I got this one playing Remix mode and did not find it too difficult.
My biggest tip is to always hit A+B after everything, especially after just winning because sometimes you're dealt a good hand right away.
Other than that, just keep playing, grouping your color cards together whenever possible. Keep an eye on the timer. If it's getting low, try and set yourself up for something else.
