How to unlock the Dodo achievement in Headbangers: Rhythm Royale - Definitive Guide

Hello, and welcome to the final challenge card! Below I will list all requirements, which round each minigame is, and any applicable advice.

NOTE: if you want to boost with someone or get matched against bots, then select Asia as your region and turn off crossplay.

1. Win 20 tournaments - self explanatory

2. Play 200 games - all you need to do is load into round 1 and it will count. If this is your last challenge, just start a game and fail immediately.

3. Achieve the 1st place in a bonus round 10 times - self explanatory

4. Unlock 10 full costumes - self explanatory

5. Make no mistakes during a game of run pigeon run - this is a round 1 minigame. Some of the levels are easier than others but just stick with it and ignore the items and bonus round stuff and you will get it with some practice.

6. Get an average response time of 0.450s or less in Yes Commander - this is a round 1 minigame and is CHEESABLE. As long as you get 1 correct answer you can just press any button as quick as you can to reduce your lives and you can just eliminate yourself. This is how I did it for the last challenge card, I just hit A as soon as the commander made a sound each time and since one of them ended up being jump I got it in 0.318s.

7. Get an average response time of 1.3s or less in The Ring - this is a round 2 minigame where you memorize the sounds and click the boxes to match the sounds as quickly as possible. This game seems difficult the first few times you play it but once you realize have the timing works it gets very easy. First, during training memorize the sounds and keep saying them out loud so you have them down pat. Next, once the round starts you will hear the sounds and then the game gives you about 3 seconds to plan your move, which helps tremendously. Once you hear the sounds, do not worry about spinning around too much for the bonus because it may slow you down some, but instead number out what you need i.e. 4th box, then first box, then 2nd box. Finally, as soon as the game lets you, flip those boxes as quick as you can. At first 1.3s seemed impossible, but I have got it down to just over 1.0s now.

8. Achieve a score of 65 in Glottissimo - this is a round 3 minigame where you match the conductors pitch sequence using A, X, and Y. One thing to note is you can press the buttons as fast as you can, you do not need to go the same speed as the conductor. This will help get many more rounds in and since this is an easy minigame overall this is not too bad. Another card requires a perfect game with no mistakes (hard to cheese since this is a late round minigame so better players), and another card has one of the worst challenges in the game which is to perfectly replicate an 8 round sequence (requires, Skill, luck, and RNG).

9. Perform 3 perfect sequences in a round of The Space Race - this is a round 3 minigame where you basically play Guitar Hero using A, B, X, and Y on 4 different records. A sequence is just one whole record, so as long as you hit all the notes (and do not overhit a button), it counts as perfect. You need to play 3 of these records perfectly.

10. Earn first place in a round 2 minigame - self explanatory

11. Complete 100 challenges - self explanatory, there are 135 total so you will have that by the time you complete this card.

12. Spend 180000 crumbs - self explanatory

13. Achieve a score of 220 in Guilty - this is a round 1 minigame, and in my opinion one of the hardest challenges in the game. You need to average 3rd place per round and make no mistakes. If you get lucky, there is an item bonus that adds points to your score which would help tremendously. Typically, just getting all 8 correct will net you around 200 points, so this would almost guarantee it.

14. Make no mistakes during a game of Piano Mezzo Forte - this is a round 1 minigame. My best advice would be to not worry about the bonus round spinning, or the items. Many times I would get the penalty items which almost automatically makes you miss notes so it was not really worth it. Other than that, just keep at it.

15. Make no mistakes during a game of Run Pigeon Run 2 - this is a round 4 minigame, and is no different than the same challenge for Run Pigeon Run. I would ignore the bonus round spinning and the item bonuses as they tend to throw off your rhythm. These level run around 2 minutes long so just keep with it and you will eventually get this one.

16. Get an average response time of 0.450s or less in Oui Votre Majeste - this is a round 4 minigame and is CHEESABLE. Exactly the same as Yes Commander, but with only one life. 0.45s is tough doing legitimately but here is my advice: If you want to guarantee this it will take some patience and luck - As long as you get ONE correct answer it will count. So what I did was just press A (or whatever button you want) as soon as the king speaks and if you are right, then on round 2 just do the same thing and your average time will be ~0.2 or 0.3 seconds. I know it sucks since you effectively have only a 25% chance of getting this, but trying for this naturally will absolutely take more attempts than just guessing, I can almost guarantee you that so I hope this advice helps for one of the toughest in game challenges!

17. Achieve an average score of 95% in Fitness - this is a round 2 minigame. 95% is not too terrible once you get the timing down. One of the items is a 25% score boost in a round which helps tremendously with your precision score. It is slightly better to be a tad late when releasing the analog stick than to release a tad early.

18. Perform 3 perfect sequences in a round of That 70s Race - this is a round 4 minigame where you basically play Guitar Hero using A, B, X, and Y on 4 different records. A sequence is just one whole record, so as long as you hit all the notes (and do not overhit a button), it counts as perfect. You need to play 3 of these records perfectly. Chunkeh Munkeh noted in the comments that you may need to do 3 consecutive sequences perfect in a row. I am not sure as when I did my challenge I managed all 4 sequences and there is no way to check after the fact. Keep this in mind and make sure you do not overstrum as well as this prevents a perfect sequence.

19. Earn first place in a round 1 minigame - self explanatory

20. Earn first place in a round 3 minigame - self explanatory

For Faster than Sound, Try these tips, as I was able to consistently get 1.1 seconds on this game:

Do not play against bots, set region to none (crossplay does not matter). This makes it where there is no delay between rows after you hit A.

Set latency to the max of 40ms (this helps with faster than Sound too), although this should not matter too much so I would use this as a last resort so it does not throw your other games off.

Do not spin the stick between rounds at all

Use headphones

Use the dpad instead of toggle

Lastly, make sure you utilize the 2 to 3 seconds after the sound the plan your move, and the first two rounds should be insanely quick since there is only one and two sounds, respectively. If you need to hit the last one, just go left once instead of over 3 times. If your region is set to none there should be no delay between pressing A, and once you press A it automatically goes to the next row.

Side note, the more sequences you get using the first sound, and less you get utilizing the third sound, the better, since the first sound is only one button press (A) and the third sound is 3 button presses (right, right, A). The other two are two button presses (right, A and left, A).

Looks like you need to get perfect in the first 3 rounds of That 70s Race.

Just got a perfect in records 1, 2 & 4 and it didn't unlock. No bonuses, no missed notes or extra hits.

I will denote that, thanks for the input. I am not sure if this is always the case, but I do know that if you overstrum a note (game will denote an X on the track) it will not be considered a perfect sequence. I will add to the solution and see if others can confirm, appreciate it!

You do not need to get 3 perfect rounds in a row on That 70's Race. I got rounds 1,2 & 4 but still got the challenge

That's weird. I did it at least 4 times and never once got it. Multiple people on their discord said the same.

I have heard both, so I cannot confirm for myself one way or another. I got mine with all 4 perfect sequences. The first 3 sequences are the easiest typically anyways so if that is the case just keep at it. Biggest problem is it is a round 4 minigame so you have to grind it out each game for a 20% chance to even spin the game.

70s was my last challenge to do, and I ran it a fair few times. I got 1-2-4 on several goes, but this didn’t unlock it for me. I also got 1-2-3 but used the bonus power-up on the 3, and this also failed to unlock the challenge. The only way I got it was by doing 1-2-3 fair and square, without any assistance.

For bonus rounds, if you manage to get one after the final round by spinning the stick, then provided you win the tournament, you will be the only one in the bonus round so you will automatically get a bonus round win as well. Normally only happens if everyone is really keen to spin the stick and you get two bonus rounds (after round 2 say and after the final round)

Also, if you play against bots you will always get a bonus round after round 2 and another after the final, both of which I believe you cannot lose against bots.

I have done 1 and 2 and 4 record perfect and it did not give me the last unlock I needed... kind of pissed off...

This needs to be done in one turn of the record right? I am wondering if it is worth it to try to just hit some notes per turn and see what happens, but the mini game happens so sparsely that I would not prefer to waste a try...

I believe it has to be in one turn of the record with absolutely no overstrums. Sounds like you need 3 consecutive turns and not just 3 in a game.

So I finally had the courage of wasting one of the rare final run with '70 Race... and I can confirm that this is much easier than I ever thought. I can't believe how many trie I have waste, reaching also the 1-2-4 perfect runs in a single turn, and I can confirm it is not needed.
I REPEAT. YOU DO NOT NEED TO MAKE IT IN ONE TURN. JUST DO NOT OVERSTRUM (YOUR RECORD SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY WHITE Xs).

I can confirm that for That 70's Race, all you need to do is make sure there are no X's (incorrect hits) on the record. You can take as many revolutions as you need, just no X's. I did the first 2 rounds in a single rotation flawlessly, then I did the next 2 rounds in 2 rotations each. I just focused on two buttons at a time. I did all 4 rounds flawlessly that way and it counted for the challenge.

I can also confirm that multiple rotations is fine for That 70s Race. Additionally it's worth clarifying that when two notes are listed at the same time on the record, they don't have to be hit together in the same rotation, you can hit one and get the other on the next spin.
