together because you don't want to fail, because you'll have to waste more CR or XP to buy the "XP Booster" again.

If you're able to complete the 5 levels and obtain the Gold without dieing every time. You only need 250 CR or 5,000 XP altogether for the ability equipped on each level.

It's the most easiest method in my opinion.

I've tried to run through the levels without the booster and it's hard, even if your partner has the booster and you don't.

Another way for easy points is both players use "regen field" each player gets 1000 points for standing inside it.

For mission 5 we found it easier if we both had Teleport. 1 person stands on the switches, the other goes through and carries on and the partner can just teleport to the other without having to bugger about taking it in turns standing on switches all the time.

Also the power cores at the top and by the hardlight shield can be destroyed without actually having to go through the barriers, makes it easier

For those who don't want to spend real money on CR, the Score Booster costs 1000 XP. Following the suggestion of the Pension Plan solution, you can get 900 XP on A-1 in about 2 minutes, using Hollow and Black Eye. Since you need grind 25K XP for Pension Plan anyway, I suggest going the XP route. Spending XP won't decrease your Pension Plan progress.

Also, if you do fail the mission, whomever is in control can hit A for Try Again. You'll keep the Score Booster without spending more XP or CR.

Just as in single player, it seems that another key to high scores is multiple kills without taking damage. Even though I had Score Booster and my random teammate didn't, he got a much higher score by being a better player.

First off, it is highly recommended that both players purchase “Score Boosters” in the pre-game lobby of each mission. The Gold Star requirements for the five Co-Op missions are very high, and without any boosters, it will be too difficult to achievement the Gold Star rating.

Although both players are awarded points separately based off their actions - their scores will be represented by a Blue or Red Spartan helmet on the bottom of the screen – these points are then added together at the end of the mission for an overall score. Try to finish each level in a short amount of time for the added Time Bonus, and also, make sure to communicate effectively and use your grenades wisely in order to chain your kills together and score a lot of medals for an even bigger added bonus at the end. Some of the missions may need replaying, as the Gold Star requirements are very tough to get on your first run of the mission. Pay particular attention to the third and fifth mission, as these are the hardest Co-Op mission to achieve Gold Stars on.
