How to unlock the Diversity achievement in Happy Dungeons - Definitive Guide

According to the official happy dungeons website the awakening materials required to upgrade your weapons can only be found in the infinite dungeon. So once you max out your items level you will have to play infinite dungeon to get the required materials. I personally have not found any of these yet but, they should appear as a toolbox looking item and show up under the ring (accesory) items in the menus after you pick them up in game.

https://www.happydungeons.net/news/info/754/

According to ThaDevilzhand, the gold chest on leven 25 seems to have a better drop rate then other locations (possibly just luck though)

Thanks to steamboat wi11y for the following: just to add to your guide, when farming these on B2 chest (behind the breakable wall) do the following;
Start the dungeon (preferably solo),
Run and break the wall, ignore enemies,
Pop the chest, check drops,
If you do not get a toolbox, jump off the side of the map, quit and restart.
Takes about a minute. If you get a drop you want, finish the dungeon.

On a side note: might be quicker to exit the dungeon and restart via the menu option?

What I've been picking up looks like a toolbox icon when they drop but yes they are stored in the ring accessory area of your items. I've yet to find even one that I can actually use on any of my gear just thiefs bags and mana stones so far.

Seems like you don't need a max level item either, just got a drop called Awakening Armor Pro which is 7/70 and if I had the mats I could awaken it there and then.

yesterday i was only able to get the smallest stones from both chests i mentioned, but today i already got a top-tier tire (lvl 3 rarity) from floor 25, and a mushroom (lvl 2 rarity) from floor 2. so im guessing and hoping that the ingots (lvl 2 rarity) can be gotten from floor 2 also, as it is the fastest to run through or restart if a drop is bad.

I've run through 1 to 11 several times, and it seems this can only be found in any chest, but luckily the chest locations are static/don't change. Sometimes I'd get 2 minor ones, sometimes none, but for the most part I haven't seen anything above the stones (ie shock, mana, invigorating).

The Goblin Leader in lvl 5 sometimes drops a toolbox too. Got a silver one from him once, so i guess the ingots are in a golden box. In the silver box was a mushroom thingy, that i could not use of course. I hate this game. roll facepalm

Also, the non elemental awakening items (mana stones, etc) are for the starting equipment upgrades, which i believe is a rare drop now. Only seen these dropped from insane dungeons. Post drop, they will have a rare icon (small star) and be level 1 and show up in the awakening menu.

what might help is boosting the luck of all your minions to 10 by leveling them up with the SAME named minion (can also be done on maxed out minions, but they will only gain more luck, not levels) i noticed a difference right away, and was able to get 2 awaken materials and 1 rare material gear in one run on my first (and only) try! i just havent had time to really farm like this yet...
PS. story mission 4-3 gives shitloads of minions!

@FINezula I don't believe the luck on the minions affect the likelihood of obtaining awakening materials I've tested it with luck at max (10) and out of ten runs no awakening materials. Maybe coincidence...

I contacted happy dungeons about the ingot issue and asked them if they can confirm that ingots are currently obtainable and this was my reply.

Thank you for contacting Happy Dungeons Support.
Will the ongoing development and updates of the new Infinite Dungeon, we cannot clearly say which items are currently available or not.
We will give feedback about the lack of Ingots in the dungeon to the development team.

ohhhh so there just might be a problem with it? i was just starting to think their drop rate along with the tier 3 rare awaken materials, was like 0.01% so you would have to play the game for years to grind those for all your awakenable gear!

what if the one guy saved his starting gear and was able to awaken them WITHOUT ingots!? ;) i heard this only requires stuff like mana stones etc. which people actually HAVE reported seeing... but i cant try it out since i have sold my own starting gear that was evolvable (at least from what ive heard)

How do you know the starter gear is awakenable with only stones and no Ingots? 1 guy has the achievement.. Did he tell you?

By WheresUrH3ad on 21 Dec 2016 02:29
no i dont know that for a fact. i tried asking him about it, but he very vaguely pretty much just said "gold chest in B2 just get lucky". i dont know what dropped for him, so that he was able to awaken whatever he had available. but since the game is very early progress, im starting to think things like maybe theres a glitch, or theyre holding off the ignots for a reason or something. cos nobody else still has this achievement, and i have not still seen a single person on the internet tell or show that they found a damn ingot! >_<
PS. if you want, i guess you could make a new gamertag, start the game, and go straight to awaken menu when it opens, and see what can be awakened, and with what materials...

By tmw666 on 21 Dec 2016 09:52
exactly! if you dont have the starting gear anymore you might be out of luck, until a patch comes out that fixes these drops, or they add ingots (or more infinite dungeons with them as drops) later, or if someone finally finds one and posts any kind of proof that one even actually exists yet in the game. by the way i even got that starting sword as a rare drop once and immediately checked, and didnt see it in the awaken list. but if you find any, do check them!!

IMPORTANT UPDATE: the game just had a patch, and there is also a new dungeon with incredible loot. i got 5 awaken materials (including an ingot) and 5 rare materials in one run! this achievement is now easily obtainable, because i even got an ingot to drop from a big enemy in floors 1-10, so no need to do the hardest levels 30-45 if you dont want to!

No. I played the new infinite dungeon and got a silver and a gold toolbox. IMPORTANT NOTE: I´ve only found one golden chest but no toolbox in it. But everytime you have a sub quest ( don´t know the lvl) DO IT - than you can fight a subboss who may drop a toolbox. Don´t know if i just got lucky or not - took me only 2 runs.

Sub boss is in the second room if you clear out the 1st room thats the sub quest. You have to attack the pillars to get to the spear chuckers.

I've run it twice now and got an awakening item each time. A Banshee's scream which doesn't appear to do anything , just like thiefs bags. I got 5 legendary items per run too all of which can be awakened.

@ schnitzelspitzl was the gold chest you mentioned in the room you had to find the door in with the swinging axes towards the end room 40 or 41 maybe?

I've awakened an armor piece that I had, and it can be awakened again. I have five different choices, each offering a level 9 protection for the different enemy types. Thief's Bag is used for one of those. I'm not sure about Banshee's Scream, but maybe it's used for the second awakening of a weapon to get Undead Killer level 9.

Finally got enough to do one item now, ingots were very rare compared to stones. In the end I set to farming the chest on B25 if this didn't have an item the boss nearly always dropped one. I found the drop rate from the chest in B2 was far to low to make it worth my time.

@iMauri Jr I 17 I got mine on the last area you can select, but I can't remember exactly what dropped it. It was either a boss or a big enemy like the tubby zombie. The tool boxes that are potentially an ingot kinda look like the normal tool box, but the handles will be purplish.

I already got this achievement with out worrying about the items, just play the last area 30 to 45 there you will get a lot of materials, complete all the sub quest, search every room and kill everyone. You will get items with level 7 buffs and items to use to level up items. If someone needs feel free to add me.

The event dungeon which started today [2017-03-10] and runs for another 10 days has more easily awakenable items available. You need to grind Punishment Points through defeating a single Boss. The items can be selected as the reward for getting each level of PP.

The first item is one of 3 different types of "Cloak -1" and uses "Matador Shield" as the awakening material. To awaken the Cloak you need to raise it to level 50, use 10 Matador Shields as the material, and pay 50K Happy Stars. One can also use 15 Matador Shields to awaken it as one of the 3 different types of "Cloak -1" item.

Hi. I came here to say what BRiT wtfdotcom has said in the post above me. I played the level 3 mission once, the level 5 mission once, and the level 15 mission seven times (don't worry, they're super short), raised the "Crimson Robe -1" to level 50 and then awakened it with 10 of the 12 Matador Shields I had by this stage. I already had around 10 Finest Ore before I started, but you can also get these as loot from the boss on the level 15 event mission. The whole upgrading process cost me about 150k Happy stars, but could have been done cheaper.

I've gotten four materials; Villain's Love, Stone of Mana, and two Invigorating Stones. I don't know where I got my first one, but the other three I got from a gold chest. Those three all came from the gold chest that's on floor 25, so I don't know if it was just random luck that they all came from that one or if that chest just has a better drop chance or something.

i have just started farming both 2nd floor chest and the 25th floor one. so far only smaller stones for me from both, but i asked the only gamer with this achievement how he got it, and he just said "gold chest in B2 and just get lucky" so i dont even know if the chest in 2nd floor can drop higher rarity awaken mats... well anyways, both runs are pretty fast and you can restart if u dont get a toolbox drop, but can it really take 100+ runs like for this one guy iMauri Jr??

I think the luck only determines whether or not your minion "finds" you an item. At the item screen if they find anything it appears at the top of the list with like a green minion symbol to the right of it.

The most recent update increased drop rates for awakening materials through out the infinite dungeon. I have received stones from medium enemies (goblins with bucket helms, zombies with single sword in their heads), ingots from chests and strong enemies (bigger goblin with shield and sword, and zombie with three swords in its head) and rare Moon materials from mini boss (mini Ogres and Chubby Zombies). I have received these drops on multiple floors not just the newest areas. I have gotten 3 moon quality drops from the smaller chubby zombie in the 31-45 dungeon in about 6 runs.

Minion luck determines how often they find an item, does not increase player odds. I have read that minions actually lower the odds of finding rare drops.
@ThaDevilzHand - Yes according to the devs the initial starting gear you had at level 1, can be awakened. It supposedly upgrades to the newest tier gear role out. It is what the character models are wearing in the home screen. Above "moon" rarity is what i gathered.

Also in regards to the exit dungeon option, be careful sometimes quitting will get you a warning then a temp ban.

@schnitzelspitzl - I have not seen any increased drop rates playing solo vs 4 player. Though all the drops are linked. For example, when you see a purple sword drop, so does everyone else in the dungeon with you, but i have not noticed better drops with 4 players. Just higher difficulties such as insane.

Since this game is shutting down and I just got this achievement today, I thought I'd describe how I got this pretty easily. All of the other solutions give some great and valid tips. However, one thing I might add is that if you buy starter equipment from the jewel store (only costs 30 jewels), the items will already have the level requirement out of the way. Also, each starter item only needs 3 of the most common awakening items. The jewel store cycles it's inventory every so often (if someone can confirm when that would be great), so you need to catch the starter items when they are on sale. I farmed the infinite dungeon using steamboat wi11y's tip: by farming the B2 chest. If I got an awakening item, I ran through to level 11 and quit. If I did not find an item, I quit out to the main menu. The items should drop rather often. I hope this helps people get this done quickly!

Do you want to upgrade your items?
Here a quick method to unlock it.

You can find the rare metals you need to upgrade your items in THE INFINITE DUNGEON.
First of all go to SHOP - RARE METALS and in the EQUIPMENT ITEMS buy a ROOKIE KNIGHTS STAFF.

Now go to find the rare metals you need - Go to THE INFINITE DUNGEON - choose ZONE B1 - B11
The fastest way is to continue opening the strongbox (it is just behind the wall with a big X) until you find the rare metals - STONE OF MANA

When you obtain this rare metal required you upgrade the weapons you have chosen to the maximum level. In this case level 50, so go to AWAKENED ITEMS - pay 50k and you will unlock the trophy DIVERSITY

found this on pstrophies seems staightforward not my guide You must be level 20 before you are given the ability to Awaken Items. Awakening an item is where you fuse materials with you max level equipment to give it new powers. To begin, go to the Customize section on the main menu and then select Smithy. Under that section, go to the Awaken section to see if you have weapons/armors/accessories that able to be awakened. Select them to see what is required of them to be awoken material wise.

To find materials, at least as of this moment, you must play the middle areas of the Infinite Dungeon. While I was able to get 1-2 playing through the Glutton's Gallows section (31-45), the majority of them start showing up and in larger quantities in the last two areas (Sexy Prison Cell & Angry Confession Room). Keep in mind these areas are harder and will require you to be a higher level with strong equipment and probably a good amount of gems to continue with as they will probably be needed. You will need to keep replaying them over and over until you collect the items you need to upgrade your item.

Once you have all the materials you need to awaken an item, return to the Smithy and choose to awaken it. Once he does it and the item has been awoken, the trophy will pop.

NOTE: For an easier way of doing this, do not sell your rookie items as these will make for easy awakening items (if you did sell them, you can rebuy them for 1 rare metal in the shop). To get Stone Of Mana material required to awaken them, play the Gate Of The Jealousy Of Light section and on B2, destroy the X wall by the second switch the find a golden chest. Open it and look at the items you collect from it to see if the Stone Of Mana was one of them. If it wasn't, then exit the game and then retry. Keep trying until you get it, then go about leveling up the item to level 50 and awaken it when possible. (Thanks to rpg49ers for the tip!)

The easiest and cheapest way to awaken an item:
1. We need an awakening item (all items that can be purchased with Rare Metal can be awakened).
Shop tab > Rare Metal Shop > Equipment Items. I bought 1 of the last 3, no difference, the resources are the same.
To get this Rare Metal you need to sell an item with a larger star or moon Customize > Smithy > Sell Items.
2. The item is awakened in Customize > Smithy > Awaken Item (all items that can be awakened are displayed here).
To awaken, you need to pump the required item to the maximum and have the necessary resources. The most resources drop in the dungeon Quest > The Infinite Dungeon > Zone Select > B31 Glutton's Gallows, where you need to go 15 floors to the next checkpoint. The three of us went through, we were lvl 34-36, we didn’t go any further. During 1 run, about 5 different necessary resources are displayed in the form of boxes.

PS. I can’t say exactly where I knocked out 3 gray heaters to awaken that weapon with a small star because I was looking for resources to awaken with a larger star, and having bought this one I already had them. But in story mode, I didn’t see anything falling to awaken.
