How to unlock the 2 Bugs are Better Than 1 achievement in Halo Wars - Definitive Guide
You'll need to be convenant to get this, doesn't matter which leader.
Scarabs are 20 population.
They cost 3000 each.
Each scarab is 20 population, so if you have two it's 40. If you do a standard game to get this achievement, then you will only have 2 scarabs as your whole army, since you cant get higher than 40 in a standard game.
So do a deathmatch, on easy, capture 4 or 5 bases, then build two scarabs, and go destroy the enemy. :)
NOTE: You can get up to 50 population with the Followers perk from the Temple.

The Scarab's only cost me 3000 and you can get your army up to 50 by buying the followers upgrade from the temple

If you don't get the Followers upgrade, then you'll have to send your starting unit (Ghost, Chopper) out and get killed. That way you'll have the full 40 population left.

this ones really easy. All i did was use the covenant and i went against any human. Put the human on easy mode. Also just remeber you dont have to have just 2 scarabs you can also have 10 more people with the followers perk which i would suggest using by getting 10 engineers to heal your scarabs. Just put it on deathmatch make 2 scarabs(they take a little bit to make). When youve got both scarabs just go around and destroy the enemy base. Since its on easy hell probably have one warthog and maybe a turret by now which isnt much of a problem for your scarab.
This achievement can be done in a Private Match over xbox live with a friend or a second account.
I used the following.
Arbitor
1v1
Pirth Outskirts
Deathmatch
Easy
Go take all the bases besides your friends or second accounts main base. Once you have them all make two scarabs and attack their main base.
Achievement Unlocked!

I made a video when I got this years ago, everyone else above laid it out here is the video. I hope it becomes of some value to my fellow gamers.
- Easiest Way -
Go on Skirmish and use the following settings:
You: Prophet
Enemy: Any Human (UNSC)
Players: 1v1
Map: Release (1v1)
Mode: Deathmatch
Difficulty: Easy
The reason we use Release as the map is because you can kill the bases really easy (No turrets).
Now as soon as you start, start building a temple and shield generator, along with turrets and warehouses. Now get your ghost to go attack a nearby natural base, then use your prophet (When your temple is built) with the ghost to get more bases. Make sure you get turrets and at least a shield generator each base, you sometimes get attacked by flood or the AI. Once you have a few bases and have 40+ pop just make 2 scarabs (Quickest way is to build 1 in one base and another in a different base) then just select your 2 scarabs and prophet and then go kill the AI and finish the game. Make sure that the scarabs don't die somehow but I'm sure they won't.
Other Achievements You Can Gain While Doing This One:
- My Virtual Friends Love Me - Just do a 3v3 game.
- Gallivant around the Galaxy - Just do it as part of doing that achievement.
- Playin' the Field - Just do this achievement when you are on the last leader.
- Empire Builder - Counts as completing deathmatch, just do a normal Skirmish Game afterwards.
- Titan - That's another whole guide. Go check out the guides.
- 24 Hours of Quality - Counts as play time :D
