How to unlock the Foot Soldier achievement in Halo: Spartan Assault - Definitive Guide
You have to kill the 6 yellow Elites without using any vehicle or turret. You come with the Hologram armor ability which you want to use to distract the enemy tanks so you can slip past them. Grenades will one shot the elites and is advised. The flyers will follow through the whole map so kill them asap.
For this select level E-4 and complete de stage without using any vehicle or turret. Our best friend will be the plasma gun which we'll kill all the enemies with easily. In the video I don't do this, but this way you would get the glod medal and the achievement at once.
At the beggining of the video I speak in Spanish but it's just and introduction and I don't say anything relevant
If anyone make a negative vote please tell me why, so I can improve my future videos.
Greets.
Use the Plasma Repeater for all the ground enemies and the rocket for all the vehicles and turrets. I also used the rocket launcher for the Hammer guy. Activate Overshield whenever you're in danger and it'll save your life. Save your grenades for your elite targets since they'll 1 shot them.
Once you run out of ammo, swap the Repeater for one of those Laser guns and use that. Take care of the bugs and elites as they'll mostly be the problem. Honestly, if you just take it slow and kill everything, you won't have any trouble. You have a lot of ammo with the rocket but by the end it will be close to empty so be a bit conservative with it.
Once you reach the end, go right. (This is shortly after the hammer guy). If you go left there will be a turret that will ruin your day. Go right and kill off the elites and turrets. Or just run in there and quickly take out both elite targets with a couple nades.
Makes this so much easier.
Other tip is that this seems to be glitched somewhat. I had a couple tried and failed attempts before I did it but no achievement pop.
For safety, every time you need to retry, force quit the game to the dashboard.
Flawless run after that should net you the achievement:)
The objective of this mission is to find and kill the Elite Generals scattered around the map. This map is very large, and there are plenty of vehicles around to use and/or hijack, but for this achievement, you will NOT want to get into any vehicle.
I personally recommend purchasing a Sniper Rifle and the Rocket Launcher for this mission. The former weapon will help take out ground troops – Elite Generals includes – very easily, while the latter weapon will dispose of the Covenant Wraiths, Ghosts, and Shade Turrets that populate the map.
Also, once the Drones spawn, they do so in countless waves that never seem to end. You may ned to swap one of your weapons out for an automatic rifle to get rid of them quickly. Overall, keep trotting down the canyon, killing all six Elite Generals and do not step into any vehicle! Once the last General has been taken out, the mission will end and the achievement will be unlocked.
This mission is a rather wide open area full of tons of turrets and vehicles (Ghosts and Wraiths), but with your setup it's not all that difficult to run through it.
Basically, you want to rely on using your hologram to distract enemies, allowing you to run the opposite direction. Using this effectively can reduce the fire you take substantially, and also help influence the many Wraiths to help you thin out the numbers via friendly fire. The main idea for this achievement is to just run from Officer to Officer (the objective targets) and take them out, then move to the next. I found the Needler available in a crate near the very first ghost to be satisfactory for this, but obviously doing it with the Sniper Rifle will be even easier since they'll only take a single shot to kill. There aren't a ton of grenades in this level, so be sure to use them primarily on the Wraiths>Tanks>Turrets, since that's the general order of threat. Overall, it's a pretty simple achievement, though you most likely won't get the gold on this run.
