How to unlock the Brute Force achievement in Halo: Spartan Assault - Definitive Guide

This achievement is obtained on Operation D Mission 1.

You cannot use anything except the Bruteshot, melee, and grenades to throughout the mission. You don't come with a Bruteshot so you will need to kill a brute for one. They are the enemies with the jetpacks. Their are many grenade boxes all over which makes the achievement much easier. The whole mission is to destroy two doors and go into the last one to complete the mission. You do not have to kill anybody at all if you chose not to.

For some weird reason I've done this achievement like 5 times and in my list it shows as 100% but doesn't want to unlock. Unlocked it first try on Win 8. Any clues?

Is your xbox online? They won't unlock until you go online. If you are than I don't know what to tell you. If it shows you got 100% than it be unlocked.

Yup I'm always online :( I think this fucking achievement glitched on me.. Tried deleting my profile, clearing system cache, it's still showing 100% but not unlocked. This sucks :(

Posted on both xbox and 343 forums about this issue:

Hopefully I can get some help so that you can add it to your solution for others in the future.

I'll keep a look out. Hopefully, this gets patched and your achievement pops. Let me know if you find something as well.

@marklynx: Someone is having a similar issue with Weapon of Choice. I quoted one of his posts on your Halo Waypoint thread. Hopefully 343i will see a pattern to get this fixed for you and him. Seems like it could be an OS level glitch since the game is correctly telling the Achievement app that 100% progress has been made, yet the OS doesn't unlock the achievement.

This is coming by the same thread in the 343 forums by the Administrator:

"This is a platform issue, not a game issue. We reached out to Xbox Live Support and they are aware of this problem and are working on a fix. For additional information, you can reach out to them directly."

Sounds like MS may be on this issue or they say they are. Hopefully they can fix it asap so that I can actually complete this game.

Video-guide of Halo: Spartan Assault to get the Brute Force achievement. For this select group D-1 mission and complete the level just using punchs, grenades, shiled habilities or the Brute Shot, which are left by the Brutes with Jetpack. At the beggining of the video I speak in Spanish but it's just and introduction and I don't say anything relevant

If anyone make a negative vote please tell me why, so I can improve my future videos.
Greets.

This mission is very short, and should only take about four to five minutes to complete. With that in mind, do not forget that you can only use three weapons: a Brute Shot, grenades, and your melee attack. First off, the only tie you’re really going to be using the melee attack is to kill the Jetpack Brutes that are spawning in the first little area of the map that you start out in. They will always drop a Brute Shot, so be sure to pick it up. After you have killed a few Brutes, collected all their ammo, and picked up the Frags in the bottom left part of this section, proceed to blow up the door with these Frags and Brute Shot. Once you pass through, you’ll need to destroy another steel door in a similar manner. Be sure to use only the Brute Shot and Grenades though! There are several enemies in this next section of the level, but there are enough Brutes and grenade caches to resupply from.

Once the second door has been destroyed, proceed inside to equip a Jetpack, and the mission will be complete!

This mission will introduce Brutes and the Brute Shot. At the start of the level you'll have a Brute Shot right next to you, and for the duration of the very short mission, use the Brute Shots and grenades on the two doors you need to blow up, and melee the Brutes that appear for more Brute Shot ammo. Be sure to run around to pick up grenades from enemies your teammates kill, and from the couple of grenade boxes, to make the mission go quicker.
