Numerous guides exist for how to complete the various challenges that will get you the XP to get you to level 20, so I won't waste time rehashing those. The guides posted for the first HITMAN will do a lot to get you there, which you can find here:
My contribution is just to point out that the bonus missions The Icon and Landslide ALSO count toward your location mastery along with the escalation contract you have to complete for other achievements. So, if you plan to complete those achievements as well, and if you're reading this guide, I can't imagine that you wouldn't be planning to, don't bother grinding out challenges unless you want to. The Sapienza level variants that exist for The Icon and Landslide are MUCH smaller maps with significantly easier challenges (only 3-5 disguises for the Chameleon challenge, for example), so you can grind to level 20 much quicker, not waste any effort, and only take on the extra challenges that look like fun to you.
