Note: I'll keep things as spoiler free as possible but some things might be given away if you think too hard on it. I'll but some general tips for the last bit at the bottom just in case you want to wait until you reach the target to read that. I know other guides for the level go into more detail, but I'll keep it vague.
This is more of a clarification than a full guide. You will need Silent Assassin/Suit Only and all of the normal level challenges. Just make saves as you go and look at the challenges as the level goes on and reload saves to work on different things. You should only need to play the level twice and reload just the very end 2 more times because you need suit only and all outfits.
The only thing you really need to reload for is the very end. Which is explained with few spoilers at the bottom.
-With the recent update you will need to complete Silent Assassin/Suit only. This isn't difficult while managing save files. There isn't really any special path to take. The level is very linear.
Some other tips spoiler free tips:
-The code at the start is 1979.
-There are two shortcuts. The first you go to the next window and go back and the second you move forward and get a valve to open the container.
-Pick up the 2 big weapons, use the work bench with paint cans to make a silencer and use all 3 on enemies.
-Pick up a frag grenade. There are plenty in the level.
-Push a guard off the side. You can dump a knocked out guard if that's easier.
-Shoot a signal above the train. There are a lot of these.
-Knock out 3 guards with soda cans. There are several cans.
-There are 7 outfits. You should get most if you are sneaking around. They are pretty easy to spot. Keep plenty of saves if you miss one.
Possible spoilers for the last save:
Save before taking out the last target and you can reload after seeing the ending. There are 3 choices at the end: gun kill, inject, and, hold the thing from the case at the end for a minute instead of killing the target. After not using the item, there will be a prompt and then the a different ending you can watch.

Done every challlenge except shotgun. Then game update fixes it and awards me it. All challenges complete. Nothing. Restart game. Nothing. Play level again through till end. Nothing. End screen where it gives you rating shows 21/52 challenges completed. Only thing not done which I have been told isn’t necessary is the “the classics” challenges. Silent only, suit only etc. What am I missing?

I have everything and it didn’t pop for me, I’m in contact with the support team and it’s like pulling teeth, I’m constantly requested to submit a “Screenshots/A quick video directly showing the issue at hand” which I have multiple times but they don’t seem to understand. The frustration 🤦🏼♀️

After completing the level a first time I restarted a second to get the rest of the challenges and at the beginning of the level the achievement popped. I still have 1/2 assassination, 8/11 discovery, 3/7 feats. I didn't do a silent assassin run either. Very weird.

Not only did I not need SA/SO, but I also didn't need the hidden ending (Count Down for 47). Doesn't seem I was the only one either. So, not sure if it was a bug (so many in the game, what's one more) but worth mentioning.

I also used an auto save right before the end to get the Straight Shot challenge and got the achievement after stopping the train, even though I have the Soda Slinger, secret ending and SA/SO challenges still not complete.

I completed all of the Assassination, Discovery, and Feat challenges, plus SASO, and this didn’t unlock. It was only after I went through and did all of the Codename 47 challenges did I unlock it. Which is kind of annoying, because there are 5 of them and they need to be done in a certain order, with the first 4 being on other maps before finally being able to do the last one on Untouchable. Just glad the achievement worked though.

So I had missed a couple of the Sniper Assassin challenges from earlier games where, I went back and did them to the get challenge for the Sniper Assassin x17 challenge (I think it was 17).
After getting them and repeating this mission, I unlocked it. I didn't need anything from the Proloff Parable.

I got the achievement and put the following information to help. You need to complete the following things:
Assassination 2/2
Discovery 11/11
Feats 7/7 (the additional 3 are from the Deluxe Edition and I didn't complete them)
Targets 1/1
The Classics - The ones I completed were the following:
Silent Assassin
Suit Only
Silent Asssassin, Suit Only
I had completed Silent Assassin X 5 and completed Codename 47 before I picked up Silent Assassin, Suit Only and the achievement completed.

FYI, the Codename 47 challenges were added in late October '23. That's why you're seeing people report different findings.
I got this achievement after finishing the C47 challenge chain whilst having neither of the X/17 tallies maxed out.

Quick update for anyone else. The "Got My Boomstick" challenge NEVER unlocked for me, but I got the achievement after doing a SA/SO playthrough. Looks like the game realizes I did the shotgun challenge even though it never checks it off as being completed. Thanks for the guide!

I second others saying it's popping earlier than expected. On my first playthrough, I was already going for the challenges, but I didn't have 1-2 of them yet when I finished the mission but it STILL popped.
GENERAL TIP: Like what OP said, keep many saves. Save before using a disguise, then reload and don't wear the disguise and move forward. You can also move forward a bit with a disguise to see upcoming threats and the level design ahead so you're more familiar when you eventually decide to reload.
Tip for the SODA CANS: Multi-step challenges like this (hit 3 guards with 3 cans) only "save" when you complete it in one go. It won't "save" the challenge's "progress" if you just say hit only 1 guard, then reloading. So save up 2-3 cans and find opportunities to hit guards.

Is anyone able to confirm if the ‘Proloff Parable’ escalation contract has to be completed to unlock this achievement? (instead of the 7 feats shown in YouTube videos, my game shows 10 feats, with 3 of those related to that specific escalation contract).

Just did Codename 47, had no issues. The ones in suits don't count except for the one guy in the server room with a shotgun. I was worried that the number wasn't going up as well until that last guy popped it.
Went all the way through SASO. Somewhere, somehow, I didn't hide all the bodies. I have no idea which one, and I saved liberally to avoid that. Ugh. The rest of the challenges were easy, but this one...
