I found the easiest way is to simply put a Wolverine with upgraded dual launchers next to each of the Rhinos, the Wolverines will absolutly destroy anything that comes near the Rhinos

I kept a Scorpion and a Wolverine next to each Rhino. Wolerines rape any air, and Scorpions devastate any ground forces that get too close.

the way i did it was obviously put it on easy and place fully upgraded marines in the towers all around your base then i made an army of scorpions to defend. and you dont need to make sure they dont take damage just make sure they dont die. use healing powers if necesary

Halo Wars :Rhino Hugger Glitch

So long as the ODST & the Rhinos are all safe: you get the achievement. I forgot where I read it but someone mentioned it on another website's xbox achievment forum.

I actually contacted Microsoft on this issue, it took me a couple of months on their part and me not checking my
e-mail faster about it. They informed me there would not be an update for Halo Wars at this time to fix this error. =(

This is a very easy achievement as long as u make scorpions and wolverines and play on Easy difficulty. First of all when the mission starts you'll have like 3 or 4 four squads of marines send one to take the claimable reactor to the left behind your base and send another squad to take the one to the right front of your base
then build 4 supply pads and the a reactor (try to build 3 or 2 turrets with anti infantry upgrades at first to protect your base) ( don't worry about time you just have to protect the rhinos) then upgrade all your supply pads as soon as you get the chance then upgrade your base and build two Vehicle Depots in the first vehicle depot start pumping out wolverines (don't worry about upgrading them yet) in the second vehicle depot make a couple of scorpion (try to make a two to one ratio of wolverines to scorpions) once your max population request a rhino and bring your army along with it to the location. then leave two wolverine in front of it ( to take down banshees) and a scorpion with a spartan controlling it in back of the rhino. and just keep repeating this and as your spreading out the rhinos remember to upgrade your wolverines and scorpions (and once you use all three Spartans just leave a regular scorpion) when you have enough supplies and if you start running low on wolverines just leave one instead of two (especially at the third rhino site and after you upgrade and also sergeant forge will call in for odst to protect each of your rhinos so they'll be pretty well protected) Just remember to heal each of your rhinos and squads around them every once in a while because Covenant will attempt to attack them.

Alright like many of you, I read the other solutions and couldn't figure out what the hell I was doing wrong. First I played the mission on normal, kept all the Rhino's safe and no achievo. Then I played on Legendary and still no achievo. So what the heck is going on?

Well I research a ton of forums and have come up with the fact that this is a glitched achievement. But I've also come up with a solution. The achievement has popped for a few on normal, but the mass majority claimed it can only be unlocked on easy. So I tried it on easy. One of my Rhino's took a little damage, but the achievement did pop for me.

So in conclusion: PLAY THIS LEVEL ON EASY IF YOU WANT THE ACHIEVEMENT!!!! THE ACHIEVEMENT WILL UNLOCK 100% OF THE TIME ON EASY!

I haven't got this achievement just yet, as I'm trying to complete a different game now, but I've seen others do it. As stated by others, The tactic of placing a couple of Wolverines next to each Rhino has proven very successful. If you've not gotten the achievement after trying said tactic, you probably aren't playing the right difficulty. From what I know, you must be playing on Heroic difficulty for the achievement to pop.
