The Roderick Plumpton’s Protégé achievement can be unlocked as soon as you have unlocked the Seeker role, and does not need to be done in an online match.

Once the match has started, play and wait until you get the prompt that the Snitch is being released. Once it has been released, press Down on the D-Pad and select the Seeker role. Your 120 second timer starts as soon as the Snitch is released, so you’ll want to swap to a Seeker as soon as possible. Locate the Snitch by looking around for the golden trail it leaves, and once you find it use RT to chase after it, flying through as many golden rings you can to replenish your boost. Use your boost with LT, and stay on the Snitch using X to make sharp turns. Once you have been close enough to the Snitch for long enough, you can use A to catch the Snitch.

If you’ve completed this in under 2 minutes since the Snitch was released, you should unlock the Roderick Plumpton’s Protégé achievement!
