How to unlock the World's Fair achievement in Happy Wars - Definitive Guide
For this achievement you must have 500 items on hand in order to unlock the achievement. That means that while going for this, you should not be selling items, or destroying them as that will hinder your progress. Progress for this achievement can be earned by purchasing items in Happy Card Lite.
Surprisingly in skirmish mode (which can be played against easy bots) you can earn item boxes. On the coral map it takes about 1 minute 45 seconds to complete a match and earn an item. Although in skirmish mode you gain almost no happy stars and no rank. The items in the boxes are also the same as if you were playing real matches. So an item box level 5 will yield a chance for good reward. If you do not wish to play 500 skirmish matches for this achievement, 500 items from Happy Cards Lite would cost 450,000 Happy Stars.

Before going for this achievement - go for Treasure map bonus almost EVERY day.

Does anyone know if using the item wheel in the 360 version contributes to this? For example, load up the 360 game, spend stars, get items, load up One version?

This requires you to have 500 items (swords, armor, etc) in your inventory at one time. If you sell or use an item to either upgrade or remove a buff, then this will take away from the total count.

I know K1llerM0nkey, it should say "Have" 500 items, not "Get". This one could be tough if you consistently use up items. I'm going to try and get this achievement out of the way first. Least this has tracking count for Xbox One. I have about 300 to go...

Hey guys!
So the guides above are certainly helpful, but here's something that I wanted to share for those who only care about getting the achievement, and possibly don't plan on playing this again after completing all the achievements. If you've been boosting the game, or played legit back in the day and are getting back in, this might help.
NOTE: This achievement REQUIRES you to have 500 items at once, selling items will reduce the counter. Also, stripping Buffs without a hammer destroys the items.
A Few Things to keep in mind before reading the solution:
1. If you're boosting, I suggest setting up your cleric with buffs and equipment to max AP and regen, and resurrect+.
2. If you need Battle Master, any skills you need, make sure you have weapons that sell for cheap (200-400 stars) that have the ability.
3. This is more of a personal preference, but Warrior seems to be the strongest and easiest to play, and if you're playing legit still here and there or whatever, I suggest you use this as your main class and level/buff the items and equipment and solely focus on this class.
4. THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT. Be realistic with yourself. I in no means want to offend anyone that enjoys the game or tends to go back and try things, but really think about if you're gonna return to this game beyond the completion or continue to play... And also the odds that this won't shut down in the next year or so anyway. The reason im pointing this out, is that any items you think look cool on your character but you may not use, or, alternate weapons with different buffs or that you want to level up... You'd be better off selling them if they are a part of the requirements outlined below.
5. I would recommend that you boost, get stars and items, play Skirmish matches to get a couple items if you're bored etc, before doing this. If you're anxious to just tick it off or get to levelling and buffing weapon achievements which SHOULD WAIT until after you have this, then this solution will help get ahead.
Solution
First and foremost. DO NOT GET RID OF ANY ITEMS that sell for less than 900 stars. Don't remove buffs without pincers, don't sell them, don't use them for levelling, etc. These are your golden ride to this achievement.
Secondly, don't be attached to any items minus what you actually need for boosting or your levelled/good gear that you're going to keep equipped 99% of the time. Anything else is disposable.
Thirdly, spend all your stars on you on Happy Cards Lite x10, and pick weapons. Reason for this is the weapons tend to be more valuable than armor and whatnot, and it's also on the first screen.
Once you're bankrupt, sell anything 900 Gold and Over that you have minus what you have equipped or absolutely need for boosting (once again, if you need a skill for Battle Master or for boosting check lower value items, if you have it on a rusty stick, you don't need that shiny sword anymore). 9/10 you'll have a ton of items worth 3000 stars, and some 10k+
So basically, you can sell 3 items for 3k each (9k total), and buy 10 items from Happy Cards Lite x10. [A gain of 7 items]. Heck, you may get lucky, selling 10 items for 10k each (100k) and buy 11 packs for 110 items. -10 for +110 for a net gain of 100 items.
Keep doing this till you're either bankrupt again, or until you get the achievement.
After that, move onto the buffing and item level up achievements (Remember, if you level and item 3 times in one upgrade, it only counts as 1 level up out of 100. So do each level 1 at a time.)

This solution i've just tested speeds this process up quite a bit if you have the ability to do this. this involves buying and selling items in the shop/inventory.
: acquire a few items from in game loot/daily login(e.g fabled ore)
: Sell 3 items worth 3000 coins each= 9000 coins
: buy happy cards lite x10
: repeat
(note). don't sell more than 10 items to get 9000 or you will end up with less than when you started.
doing this will also get you the selling 100 items achievement
