How to unlock the The Unbearable Lightness of the Dungeon achievement in Happy Dungeons - Definitive Guide

There are two ways that you can go about getting this simple but tedious achievement. You can play the game legitimately and get this on your way to rank 50, which will take much longer than 100 hours.

However, if you want the set of time played achievements quickly, the method that you can use for each of the play 10 hours as the three classes achievements works here as well. When you finish a level, rather than go through the door and seeing your rewards from the level, just let it sit. The timer will have stopped at this point, but the game will continue counting the time spent for these achievements. Do this for just over four days and you will have "played" for over 100 hours.

Note: You must finish the level for this time to count. You won't make any progress if you do not go through the final door after you are done idling.

I'd also like to note that this does not work with the Prologue as the timer does not stop at the end and if you lose connection at any time, the hours will be lost. There were two nights when I lost connection at some point and reconnected. When I came on in the morning and exited the level the time did not get saved.

Not sure if this works anymore. I've tried a couple times and both times I was back at the menu. No negative vote here since I know it used to work ;)

C4RM1N3, what exactly were you doing? You might have been doing something wrong, so it didn't work because of that, or it might not work on all levels other than the prologue like before.

Can confirm it works , I idled a fair chunk of the last 50 hours for it. Maybe lost connection to live/servers messed you up ? Or I think if you have multiple pads connected the clock keeps ticking? I'll double check that later when I'm running infection with spare pads.

I was just letting the game idle before going through the final gate and after I had killed the boss. I was using 2-4. Maybe I'll switch up levels and try again. Usually my net is pretty solid though so I don't think it was that.

Yeah, that should have worked then. It might have just not worked for you that one time, so you should try again to see if it really doesn't work or if it was just a one time thing.

Still puts me back at the menu :(. Does it have to be with a wired controller? Am I missing something stupid here? Lol

Does the timer stop for you C4RM1N3 V? The timer has sometimes kept ticking for me. I just restarted the game and then the timer would stop before the exit appears. You can use a wireless controller and turn it off right when you're done. The only time this hasn't worked for me was when this last update was released in the middle of idling and it wouldn't save my 20+ hours...

you can use others to get this, my main is the warrior with 30 hours and then i decided to use my mage and idled 2+ hours and they added to the 50, 75, 100 hour achievement trackers, even though the warrior has the most time.

After about 20 to 30 minutes my controller gets disconnected. Does the time still accumulate when it says reconnect controller?
I don’t get kicked from game?

Can anyone confirm this works as of today? I tried it as stated and it didn’t work. About 10 days before the game “ends” too. Thanks! Update/Edited: for all still trying to get this, I tried it again and does still works as of June 8th 2019!

I think this has to be 100 hours with one character class, boosted just fine for my warrior, but the tracker made no progress when I did it for my cleric while going for that achievement. The tracker also reflects the number of hours played on my warrior (class with the most time played on it).

This will more than likely be the last trophy you get since you should be able to get the rest of them before you reach the requirements for this one. The crappy part about this trophy is that while it requires you to play the game for 100 hours, the game only counts you as "playing it" is when you are doing story mode stages or the infinite dungeon and actually playing when the timer is going. The other bad part is that it doesn't count your time if you fail a mission, only if you complete it successfully.

The workaround I have found for this is to create a session in the infinite dungeon and pick any of the areas from Greedy Pig's Room (B11) or lower on the list (make sure that you are alone when playing and no one else joins in or else they can screw this up). When you start off those areas you will be put in a room with a rope/elevator exit in them. Each of them has a 45 minute time limit, so start it up and let the timer get down to a minute or so and then exit out via the rope or elevator. When the results screen comes up, it will count as a successful mission and count towards your overall time. This is also an easy way to get the character related time trophies as well as you can just select a different character each time you do. Just keep rinsing and repeating those steps and once you reach 100 hours, the trophy will pop.

NOTE: There is another, easier method to getting the 100 hours required. Just complete any quest and when you finish it, the timer for the stage will stop counting down. Once it does, just have your character stand around instead of going through the final door as it the play time counter will still be going up. When you are ready, just exit through the final door and you will see that however long you were standing there will have counted towards your overall play time. (Thanks to rpg49ers for the tip!)

Time can be boosted, for example in charted 5, the last line there gives 1 hour, the main thing is to finish the level before the end of time and again. The only time that is included in the statistics is the time that the timer will report if the exit time is not protected and if the last boss is killed the timer will stop.
