How to unlock the I think I found your calling, Macaron achievement in Hi-Fi RUSH - Definitive Guide

From my testing I found that this achievement isn't very farmable unlike the similar achievement for Korsica (put out 50 fires), as shields don't really regenerate. I would suggest maybe playing through the entire game twice, getting other achievements and collectibles on the way, as a typical run will get you around 25 shields broken.

I think you can do this in the training room (Talk to Peppermint) and select an enemy with shields.
I did the same with Corsica's Fire Achievement (just select a fire opponent)
worked for me.

this can now be farmed in arcade mode, from finishing the story to level 3 of arcade was all it too for me to do Korsica and Macaron's achievements

At the beginning of chapter 4 you’ll have Macaron at your disposal to smash through walls - and also to use in battle. Macaron is called into battle the same way that Peppermint is - just use lt.png to change characters first though.

To get this achievement simply call him in, in the middle of battle, to smash some shields - these are different to the barriers for Peppermint, for this achievement it means physical shields, so the ones that the 4 legged robots have, as well as the full-sized shields the green robots are holding.

Do it 50 times and this achievement (and Z-shielding's got nothing on us! (5G)) will unlock.
