Just progress through the story and you can’t miss it. When you finish the first trial you go back to the map room and talk to him as a painting.

To get this you must complete the quest Percival Rackham's Trial. This is the main story mission following The Map Chamber mission's completion. Professor Fig will go to the tower (later identified as San Bakar's tower). The videos below contain the Percival Rackham's Trial mission. It begins at 39 minutes into the part 12 video and concludes at 36 minutes into the part 13 video. The quest involves clearing a goblin camp and a dungeon complete with a final boss fight.

Since the last story achievement, the house achievement in the Map Room (whichever house you chose), you’ll have no doubt done a great deal. You’ll have learned to fly, discovered the amazing Room of Requirement, and you’ll have discovered more about the past.
This achievement, and you meeting Charles Rookwood, will pop after you’ve completed the “Percival Rackham’s Trial” main quest - the 20th main mission of the game.
