How to unlock the Team effort achievement in Hamster Playground - Definitive Guide

There's a glitch that worked for me. If you put all 4 hamsters to work and then open up the hamsters perks tab at the top and leave it open for 10 minutes, the hamsters stats will not decrease making this achievement easy.

Of course this glitch also means unlimited resources if you AFK

This is THE solution. Works great and means you can still make great AFK progress with levelling and resources thank you

Apparently the glitch solution using the Hamster menu does not work anymore from a patch. From reading other forums, it does sound as other improvements in worktime were made to make this achievement doable legitimately without glitches.

To unlock it as of September 2024 after the fix, you need to have four hamsters that have had all their needs met (sleep, play, food/drink, bathroom) so that all four can work for more than 10 minutes, and have them work at the same time continuously.

The first thing you will need are four hamsters in your house, about 200 total I believe. For ease, I strongly recommend upgrading the six hamster facilities (bed, playground, bathroom, etc.) to the second level. Each costs 100 bolts, for 600 bolts total needed. The upgrade allows two hamsters to use the facilities at the same time to fill their needs, plus improves durability. You'll also want more bolts as a 'buffer', as it takes 5 bolts to repair a facility when its durability runs out.

I'm not certain if you need their stats to be high - the drop in ability seems to occur in real time, going from about 20 to 10 from not playing in a day (boo!). But even with 10 main stat, I had enough time.

The 'Trick' of the achievement is twofold:
  • Max out the needs of your hamster as best as you can.
  • Send them to work at about the same time.
With upgraded facilities, you can have two hamsters sleeping, and two playing. Then swap when they are all done, or move some to the kitchen, then the bathroom to top off their needs. Some of the first needs will drop by the time you've finished the sixth one, but that isn't too big an issue. If a facility breaks, however, you may need to repair it and have the hamsters get back on if they didn't get close to the max.

By having the hamsters happy with all their needs met at the same time, they could work for about twelve minutes. This is more than enough time to unlock the achievement if they start close enough together. You can see how much time they can work before they refuse to continue by moving the cursor over a work area. Use left and right (cn_left, cn_right) on the D-Pad to swap between hamsters to ensure you'll have over ten minutes available to work for all four.

Idle for ten minutes when all 4 are working. Leave the controller alone so you don't accidentally make a hamster move away from work. The achievement should unlock at the ten-minute mark (barring Xbox server issues). In my case, I still had 2 minutes worth of work for the hamsters when it unlocked, so there's plenty of leeway.
