How to unlock the Stuffed Potato achievement in Hand of Fate 2 - Definitive Guide
Oh boy, this one is a pain.
The lovers challenge is a fairly early game challenge where you have to escort Oswin to the final boss.
He has 100 health, and takes damage like a normal companion. That said, he tries to avoid battle where possible.
The goal here is to reach, and beat, the final boss with Oswin on 100 health.
You'll be rolling a lot of chance gambits as Oswin keeps getting captured, so any gear that decreases the difficulty of these will be appreciated. Additionally, food is king, so any cards you have that have the gain food tag will be appreciated.
Your goal here? Simply make it to the boss with 20-ish food. Make sure to go out of your way to protect Oswin on the way, and keep one of your artifacts for the boss fight.
Make your way through the challenge like normal until you reach the final boss. Once there, set up camp and stuff Oswin full of food until his health is at 100. Now you just need to enter the boss fight, and beat it without him getting hit.
This is where your artifact comes in use. Throw it into the first pile of enemies to the side of the boss to either defeat them or convert them on your side (depending on which one you have). Make an effort to kill off all the skeletons, then you can focus the boss down for victory.
Any number of things can happen during this battle to hurt Oswin. On more than one occasion I had one of the close spawning skeletons start with a ranged weapon and immediately throw it at him. If this happens, you can make use of a trick that was also present in the first game: Quit out through the dashboard while the fight is still active. When you open the game again you'll be reverted back to before the fight and can try again.
The boss generally won't target Oswin, so once the skeletons are down you'll be free to finish her off.
The achievement won't pop until the board is complete after the fight, so don't panic!

I just wanted to second that this achievement isn't hard so much as maddening. I still haven't gotten it, because just as I was racing toward the last skeleton during the final battle, he nicked idiot Oswin with his sword as he died. I wanted to scream.

Just got this on my first try in Apprentice Mode.
1) Make sure he’s at 100 before going into the fight
2) Have a good Artefact to take out most skelly’s in one shot at the very beginning - IE Heroes Call or Holy Purification
3) Scooped up remaining skeletons before downing the boss. Used weapon charge on the boss and the fight was over in 15 secs. Don’t think Oswin even moved.

Thomas can be treated with food while resting, so if he's full of it, it's not a problem. The problem is the final battle, where he can be hit and cannot be cured in any way. And the most unpleasant boss, who just stands still and drains life from his ally if you don’t knock him down, which is greatly hampered by skeletons. Preferably artifacts for quickly destroying skeletons, then the boss can be stopped from doing anything. And this would even be difficult if it weren’t for the completely cheating loophole that any battle or gambit can be replayed simply by leaving the game. And after loading, you will find yourself right in front of the map you came from. The main thing to note is that if a teammate received damage from the boss, it may not be visible on the bar. It was in vain that the developers made checkpoints at the levels, the game became much easier.
