How to unlock the Upgraded achievement in Homestead Arcana - Definitive Guide

sadly, if you went around picking up all the books the first time you play the game this will require you to do a second run to unlock this since it seems you get one of the recipes to make a resolve pendant that wasn't supposed to be there on the first place.
1. start a new game
2. ignore all the books! DON'T PICK THEM UP!
3. The hemp silk method shall help you make enough money to get all the upgrades.
4. Another thing you can do to avoid problems is talk to the witch and get the jerky meat sell it and buy the recipe for the pendant right away in case you think you're going to accidentally pick it up.
5. After you buy all the pendant recipes you are set and ready to go and get the achievement good luck!

There is no need to use this strategy anymore. With a patch the bug is now fixed (probably not for already existing saved games). I found the book recipe for the resolve pendant before reading the guides, I was still able to buy all the other upgrades from Abraham and unlock the achievement.

I had the Resolve Pendant recipe bug on a fresh save and had to do a new game, so definitely make sure you follow this.

I recommend saving up most of your silver for the Money Bags achievement first:
The Money Bags achievement in Homestead Arcana worth 550 pointsHave 20,000 silver in your inventory at one time.
But once you've unlocked that one, simply buy everything from the Upgrades tab in Abraham's shop. If you check my Money Bags solution, there are a few upgrades I bought to help me grind money faster.
Dr Bullard notes that "to access all of the upgrades you'll need to have cleaned the swamp area".

Just to say that I must have picked up (or earned through the broom racing challenges) the recipe for the Resolve Pendant, so now I cannot purchase it from Abraham and earn this achievement

Same thing happened to me with Resolve, it is there but won't let me buy. My guess is that this will be patched since it is still a new release.
