Mission: Dartmoor: Death in the Family
Recommended Spawn: Gardener
The first step is to have the family photo take place. This is accomplished by grabbing the crowbar, opening the working fuse cell on the side of the building, and taking this fuse cell to repair the photographer's fuse box. This will commence the family photo. You do not need to be the photographer.
We will next need to repair Emma's distillation kit using the wrench. The wrench can be found in the Staff Changing Room, and the distillation kit can be found in the Greenhouse. Use the wrench to repair the distillation kit.
Now, you will just have to wait for the family photo to take place, and afterwards, Emma will go to her greenhouse to craft the poison. Then just escort Emma back to the Family Meeting Room, and make sure she adds the poison to Alexa's drink. You may have to use a coin to distract Alexa to give Emma extra time.
Once Emma poisons the drink, Alexa will eventually come into the room and drink it, immediately dying. The achievement/trophy unlocks and you can leave the mission.

Maka, your video is named for the wrong challenge. "Another Death in the Family" is the challenge that corresponds with this achievement, which entails arranging for Emma to kill the target Alexa. The "Poison Ivy" challenge is different; it's for repairing the equipment then using it yourself to concoct lethal poison.
Also, getting the family photo event to play out is not strictly necessary. In fact, with patience I believe the only thing that's really required is using the wrench to fix the equipment, that's it. Emma will always go to the greenhouse after the family meeting, and Alexa does drink from that glass repeatedly, contrary to your claim in the video.
If you're not patient, another viable way to speed things up is to repair the poison equipment and investigate the book there, and fully investigate the butler (6 items in his office). Then tell the butler you've finished the investigation, and accuse him when meeting with Alexa. This may be slightly faster than arranging the photo shoot and waiting for it to play out, and the timing is better with regard to Alexa getting to her drink (you don't have to delay her with coins). And there's the added benefit of having her provide you with the case file, in case you want to make it a complete run through the mission (which is also not necessary).

I got this while randomly running around the mansion as the private detective. So weird I didn’t know what had happened at first, I didn’t do anything with the photograph or anything about escorting her somewhere, I did however fix the distillation thing in the greenhouse. Maybe that’s all you need to do and it sets off the sequence of events for it to happen anyway?

For this Achievement will need to Kill help Emma kill Alexa. there are two separate ways to do this either let Emma do everything or speed the process up yourself. I find it easier to do the job yourself the reason for this is because there are so many factors that could go wrong with the AI on this mission.
For this achievement its best to start off in the Garden you do not need any weapons for this challenge. As soon as you start the mission run and turn on the radio. Wait for him to come over and subdue him drag his body into the garden next to the box don't take his clothes just yet. Now what you need to do its subdue the mansion staff member drag him to the same place as the photographer.
Now its time to start setting everything up run over the other side of the garden and follow the mansion along. Take a right so your keeping the mansion on your right hand side and in-front of you is the point where the items are delivered. On top of a box of wine is a crowbar take it and turn around going back the way you came. As you go back left into the garden you will see a fuse box on the wall crack into it and take out the fuse.
Once you have taken the fuse run over to where you started the mission you will see another open fuse box we need to place the fuse we took into this one. Turn around and go to the left hand side of the fountain you will see a wrench take this turn around and head into the greenhouse.
Go to the greenhouse BUT DO NOT break into it until the guard has walked around to the left of the greenhouse. Break in and go right you will see a book on the table scan it with your camera. Now fix the machine on the table with the wrench you picked up earlier. to the left on the machine is a flower pick it up and craft the poison.
We are finally ready, go and take the photographers clothing placing him into the box, Head over to the camera and take a picture of the maid. She will then call the family down. After we wait a little while the family will ask for a photo to be taken take it and when Alexa tells you she has had enough quickly run over and take the mansion staffs clothing and put him in the box also.
Quickly run inside to the sitting run there is a bar on the bar is a glass of what looks to be whiskey poison it. The final step is to go over to the other side of the bar and wait. WARNING: I had to wait 12 min 37 seconds before Alexa made her rounds and came to drink from the glass.
Once she does she will drop to the floor dead and the achievement will then pop you also can unlock the challenge Tasteless, Traceless if you haven't already.

best way i found to help emma kill alexa is to spawn as a gardener
make the poisin in the greenhouse after getting the photographers disguise
then you need to poisin the drink of whisky that is in one of the first rooms you come to if you enter from the rear of the building
alexa will drink this after she has had her family meeting

The way I did it was a combination of the various solutions listed.
1. Spawn as Gardener (requires you to have passed the level before). You can start from the beginning as well, which cuts out Step 2 but takes longer.
2. Find the detective and steal his disguise (has the most access in the game). You can find him by turning on the "Means, Motive And Opportunity" Mission Story
3. Get the crowbar from the truck around the front of the house (opposite the garden, fountain, and greenhouse).
4. Get the fuse from the outside wall near the dining room/sitting room.
5. Place the fuse for the photographer. You can activate the "A Day To Remember" Mission Story if you want to find him easily.
6. Get the wrench from the fountain in the Garden.
7. Repair the poison making contraption in the Greenhouse.
8. Make poison (lethal)
9. Go to the Sitting Room (the big room directly up the stairs from the Garden / Fountain
10. Distract the guard closest to the whiskey glass on the bar. I flipped a coin in the hallway right behind where he is standing.
11. Poison the glass (the 2nd guard is far enough away that he doesn't notice).
12. After the photo shoot wraps, the group comes inside.
13. Alexa monologues for a few minutes.
14. Alexa takes about a 4 minute walk around the first floor being awful to people.
15. Alexa comes back to the Sitting Room and monologues again.
16. Alexa drinks the whiskey.
17. Alexa dies.

It took about a minute after the deed was done for the achievement to pop. I didn't need to finish or exit the mission. If you vote this down, tell me why and I'll improve it.
