go to the "Character" tab at the top and then go to "Item Remodeling." From here you can add a buff, store a buff, or remove a buff.
simply remove a buff from a item you do not need and add it to any desired item.

didn't work for me, anyone else have a problem with it? tried two different weapons, tried removing a buff and then adding one.

Worked for me. Removed a buff from one piece and added it to a different piece. Popped right away.
