There's an easy way you can farm this one out pretty early on.
In the underground magma level (3rd level I think) you encounter a motorcycle shaped robot that can generate shields around the normal enemy robots. Don't attack the enemies yourself, just keep calling in Peppermint with
each time their shield reappears.
Should only take a couple of minutes.

You unlock Peppermint as a partner on Stage two Production, giving you a ranged gun ability using . After this point you will start seeing certain enemies with a blue over shield (barrier) - such as the BA-B00 just before the Production stage boss fight.
If you shoot and destroy these "barriers" with Peppermint it should slowly progress the achievement tracking. You need to do this 10 & 50 times for both achievements.
Note: Removing the BA-B00's barrier in the training room doesn't count. Must be done in live play during any of the stages.

Towards the end of chapter 2, in the Production building, you’ll come across a blue shield barrier door, at which point Peppermint will introduce you to a new ability: the ability to call her in with 
and blast barriers. Not only can she do this for barriers in the world, but she can also do this on enemy barriers as well.
Call her in 50 times to destroy 50 blue barriers, and this achievement is all yours.
