How to unlock the The Elder Lizard achievement in Hand of Fate - Definitive Guide

After completing the card "Trial by Combat", you'll unlock the card " The Elder Lizard".

The Elder Lizard card doesn't offer any token for completition, but it does offer this beautiful achievement!

All you simply must do is have metal ore on you before you land on "The Elder Lizard". Failing to have any more results in no trading with her, and in turn no achievement.

A good card for obtaining ore (and for Unlocking the very lucky/ very unlucky achievements) is the "Sunken Treasure" card. You unlock this card from either defeating the Kraken or talking to the Ghost of the Sea once you've defeated the Kraken. This card gives you a handful of chances to find ore among other things (I mean a handful of chances!)

Interestingly I just unlocked this after completing Trial by Combat. Presumably this is a bug, but just thought I would mention it!

Also, in regards to the Trial by Combat last challenge, I just spammed the shield block and kept facing the nearest lizard to complete this one easily.

You have to trade ore with the elder lizard to get this trophy. See spoiler how to unlock the elder lizard event.

See the Kraken Master for how to unlock the Meet The Highbinder" encounter. Meet The Highbinder will unlock The Land Locked Lubber 3.

The Land Locked Lubber 3
The event simply gives you the Acquire card's token, unlocking "The Kraken Cult"


The Kraken Cult
A) get closer - Success 3X
A1) get closer - success 1x = End the encounter. Failure 3x = A2
A2 a) Aid the Lizardmen = Acquire card's token and unlocking "Trial by Combat "
A2 b) Refuse = Draw 1 pain card


B) Turn around = end encounter.


Trial by Combat
A) Enter = Draw 1 monster card. Get a 30 streak combo and live. Acquire card's token and unlocking "The Elder Lizard "
B) Leave = End encounter

When you beat the Kraken you, will get a mask and from the token you will get a blade. Equip them at the same time to get this trophy.

The Elder Lizard
If you don't have ore then nothing happens.

If you have ore
A) Give the Elder Lizard your ore = Draw 4 gain cards. *Trophy pops here*
B) Keep your ore. = End encounter

Before going to the "Lizard Elder" you need to find "Metal Ore".

Personally, I don’t have this “elder lizard” card in my deck and doesn’t appear in endless mode...

UPD: you need to progress through the plot of killing the kraken.
