It will not allow me to add any guest. There's 3 boxes that say "You can join" but they're greeted out and don't respond to the 2nd controller at all. What am I doing wrong?

I had mine greyed out, and thought maybe I needed the controller signed out first, I pushed B and all the sudden it let me add players (local)

For this trophy you need to have two or more people in your party before starting a mission and then have at least two of them still be alive when you finish it. This is extremely easy to do as of right now with a lot of people playing, especially in the lower levels, so finding partners shouldn't be that difficult. You can also use offline players with multiple controllers as well if you want. Once you finish a mission with at least two people finishing it, the trophy will pop after the results screen.
