How to unlock the I'm untouchable! achievement in Hi-Fi RUSH - Definitive Guide

To get this one, save scum it. I played through the first level twice on easy to get it. You need to not get hit by enemies, crushed by crushers, or fall off platforms. If you do take damage, pause and Return to Title. Continue, reload your save, and then carry on with 0 damage so far.

For the boss battle with the robot, double jump and dash when he does his swipe attacks, also do not go for the QTE to break his mask, If you fail it, that counts as 1 damage. Also he swipes immediately after and I got hit by that a bunch of times when going for this. The first quarters of his health are checkpoints, so you only need to keep it together for the entire second half and use the special attack when you can.

Great tip! For those who might try and stack this one with "I hit things with a guitar really well." I'm not sure you can get S rank on the final boss without the QTEs so might be worth two separate plays of chapter 1.

You’re probably better off saving this for Track 12 given that it’s just a boss fight and apparently no-damaging every boss is required for the Wall of Fame achievement.

Either it's bugged or stage 12 might not count, since I've unlocked "Stand Down in Awe" on the Wall of Fame for beating the final showdown without taking any damage, but the achievement didn't unlock.

Track 12 does work, but note that parrying seems to give you a sliver of health back (at least on easy difficulty, idk how it is on higher difficulties yet) Since the first time I beat the boss I didn't get it but I made sure to pay more attention to taking damage the 2nd time and got it. Also there will be a star next to your finishing rank to let you know if you got it.

As others have mentioned, this is easily done in track 9 or 12 as you need to do those anyways without getting hit to finish the Wall of Fame. I personally did it on track 9 with the High Risk, High Reward chip equipped. At Level 3, you only need to hit her a few times each section.

For an Extra tip you don't have to quite to main menu you can just go back to the hideout and restore checkpoint and all no hit damage will carry over. This should also work if you are going for the no boss damage runs on bosses.

I´ve unlocked this achievement, at track 9 during the fight against Mimosa.
The key is dodge and parrying her lasers.
If you get hit, just reload your checkpoint.
If you get her first healthbar down, without getting hit you get the first part, as a no hit fight.
If you get hit, always reload the checkpoint.
I menaged to get the "I'm untouchable!" and "I hit things with a guitar really well." achievement, during this boss fight.

While I hit things with a guitar really well. (30G) is all about style and substance, this one is all about safety. It doesn’t matter if you get D ranks here, you just need to not get hit.

Similar to the S rank achievement, the same stages apply here:
  • Stage 3
  • Stage 6
  • Stage 9
  • Stage 12
I’d say because of how telegraphed the boss attacks are in 1 as well, chapter 1 is also an option.

Now, for this achievement, parrying and dodging are incredibly important. So, if you have the following chips get them installed:
  • Invincible D-Parry - A fully upgraded chip here grants you 9 beats of invincibility for a Just Timed Directional Parry. Which can be very helpful!
  • Damage Rebound D-Parry - This will force the damage you would have received back on the enemy.
If things get mental, and you can find the rhythm, just get somewhere safe and tap the parry along with the beat, until a window opens up for you to attack.

On top of that you’re going to want to use your partners a lot too, and if you have Macaron’s Barrier Wall Special Ability, that will protect you from 3 hits should you activate it, even better. Just take your time, don’t get stuck in the middle of a group, and watch out for attacks off-screen and you should be able to do this.

If you get hit, quit out and reload your save, meaning you won’t have to repeat all the previous stages that you did flawlessly.

Also, it states taking damage in a stage… so don’t mess up the platforming either!

It's easiest to do on
at low difficulty level.
For chips, I recommend “Justified Risk” (Level 3) and “Magnetic Battery” (Level 2), “Hibiki” for a rush attack.
If you suddenly receive damage, then go out to the shelter and enter the level back through “Continue”. This way, the fight will start from the last phase where you left off (even from boss phases 2 and 3), rather than from the very beginning of the level.
