How to unlock the All firearms collected achievement in Hitman HD Pack - Definitive Guide

This achievement is gained for completing and viewing all firearms in the tool shed. A couple tips would be to collect firearms at the end of each mission so that you have them all in the tool shed. Also do not take weapons available into missions that you will discard them or lose them in; because then they won't be in your the shed when you return. What I did was make a list and collect them as I went finishing the mission and then moving on to the next weapon needed (seeing as you can only finish each level with one long weapon). On chapters where you don't return to the church before the next chapter starts (and say you completed the prior level with a rifle) you can drop that weapon and go for a new one. The first level Anathema was the only level I had to replay to gather them all in a good order. Here's my list in order of how I gathered all of the weapons to help you know what to take with you:

01 - blank unknown melee item above the fiber wire/knives does not need to be displayed
02 - Fiber Wire - is a default and though it is blank does not need to be displayed
03 - Kitchen Knife - default after parcel is retrieved at Gontranno
04 - Anaesthetic - default and is always replenished
05 - Ballers (unsilenced) - default weapon

*06 - Ballers SD (silenced) - gained for your first Silent Assassin award
*07 - Sawed Off Shotgun - Gained from achieving 2 Silent Assassin awards
*08 - M4 Carbine - Gained from achieving 5 Silent Assassins awards *IN A ROW (credit to BLAZE VII for pointing that out. And credit to IVIr IVIeNsA for explaining that you cannot simply complete the same level with a SA rank five times, it must be consecutive levels played, i.e. 1-5.) If you don't feel like doing this it is possible to retrieve an M4 from one of the UN officer's in The Motorcade Interception... however you'll have to plan on them killing each other with friendly fire from the jeep's machine gunner, otherwise if you kill them you would fail the mission.)

09 - 9mm Pistol - collected in almost ever level, the first guards in Anathema have them
10 - D.Eagle - collected in Anathema, from the room marked with a "!" a couple of the guards
11 - Revolver - collected from your target in Anathema (the Don)
12 - Golf Club - collected from the Boss' bedroom in Anathema
13 - Shotgun - collected from the front door guard or the attorney in Anathema
14 - R93 Sniper - collected from the garage in Anathema (beside the red escape vehicle)
15 - SVD Dragunov - collected from the metro station locker #137 in St. Petersburg Stakeout
16 - 9mm Pistol SD - collected from Hitman drop-off locations as well as numerous enemies
17 - AK74 - collected in Tubeway Torpedo
18 - Combat Knife - collected from your target in the interrogation room in Tubeway Torpedo
19 - .54 Pistol - collected from your target holding the ambassador at gunpoint in Invitation To A Party.
20 - SMG - collected from Invitation To A Party carried by guards and becomes very common

21 - Crossbow - collected at drop-off point in Hidden Valley (at the start by a half-back truck)
22 - SMG-SD6 - collected from ninja commandos in At The Gates (long rifle SMG version with silencer)
23 - Katana Sword - collected from ninjas in Shogun Showdown
24 - .22 Pistol SD - collected in Shogun Showdown from the basement museum on display
25 - Fire Axe - collected from the fire station in Basement Killing
26 - M195 Sniper - collected from your contact in Motorcade Interception
27 - M60 MMG - collected from Tunnel Rat carried by some guards and also left in the sleeping quarters
28 - SP12 Shotgun - collected from the first contact in Temple City Ambush
29 - Uzi - collected in Terminal Hospitality cultists/guards
30 - Scalpel - collected from basement room in Terminal Hospitality (marked with a "!")
31 - W2000 Sniper - collected from Mr.17 in St. Petersburg Revisited
32 - Custom Sniper - collected from snipers inside church in Redemption at Gonntaro Sanctuary

At the completion of the game the achievement will not unlock; so perform a mission select and quickly finish the first level Anathema and any missing weapon achievements will unlock after the save screen.

That's an excellent point to take note of...I lost my m4 because I dropped it in a mission and the next time I went to my shed it was gone. I even got the achievement for having all assault rifles but there's no m4 in my shed now. I'll have to go for this on my normal playthrough now cuz I really don't wanna get 5 more silent assassins on pro. Also I'm not sure how you got the m4 and double barrel sawn off but I thought it was for getting 2 and 5 silent assassin ranks in a row. I'm pretty sure it has to be in consecutive order to unlock . That's how I remember it from ps2 anyway and that's also how I unlocked it. Also if your in a super hurry for this achievement you can get the w2000 from an outside 2nd floor balcony in "invitation to a party" and provided your comfortable with killing your way outta there you can get this sniper early.

The first 5 missions are the only ones I did with an SA rating, the rest I just did a run and gun. I think the game unlocks the M4 and sawed off shotguns if you get SA ratings, and keeps the tally if you still lose those guns. If you need an M4 the UN guards from Motorcade Interception have them... but collecting certain guns in Pro is a pain. I got really lucky I found the Custom Sniper dropped in Redemption (I was thinking I was going to have to return to At the Gates).

That's how I did my first 5 and then I switched to any means necessary. The game on ps2 would lock up if you tried to leave the motorcade with the m4...I didn't wanna chance anything on my pro run so I'm just saving this for normal

I'm only planning on doing one run, SA the first 5, and then whatever I want. But, is it not possible to change the difficulty after playing on Pro and unlocking all difficulty related achievements? Or am i gonna be forced to collect the weapons on Pro.

Im not sure if it needs to be consecutive btw. I got SA on level one, then got pro on 2. I thought I would have had SA, but no. I then replayed two, this time getting SA. I unlocked the sawn offs.

You can't switch between difficulties and carry weapons over. You are forced to start a new game each time and no guns carryover. You can reload chapters, but you're stuck on whatever difficulty you originally selected.

Oh and btw "spyforhire" for this:
*08 - M4 Carbine - Gained from achieving 5 Silent Assassins awards

You should mention that it needs to be IN A ROW!!!

Someone on x360a mentioned that you can also obtain the M4 in the 'The Motorcade Interception" mission by dropping UN soldiers with the fibre wire, then again you can't kill them or you fail the mission:

The plus side of Pro is that after your done, the other two play-throughs are almost a cakewalk because you're not worried about taking anything with you. I either carried the SP12 shotgun or SMG-SD6 just to mow people down. With short bursts the SMG will take people down from a long distance away. Often they won't even see you or they'll run circles around the bodies.

See if I chapter select and do 5 silent assassins in a row will I get the gun or do I need to start a new game from the beginning.

@ paddycfc22: Chapter-select will suffice but be sure to "continue" after your first "Silent-Assassin" mission. I'm not sure if backing-out to the main-menu will cancel it.

In Motorcade Interception, if you can get one of the UN soldiers to kill another soldier, you can pick up the M4 he drops without issue.

You touched on it in the description but just to be a million percent sure, I've picked up the crossbow in hidden valley and have not dropped it. I carried it all the way through the next mission. I'm now on shogun showdown STILL with the crossbow. however this mission seems impossible if your carrying it. Can I drop it now as I finished two missions with it? Or do I have to keep it until the game returns me to the tool shed? Thanks

you can drop the crossbow after you complete the chapter and at the start of the next one. you know you're ok and in a chapter when you start out undisguised in that white snowsuit.

Ok thanks. Replayed the first mission to get a couple of guns I missed. I pressed save at the end of the mission to find that when I returned to the tool shed, all my previous weapons had dissapeared! This game is such a broken, frustrating mess. The save system is put together by a bunch of inept fucktards

Great guide thankyou very much. One small thing though, please will you ammend the M4 solution. You wrote 'in a row' which is a little ambiguous. I assumed it meant you could replay the same lvl 5 times in a row getting SA each time and that would be fine, but it didnt work. You should change it to 'on consecutive missions' or something to that effect

That's a bungler... he has the only one in the game I think. Maybe it is because that isn't just a loading screen it is a mission at that part in the game. What other snipers do you need?

How do you get the M195 from Motorcade Interception? I've no problems sniping the boss, just unable to escape with it. I tried to snipe from the mosque as some videos suggest, but was unable to do so. So infiuriating.

I took out a lot of the guards, so when you run down from the mosque to the hole in the wall there's no gunfire. The UN soldiers can definitely hit you on top of that thing, and fall damage from the top straight to the bottom will kill you every time. So use the stairs to the back, then drop off the ledge there, then sprint to the wall.

Sadly I can't seem to snipe the target from the mosque. I tried to do the trick where I'd aim the sniper's cross-hair at the vehicles' "spawn point", but even when I zoomed in the maximum, I was unable to get an accurate shot in (because I really suck at sniping). I think I may have to play it on normal and make a run for it hoping that I get lucky. :(

When you get in position, the status of "Motorcade approaching the city" will show up. As it comes in, turns left, and then straight to the gate shoot just the front engine of the UN troops Jeep. Then scan over and shoot the target in the back of the limo, which should be stopped behind. Do it fast before the UN troops machine gun you down.

I eventually got the M195 by bringing a M60 into the level and gunning everyone down (my wife screaming "there's one more on the right!" helps alot). Then I sniped from the middle, ran to a random dead soldier (so many of them...), took his clothes and walked calmly to the exit with the rifle. Yes I left the M60 there, but that one is easy to re-collect...

Hey, got something to add because I had some troubles in finding all weapons because they disappeared or did simply not register in my shed after I collected them.

First Problem: They disappear. I read many forums and tips and the only thing I found is that this game has a big problem with simply exiting it through the menu, what sometimes causes weapons to vanish from your collection. I lost 3 weapons through this. The only solution I found; if you want to quit out of a mission or want to go back to the main menu at the Mission End Screen - Press the guide button and Dashboard out. Sounds not logic but since I did this, no weapons vanished.

Second Problem: They dont register to your shed. I had this problem with all the weapons out of missions that have a immediate follow up mission without 47 visiting the church(example Crossbow in Hidden Valley). Solution to make them register is after you finished your level - start a mission like Anathema where you can choose your loadout for the mission. Once there you should see the weapon, in this example the Crossbow. Start the mission without choosing anything, dashboard out of this mission, load your last save and start the next mission (in this case Samurai Showdown). Weapon is registered and in your shed.

Thumbs up for your solution btw ;)

Do you have to complete the 5 levels in a row like in one sitting, without switching the game off? Or just have a SA rating on 5 consecutive levels, regardless of when you do it?
0
0
By Thinreaper on 18 Apr 2013 00:02
You have to SA Rank 5 levels in a row, not in one sitting, not first try. You can reload levels without SA rank every time you are in the shack or in the menu. As soon as you have managed to SA Rank 5 consecutive levels the M4 will unlock.

Really thought I would have difficulty taking the M195 without using the M60, but I just played on the game's terrible AI scripting. I killed the 4 guards and 2 civilians near the Agency Pickup, then waited nearby as the guards kept coming over and finding the bodies before I killed them, until I had taken out most of the guards between the Sniper Rifle and the gate. After I sniped the target, I made a run for it back to the dead guards and stole a uniform. I could then get the end rather painlessly.

You really don't need to kill everybody and you certainly don't have to bring the M60 if you don't fancy picking it back up again.

M4 - can confirm you can kill the UN soldier with FIBER WIRE. Just did it that way, got the M4 and achievement unlocked. You should add it to your solution, I spent about 2 hrs trying to get UN soldiers killed in friendly fire with no succes and the fiber wire worked on my 1st try.

Just For reference I'm pretty sure the blank spot above the Fibre wire is the Lock pick as you only carry that and fibre wire when your in the church compound, well and binoculars but it doesn't look like binoculars.

I would just like to add that if you are going to get the M4 by getting 5 "Silent Assassin" ratings, the levels must be done CONSECUTIVELY by continuing the story in game, not through the mission select screen.

What happened to me is that I forgot to bring the anesthetic to "Invitation to a Party" and had to kill the ambassador during my first playthrough, so I didn't get my "SA" rank on the fifth (consecutive) mission. I then continued going through the game normally, but not getting an "SA" rating in five missions in a row. After I beat the game, I went to the mission select screen and chose "Invitation to a Party" and beat it with an "SA" rating, but did not get the M4.

If you have already beaten the game and want to get the M4 through 5 consecutive "SA" ratings, you'll have to go to the mission select menu and choose the first level "Anathema" then get an "SA" rating in that mission, then continue the game normally FROM THE LAPTOP in your shed. If you select a mission from the Mission Select menu, you will break the chain. You must continue the game normally (in-game) for five levels with the SA rating in order to unlock the M4 (that way).

Just a tip for anyone that missed the crossbow you can go back and get it complete the level and then quit and continue on the current level you were on before

Im not sure if that opening statement is correct.
I’ll state my experience here for any future AH: theres a lot of misinformation/lacking info about this game. I got my M4 by doing 5 SA in a row but i have heard you only need to do a “set” of missions in a row w/ SA for it.
For example, if you did all 3 Jap missions with SA, youll get a M4.
(I randomly lost my M4 so get it in Motorcade instead)

Instead of going ‘continue’ maybe choose the missions option instead & it might not take your current weapons into the next mission.
DO NOT do this if youre doing SA in a row for the M4, choosing that option instead of continue never saves, so even if you did 5 SA in a row that way = no M4

Weapons that need to be recovered from missions or awarded for receiving Silent Assassin ranks are listed below (35 detailed below). I did not include certain weapons that are duplicates or automatically started in your inventory.

After completing the mission with the firearm you have save and start he next level. You can quit to the title screen and select Continue on the menu to receive a full list of selectable missions. Just remember to complete it on your most current save as not to get shorted any firearms. Also DO NOT take weapons into levels and leave them, otherwise they are GONE. Then you'll have to recover them or be rewarded them again.

For the most part once your gain and finish the mission with the missing weapon, the achievement will pop right as your saving and changing to the next level. This saves you from having to go into the training room just to verify. Here is my list currently and I'm also providing levels where certain firearms can be found:

I would love to dump the mini-gun when it's served its purpose and not worry that I would need to go get it again from where it came from. But... it's just old-school gaming with rules that don't get used today in games thank goodness.

There' s single version, a single silenced version, a dual version, and dual silenced version of the weapons. I found that the wall is glitched in display and overlays guns on guns. Load a mission and when selecting your equipment cross check them with this list. That's how I found the gun I was missing.

Yes, but the levels are actually easier to SA and go faster than Silent Assassin where you get instantly spotted for partially running or being 15' to close to the enemies.

I found that getting the PGM Sniper out of Hunter and Hunted may prove problematic for some when playing on Professional difficulty. As such, I found this video that I tested and it works very well.

For people that have trouble with getting the PGM Sniper like me, even with the video posted by callum x360a that for some reason didn´t worked for me (disguise blown, random SWAT shooting at me, SWAT running round like crazy, ...).
--> Choose the M60, shoot the sniper from your hotel window and crouch behind your bed. Almost all SWAT will storm inside and you can kill them without too much trouble even in professional. When you leave your room, in the right floor will be 4-6 SWAT left. Go to the street, kill everyone thats left there (they won´t attack for some reason), pick up the Sniper and walk out of the place.

If you have trouble finding the M4 Carbine in Deadly Cargo
--> You have to be fast, go through the metal gate, inside the police office, take your Police disguise, leave the office and go inside the building with the blue power sign. Inside the door, directly to the right through another door. Here a SWAT member will enter, kill him with a silenced gun, finish your mission on the boat, come back, change into his disguise, grab his gun and calmly walk outside the level. Your disguise will not be blown with the gun.

These where the 2 weapons that gave me most trouble, hope this helps ;)

Can you get all weapons on Easy with SA ratings? If so then this is very fair. At the moment I keep getting spotted near end of missions after 15 minutes and I refuse to fail another 5 times like some missions. Can you tell me if this is possible on Easy and how many saves you get. I started on Pro and it's annoying me so much I gun every bastard down in the end. Please let me know.

1: I took weapons into missions and left them and I still had them. The minigun and the M60, even the pain in the ass silenced Uzi I couldn't put back away.

2: This can be done on normal difficulty. I did it and could show video proof. I followed this guy on YouTube Centerstrain for the most part. His guides are really good.

3: If your weapons are vanishing, be careful with your saves. I deleted old saves to save space and lost weapons I worked hard for. If you beat Hunter and Hunted, keep selecting the top option to play and select current game, save when you beat a level and just quit out when the next one loads. When I loaded an older version of Hunter and Hunted and went to the training room after, I was missing several silent assassins and weapons so basically, always save, load your most recent save and don't delete older saves.

Is it just me or are the weapons not counting when you collect them from aylum aftermath?

Wish I'd read through the comments properly roll.
There are 4 different Uzi's; just like the very first comment, I was missing the Micro Uzi S (single). Got there in the end. Glad to have this game done and dusted!

Since I completed the game on professional once, can I just replay each mission to get the weapons, or should I start a new game on an easier difficulty?

While Spy for Hire's guide is great list of where you can find weapons. But i always like a Visual aid on where to find weapons.

Also i did a Professional only run so i struggled with some levels such as getting the MiniGun out of level 1, or getting the PGM sniper and mp5 out of mission 12 . Luckily i stumbled upon James Hunt's Guides on youtube where he shows you how to do SA run as well as getting weapon and Misc achievement during certain missions. He has 17 walkthrough videos for all the missions/achievements (He first starts off with a SA walkthrough and then goes into how to take the weapons out.)

Ill just post the Hunter and Hunted Clip because that was the hardest one for me to get the weapons out of and with this guide i did it pretty easily.
and if you like his guide

Not going to give you a thumbs down for this because it's not your fault but unfortunately it seems like the video guides you mention and link to have been taken down from youtube.
