How to unlock the Rise to the Challenges achievement in Hogwarts Legacy - Definitive Guide
This specifically mentions "Battle Arenas" which doesn't include the Dark Arts Battle Arenas as part of the achievement. Which is great news, because there's only two Battle Arenas located on the map!
#1 The North Ford Bog Battle Arena - head North East from the "East North Ford Bog" Floo Flame.
#2 The Feldcroft Region Battle Arena - head South West from the "Irondale" Floo Flame.
To open the Battle Arena door you'll need to destroy all 20 white Urns that litter the area. The easiest method to spot these is using Revelio, which will highlight them in blue. Once the door is open, head inside to complete 5 waves of enemies that get progressively harder. If you are struggling with the waves go into the options menu and turn the difficulty down to "Story Mode." Completing the 5th and final wave in both arenas should unlock the achievement.
Note: Enemies will use all 3 spell shield variants, so ensure you have a red, yellow and purple spell equip to counter them.

There are only 2 arenas that count towards this achivement, the Darks Arts Arena does not count.
The first arena is located at the very north east of the map near the East North Ford Bog fast travel point.

The second is located in the south west part of the map near Irondale, there's also a side quest associated with it.

There's no difficulty requirement so if you are finding them too hard consider turning it down.

This achievement does not include the Dark Arts battle arena, meaning there are only 2 to complete:
- The North Ford Bog Battle Arena, travel to the "East North Ford Bog" floo flame and head North East.
- The Feldcroft Region Battle Arena - travel to the "Irondale" floo flame and head South West.
To unlock the arena, simply smash the white vases surrounding the area. They are easily spotted using Revelio. There is a counter displayed in the top right corner of how many you have smashed.
Fight through 5 waves of enemies in each to complete the arena.

To get this trophy, you have to defeat all 5 waves of enemies at 2 battle arenas:
* North Ford Bog sub-area:
* Feldcroft Region sub-area:
Go to the area on the map, clear all 20 vases (use Revelio to see them all), and then approach the mantle in the center. You should be prompted to "Start", and then a cutscene will trigger, after which point each wave of enemies will load in.
The challenge is NOT timed, and you can use Wiggenweld potions during them.

Dotted throughout Hogwarts and the Highlands are battle arenas - the open world quest that you get in Irondale will introduce you to them, or at least one of their locations.
On the map the icon looks like… well, depends on who you ask… it could look like a tower, it could look like someone holding their arms out with their cloak draping… you get the idea. It’s actually the latter, in case you were wondering.
There are 2 battle arenas in all (that count towards this achievement, as the Dark Arts in the Forbidden Forest does not count). One in the north and one in the south of the northern region (not including anything south of the Coastal Cavern).
The two locations are:
The strategy is: go in with 25 health potions, wrack up the combos to get Ancient Power and take out the weaker ones first - so that you’re not too heavily outnumbered. Oh, and dodge… a lot!
Just be careful with the reward here, and make sure that the Acromantula isn't the last enemy you take out (unless you've already taken out his minions). I say that because when I did it the first time around, my reward (a Thief's Coat, which is needed for the Collector's Edition (40G) achievement) bugged and didn't actually get given to me - I think because when the fight ended, the Acromantula's minions were still attacking me. I don't know the logic behind it, but I do know that the next time I did it, I killed the Acromantula first in wave 5 and I got my reward.

Before going to the arenas, I advise you to prepare: collect as many different potions as possible and have carnivorous plants in stock, prepare sets of spells (In total, you can make 4 sets in the game, but for this you will need to upgrade the corresponding talents. 1 talent = 1 additional set of spells).
To unlock them you need to destroy 20 pots. They can be easily found nearby.

- The first arena is located in the east of the North Ford Swamp region.
- The second arena can be found in the southeast of Feldcroft.
- For owners of the Deluxe edition, the game has a 3rd arena; it (the arena of the dark arts) is located in the Forbidden Forest. They fight on it using three unforgivable spells.

The deluxe arena of the dark arts is not taken into account, I completed it very first, but still the trophy dropped only after completing the two main arenas.

Mandrake is good at knocking down shields, and a spell that turns an enemy into a powder keg allows you to very well reduce the population of enemies when thrown accurately. If you don't want a challenge, I recommend going towards the end of the game or after the main story.
