How to unlock the So Close... achievement in Heavy Rain - Definitive Guide

This trophy has a few steps involved. You need all four characters to make it to The Old Warehouse. While Jayden is fighting the Origami Killer, don't push any buttons. Let him be killed. While Madison is trying to convince Blake that Ethan is innocent, let her get arrested. After rescuing Shaun, resuscitate him and carry him out. Have Ethan put him down before opening the door. Doing those three things will earn you this trophy (and a few new endings, so make sure you're saving if you're doing this on Chapter Select).

It doesn't matter whether Jayden fails or beats the Origami Killer. What is important is that Madison gets arrested and Ethan saves Shaun. This forces Ethan to put Shaun down when he leaves (regardless of what Jayden did), which leads to this trophy.

I actually wonder if you could also get it by simply failing to save Shaun, but I'd already unlocked it before trying that path.

Jadon can defeat Shelby, but you don't have to perform actions for Madison. Then she will be put in a police car, and Ethan will be shot by snipers!

To receive the trophy, all heroes must reach the “Hangar” level alive. After that, let Shelby kill the FBI agent, and Madison should be arrested.

I had another option - before the Hangar, everyone was alive, then Madison was arrested, Mr. Origami fell from the assembly line, and Ethan was shot. Trophy dropped

You can fail the agent's first QTE so you don't have to complete the rest. Will reduce time.
