If you want to get this out of the way early level 1-4 Treasure Trove has a tonne of smashables.
I explored all the rooms and got around 25% progress towards this in one run.

If you want to speed it up further, use the Mage class with a lightning weapon and spray those poor boxes from afar.

For this achievement you need to destroy a total of 1000 barrels, pots and/or mushrooms.
You can just play the game and destroy what you see in your way or play chapter 1 part 4 (Treasure Trove) you can get up to 30% in one go
