How to unlock the Let No Joyful Voice be Heard achievement in HITMAN - Definitive Guide

Take the Jaeger-7 Sniper (Paris Mastery Level 5 Unlock) and stash in it the ICA Safehouse (you can also start from there). Sneak near the Shore and shoot the Bells on the Ship the following Order to unlock the Achievement. (I thought with last Patch you didn't need to complete the Level to save a Challenge as completed ... but that seems not the case.)

Since aiming is horrible in this game I recommend aiming with the right stick and then move with left stick to fine tune your shot

The challenges do save but won't be added on until you finish the level, I was reloading and restarting quite a bit doing various things and as soon as I finished the level I went from level 3 to level 17. Also I think if you quit to the main menu and restart the level it will save the challenges then . My achievement for level 20 mastery popped when I did that.

Oh you can also do this from the ruins if you have it as an option that way you wont have so sneak anywhere with the Jager you can pick it up and shoot from there.

I'm on top of the bells. I've tried 3 different areas to shoot from. YET when I shoot them it doesn't ring, I'm about to break my Xbox in half cause of this achievement, what am I doing wrong?

I missed a few shots, but not many. Fairly simple. Aim with the right stick then move the left stick to fine aim the correct spot.

If you're struggling with this you should consider getting the Amalfi Pearl (Sapienza Mastery Level 20) achievement first since that unlocks the Jaeger 7 Lancer sniper rifle. This has an extra zoom level (press cn_up while holding cn_LT). It does not have a silencer so there's a chance your shots will be heard and a bodyguard will investigate your location but you should be able to subdue/kill him easily. I was able to do this without missing a shot from the church bell tower rather than the location shown in the video. I did this straight after doing the telescope shot for the Sapienza Trinity achievement.

Just a side note - I spent 15 minutes trying to do this only to later find out that you can't be compromised. I eventually restarted and got to the same point and the only thing I had under the map was "Trespassing" and it worked out fine. Thanks for the guide.

I just did this and I WAS compromised as I did it, but it still popped. So I’m not sure what went wrong with LSUGamez. You’ll see a bit of smoke when you hit the bell correctly.

A few things that helped me with this:
1) get up close to the screen if you are having trouble picking out the bells and seeing when they’re targeted.
2) you can save after you hit each bell and reload when you run out of ammo, it remembers the bells you hit before the save. That way you don’t have to start from scratch each time. Obviously don’t save if you used more ammo than you’d like.
3) use the 1234 order in the still image; in the video they show them being shot in a different order, which confused me at first, but the kraken doesn’t come up until after a video cut.

if you get to mastery lvl 20 you can store a sniper rifle in the ruins and spawn there as well, climb to the highest point, take out the guard & easy

I had to do this twice in order for it to unlock. Ruins is a far better snipping spot.

Aiming is fine in this game, plenty other games have much worse. The aiming is actually much more forgiving than previous Hitman games laugh

I just started from the safehouse, grabbed the sniper rifle, and made a run across the square to the church, a few ppl saw me but I ran into the undercroft of the church, killed a bodyguard and changed into his outfit cooling things down to 'searching'. Then made my way to the roof, thought I'd get a better shot from the edge of the graveyard so I shimmied down the drainpipe and ran to the west wall.

Note that there are two boats that look exactly the same for this, one of them has the bells on it and all I did was aim exactly on them, no arching, and hit them all first try.

Achievement and challenge unlocked right away. smile Thanks for the guide.

Start the mission with the Jaeger-7 sniper rifle waiting in the ICA Safe House (building to the right of the Villa's main gate). Grab the sniper and leave the safe house through the bathroom. Walk along a thin ledge over to an open window leading to the kitchen. Sneak past the cooks, out to an open patio, then follow the cliff-side around the next building.

Follow the path until you see a guard leaning on a railing. Distract him with a coin and continue down the path on the right. There will be another guard along this path, so be ready to take him out. Continue down to a short wall facing the ocean.

With the rifle, look for a lone boat in the distance with 4 bells on it. Shooting these bells, in the right order, will summon the Kraken and unlock your achievement!
- First one is halfway up the left most sail.
- Second is on the very front of the boat ( I don't know the proper boating terms).
- Third is on the top of the middle sail.
- And the fourth is in the right side of the cabin.

Thanks for writing the steps out. I prefer not having to watch videos, and I was able to follow the written instructions just fine. The only recommendation I have, since there are a number of boats to choose from, is to add that you are to look for a sailboat with three sails and a red cabin.

If like me you’re struggling to hit the bells from the observatory, instead I found it easier to do this by starting at Sapienza Ruins and smuggling the sniper rifle to the pickup in the ruins. (You’ll need to get pretty far in the mastery to unlock the starting point and the agency pickup).

Climb to the top of the tower in the ruins and dispose of the guard at the top. His back is to you so a gentle push would be ideal.

Now look out towards the boat and you’ll see that it’s a bit closer to here than to the observatory balcony.

The Jaeger 7 lancer is a good choice here because, while not silenced, it has a double zoom, and you’ll be able to get all your shots away before anyone can get to you.

Hit the bells in the same order specified in the other guides (Left, right, top, bottom), and boom!

Here is a video guide with English commentary for this achievement!You will need to equip a sniper rifle, the one used in the video is unlocked by reaching mastery level 5 in Paris. Follow the path shown and shoot the four bells in the order shown. The Kraken should appear, unlocking both a challenge and your achievement or trophy.

Okay, so it seems like a few people are having the same issue as me. You hit the bell, you know for a fact that it didn't miss, but all you hear is the bullet casing fall to the ground. No bell ringing, and it's driving you insane, right?
Well I don't know if recent updates took away the rings, but go ahead and move onto the next bell. When you know you've hit it, proceed on. Make sure to use cn_LS to move left and right when aiming; it's much better than trying to shift left or right with the cn_RS
I got the achievement without hearing a single ring

This is accomplished using the sniper rifle (Jaeger-7) (Paris Mastery Level 5 Unlock). Place it in the stash in the ICA Safe house (and preferably start from there). Sneak near the Shore and shoot the Bells on the Ship (in the order shown) to unlock the Achievement. [click image to enlarge]

(2) very front of the boat (end of forstay for jib sail).
(3) top of the Main (middle) sail.
(4) the forward side of the cabin.

This easter egg is related to summoning the Kraken out of the ocean. To do it, you have to snipe four bells in a specific order. Describing it in text would only confuse you, so follow the video below for an easy achievement.

We do everything as in the video, but instead of the Jaeger 7 sniper (shoots silently, but without magnification), we take the Jaeger 7 Lancer (shoots noisily, but with zoom). In the first case, I tried for an hour to hit 4 bells, but in the second, I passed with 4 shots the first time. While they are looking for you, you will have already knocked down all the meshes and gone to another part of the location.
You can also start not from the main square, but from the shelter. It’s faster.

I did it with Jaeger 7 without any problems, just set the sight sensitivity to minimum and there will be no problems.

We look carefully at the video, a sniper with a zoom is of course much simpler and more convenient, but if it is not yet open in this location, we calmly take the Jaeger 7, taking good aim, we hit the bells perfectly. I don't think it will take you an hour. The main thing is to tune in and everything will work out.

Important! You need to shoot at the bells in this sequence.

Note from me: For some reason I didn’t get the sound of the bells hitting. Nevertheless, everything worked out.
