How to unlock the She's Gonna Blow! achievement in Hexic 2 - Definitive Guide

Best mode to get this achievement is Marathon Mode.

You need to create special pieces, like Star Flowers or Emeralds. You just need 3 of them but it will be easier with more. Place them one near the other and then, when you have enough, press and hold button B to detonate one of the pieces.

As long as 3 or more of this special pieces explode in succession, you got the achievement.

Do the diagonal exploding pieces count?

Anyone still wondering the diagonal specials DO indeed count. Just tested this out in marathon mode with a cluster of 2 stars and a diagonal in close proximity. Detonated one of the stars with B and BOOM achievement unlocked when all three specials exploded together.

Playing on Marathon Mode, create 3 or more special pieces, i.e. Emeralds or Star Flowers. Star Flowers blow up all pieces that are touching them, and Emeralds blow up the two pieces they can swap, all dependent on the direction they are facing. Once you have 3 or more that are within those ranges, highlight the one piece that is going to be the beginning and press and hold B to detonate, and watch as all the pretty pieces explode into nothingness. So long as 3 or more pieces detonated in succession, the achievement will unlock.

Start Marathon Mode and you want to create Starflowers and Emeralds. Star Flowers blow up all pieces that are touching them, and Emeralds blow up the two pieces they swap with, all dependent on the direction they are facing. Once you have 3 or more that are within those ranges, highlight the one piece that is going to be the beginning and press and hold cn_B to detonate, and watch as all the pieces explode. When 3 or more special pieces are exploded in a chain reaction, it will unlock.
