in regards to a save exploit can you at least make a save right before the sorting so you can skip the initial stuff before that?

No, you can't manually save before picking a house. It creates an auto save, but that's not helping, as you can't copy/backup saves anymore.

So I ran through each house questline to get this, the fastest I could do it was about an hour and a half to 2 hours. So not TERRIBLE.
