How to unlock the Snake Slayer achievement in Harry Potter for Kinect - Definitive Guide

This level contains three rather easy and short parts:
1) Throwing: The snake is slowly getting closer to you, so you have all the time you need to defeat it. Simply throw rocks at it with your arm with either an upward or downward motion. Personally I found the upward motion to be more precise and effective, but it may be a matter of taste. The game seems to rate accuracy, so try to aim carefully instead of throwing rocks in a hurry.
2) Avoiding: You need to avoid the snake by leaning either left or right. Keep your eyes on the snake's head, and see if its nose is pointing left or right. Move on one side as it is about to begin an attack, you'll get the proper rhythm in no time. Sometimes the snake's head appear to be centered; in such a case, I leaned to the same side as for the previous attack and it usually worked.
3) Sword: Quick and easy. Once the snake gets close to your sword, wave with your arm to perform an attack. The trick is to avoid trying to hit it too early. In such a case you are allowed to swing your sword a second time, but your score will suffer greatly (and you will likely have missed this achievement).

I can't do the sword... no matter what I do I score like 40 or just fail

This mingame is the fourth of year 7 and is the is probably the shortest minigame so far. For the first part throw the rocks as fast as you can at Nagini's head, next dodge the snakes attacks by just hopping from left to right and avoid the center, you can tell which way Nagini will strike because he will tilt his head that way. Next use your dominant hand to hit Nagini with the sword as soon as you can, this will affect your score so make sure to move your arm towards the snake as soon as possible.
