How to unlock the Mega Streaker achievement in Hardwood Backgammon - Definitive Guide
The best solution to do this quick and easy.
1-Find a boosting partner.
2-Host the game each time.
3-Play the double dice and the other person must refuse. This will count for a lose for him and a win for you.
Hope this helped.

Doesn't work anymore.

As the description says, you can earn this achievement while playing online or in single player mode. At first, I thought I could do it in single player mode, but I got lazy and stopped paying attention around game 15, at which point I would do something stupid and lose. Then I decided to try to boost and win a bunch of games by trading 25 wins with a friend. We tried speeding it up by using the doubling cube, but that didn't work. My guess is that Silver Creek Entertainment issued a patch that prevents it. So, I went back to single player mode and actually paid attention for 25 games... I found that beating the Easy AI (when paying attention) got me 25 wins easily.
Well I'm not sure what has changed, but I have just completed 50 games online using the doubling cube method. 2 of us hosted 25 games each with the host winning 25 then swapping round. Both got our mega streaker achievement dead on 25 wins. Did nothing more than create match as follows:
Player Match
Match Points - 1
Doubling Cube - Yes (obviously)
Turn Timer - Off
It worked for 2 of us, so no reason to think won't work for anyone else

I can confirm that this works and it worked for both me and my boosting partner. I should add that in both of our 25 streaks that we accidentally accepted the doubling cube once and had to play a full game. Whether this affected the achievement popping or not I don't know.

Still works as of 2019. We both hosted as we were winning, and made sure to just waste our turns if the game randomly selected the one losing to go first.

From my experience:
I read and used the methods described in the other solutions and none of them would work for me, although all of the other 11 achievements unlocked without any problems through boosting with my second xbox including this one:
Here are the methods I used that didn't work:
- 25 Consecutive Wins in Private Matches (with and then without the Double Cube Method).
- 25 Consecutive Wins in Player Matches (with and then without the Double Cube Method).
- 25 Consecutive Wins in Ranked Matches.
- 25 Consecutive Wins in Single Player VS Easy A.I. (without the Double Cube, but with the Update downloaded)
So as you can imagine, I wasted a hell of a lot of time grinding these long boring matches out all for nothing! The patch that was released for the game I imagine was to stop Wins counting for players/boosters using the Double Cube method. I think this patch messed up this achievement and made it unobtainable if you download the update (for me anyway!).
So after deleting and downloading the game again, clearing my cache, deleting my profile (profile only!) and recovering it again, I decided to take a shot at the achievement offline after not accepting the update. These steps might not be necessary apart from not accepting the update, but after spending all day winning matches for nothing, I wanted to be extra safe!
Then I played 25 single player matches against easy A.I. with the Double Cube option set to 'no', and finally the achievement popped! Even when I was about to lose matches, I would just exit back to the dashboard rather then quitting to the main menu, so obviously this didn't effect my streak.
This method should work for anyone else having trouble with this achievement and I hope it does, please leave a comment if there are any questions and I will try my best to answer them and help.

I tried boosting this with the doubling cube in ranked matches, but it didn't work. After that I tried it with player matches, since other players interfered. After 25 doubled wins I had it. The advantage: You save some seconds because you can immediately play against the same player after you completed a match.
Probably they added some "doubling cube win" rules to ranked matches in order to prevent boosted rankings.
I did this today, so it works with the newest patch, and I guess there won't be another.

This achievement is very glitchy so I felt I should share my experience so those trying to get it don't think they are forced to play 25 single player games like the other solution says. Yes, it is possible to get it playing single player, but it also takes much longer than to simply boost for it.
I originally boosted for this achievement with another person, and I've since helped another person get this, and the three of us all got this achievement at different times. The description for this achievement isn't accurate in that it rarely unlocks after simply getting 25 straight wins, at least not if you are trying to boost for it.
The way I personally got this achievement was when I was boosting for the 100 games played achievement (using the doubling cube method in a non-ranked match), this one finally popped up after around 70 straight wins, but before I got the 100 games played achievement. The partner I was boosting with said his didn't unlock until after he got the 100 games played achievement.
I recently helped another person get this achievement, and a game update had been released since I originally got it, so the previous methods may no longer work. On this occasion we literally tried everything including him winning around 200 straight games, tried playing ranked matches, tried restarting the game, tried him quitting out to the dashboard, purposely had him lose to restart the counter in case it somehow screwed up, and he even tried winning one in single player followed by 24 boosted wins, all with no luck. Finally, he said "Maybe I have to host it?" We tried that and it unlocked after 25 wins, so the person who needs the achievement hosting may be the key. Also, quitting out does not appear to affect the streak. Hope this helps anyone having trouble unlocking this glitchy achievement.

Alright, so I just had to make my first post on True Achievements, so that future seekers of this achievement can potentially avoid massive headaches. So I boosted this and other Hardwood Backgammon achievements yesterday. Every other other achievement besides this one my boosting partner and I were able to get through player matches/single player. Use the doubling cube as mentioned above for quick wins. I finally got this achievement (Mega Streaker) after I switched from being host of the match. So just to clarify, you can get this achievement in player matches, but if you are the host and you've won 25 straight and its not activated, switch and have your boosting partner host. Continue to win with this arrangement and hopefully you'll get this achievement. I got mine after 20 wins in this different set up.

This helped. I won about 50 games straight as the host then when I switched to not being the host, this unlocked at exactly 25.

I can confirm this is correct too. I got my 25 as host, then my boosting buddy did not get it as host. I switched to be host again and it popped for him on 25, thankfully no time wasted as it was all within the 100 games.

This achievement I believe to be rather glitchy! If you have this game and want to get this achievement DO NOT accept the update for this game. You'll need to play it offline.
Play the AI set to easy and don't allow double dice either for some reason this won't net you the achievement. If you find the AI to be winning just quit out to the dashboard and then re-enter the game. Remember not to accept the update.
Since you can't check how many games you've currently played. Try and get this achievement when going for 100 games played.
I played well over 35 games in one sitting, remembering to go back to dash everytime the AI was going to win and then suddenly..
100 games popped and 25 games in a row popped. I personally think after all the updates (I updated my game a few times but not the last one) something broke the 25 wins.
I give credit to Dat Boi Treezy for his guide because it helped me out partly.

The best way to do this is to do it offline cause you we never get it online i boosted 250+ wins and never got it
Using the rules outlined in “Backgammon Veteran” you need to win twenty five games in a row. The easiest way to do this is through boosting with a friend using the doubling cube, but it can also be done legitimately as well.
